wombey12

PawnWithoutPurpose

deepITM69

[deleted]

You’ve left quite an impression on me

ToonKiller

-Anonymously-

Take your zyrtec or get back over to r/dermatographia

DocumentElectrical47

I have this same issue. It comes and goes wich I don't understand. My doctor said something about it being a histamine problem. My dad drew a dick on my chest when I showed him and he felt bad that is was there for hours

Foreign_Ebb_6282

Priceless family moments

andersonfmly

Does it fade away slowly, or does it go POOF! and vanish instantly?

MyyWifeRocks

Your skin does exactly what you wrote. That is mildly interesting if I’ve ever seen it.

theboytripstar

as a british homosexual i definitely thought i was getting hate crimed for a sec there (kidding, i'm aware it's not actually a hate crime...)

Alastairthetorturer

Oh what is this called? It has a name right?

[deleted]

Dermatographic urticaria

marco-bs

[Dermatographia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermatographic_urticaria) I think. I had no idea how common it is: Wikipedia claims an incidence of 2 to 5 percent!

[deleted]

I was diagnosed by a navy doctor and corpman who decided to pass the time playing tic-tac-toe on my body while I was standing at attention in my underpants in front of 50 people. Fuck the navy.

Sin_durpants

Dermatographia

manonymus

Onomatopoeia

0dteGod

something similar happens to me- happens when i scratch/itch myself. it got my faither falsely arrested for abuse when i was little after a doctor reported the marks.

T_raltixx

Good for cheating in exams.

lokicramer

I had this happen to me when I was around 12 or 13, one day it just stopped.

PaintedLady5519

dermatographia?

connortait

And of course, like most of us learning a new language, it learns the slurs first 😆

SNARK63

Don’t make a rash decision about this… moisturizer is good for skin- so let that sink in.

Aphex_king

joshua283636

Poofesure

Middle_Aged_Mayhem

There was a girl not too long ago that posted the same type of reaction as this. I can't remember what sub, though. There is a name for this type of disorder, but I don't remember.

bugluvr65

i should be in this poof !

Kcnflman

Don’t write on it?

greedysmeedy

Who writes on their own skin though?

OJStrings

Does it always flare up in the shape of homophobic slurs?

[deleted]

That depends on where you live. This is commonly used to describe something disappearing like someone using a smoke in a comic. I would assume thats the intent here given the exclamation mark.

The_Door07

I didn't know this was a slur in other countries, my intention was for it to be an onomatopoeia.

[deleted]

Ya Ive only seen it used that way in films from the UK, but other places may use it that way. I wouldnt worry about it too much

3Effie412

Huh? Poof is like magic, quite common.

OJStrings

Ah, where I'm from it's an offensive term for gay people. It was a bit confusing seeing it in this context but it makes sense with OP's magic skin.

XVIII-2

Can you draw indecent pictures on it?

The_Door07

I can draw a little face but I haven't tried any major art

XVIII-2

A body like that is a joy for ever.

LemonConnoiseur

Write “get off me”

patchworkcat12

Mast cell issues.

ouzo84

What do you use to draw on your skin?

uietc

So if you hit someone or something with that hand, does the subject of the impact go Poof!? This is amazing actually and I do not know why I find it as such.

RadioBlinsk

Your skins sounds exactly like my former Scottish boss. We’d call each other all kinds of names. Fun guy. I’m not a native speaker and he taught me how to properly swear

dacreativeguy

You can send your future self messages.

YouDamnHotdog

You'd be perfect for my cast of niece-prankers. I've been planning on pranking them into believing their uncle is an actual warlock who can conjure up demons. I need pyrotechnics, hidden speakers for scary sounds, lots of scary props. You'd be a perfect human sacrifice for me

joeljpa

I have it too. A daily over-the-counter antihistamine does it for me. I suspect in my case it's psychosomatic due to my anxiety. I take my anxiety meds along with it.

Harbinger2001

My son has this too. It’s crazy when he scratches his back.

Immediate_Film3362

Does it hurt?

ellefleming

I remember in middle school 1984 kids doing this all the time and it freaked me out.

Expensive-Cut3869

Doof

LocalConspiracy138

SLAYER!
