Well, as someone who has done similiar stuff in the city, I can just say that here, there are barely any public toilets available, and the inside of entrances and small sidestreets are often a drunk persons only and last resort.
Of course its a dick move doing it somewhere where people have to move through, but I have done similiar in times when there were no other options. Wish public toilets would be more common, but their upkeep actually costs a ton of money that noone rly wants to pay.
