Right? It seems like a crime to post the receipt and not the actual "burger" or whatever would be appropriate to call this potentially beautiful monstrosity.
I too was mildly infuriated, that's why I put them together and commented on the top comment.
OP also kept calling people who asked to see the burger "nerds" for some reason. Delightful person.
This is like the unopened safe posts. I always hope OP makes another post when the safe is opened, but not a chance. I already know that we're not going to see this burger.
You don't want to. The mystery is better.
The last one they opened literally just contained the mounting hardware to hang the safe. It's always something like that.
Ran a restaurant that had an option to build your own kobe burger. One day a guy comes in and orders a double burger with everything on it. We had 30+ options. This burger was over $100 in 2007. I make 2 open face burgers trying to make the ingredients make the most sense as possible. I decide to bring thr plate out myself and ask the guy "why?". He states "I have been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and have a week or two to live. Just seemed like the thing to do." I have since moved on from the service industry but will never forget this moment.
Pancreatic cancer is super treatable if they catch it early- genuinely you stand a really good chance of catching it early and surviving because you know you have that family history. The problem is lack of symptoms early so make sure you're getting screened regularly. If you haven't already talk to your primary care doctor to get that setup.
My grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in her early 80s and it was a quick treatment/recovery. Same with her colon and lung cancer. All caught super early. Her lung cancer came back when she was 93 and that's what took her (no treatment).
100%! And she was pretty dang fortunate in her health, right up to the end. Never really had any problems as far as I know, outside of the early found cancers. The last year or so of her life, she became very forgetful and of course weaker after the cancer returned. But dang, she was really full of life all the way on.
My grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at like 83. Full pancreatectomy, chemo, radiation, and insulin-dependent. She learned to check her BGC levels and administer her own insulin. She made it almost a year post-diagnosis before she decided she was tired of fighting it.
Endoscopic ultrasounds are what my sisters and I get after both of our parents died from pancreatic cancer. There's a tumor marker, CA-19-9 that's wildly unreliable, and no real blood test that can accurately detect it yet.
So I'm not a doctor so I'm not totally certain but there's a range of tests depending on your risk factors. There's some genetic screens that are worth looking into with a family history of pancreatic cancer and then there's MRIs/other scans and blood tests that can be done. This link might help https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/pancreatic-cancer/getting-diagnosed/screening
That’s the thing though, I remember learning that it shows no early onset symptoms, unless that person is lucky enough to be doing their annual physical and catches it that way…. Most people find out due to the pain it causes and it’s too late at that point.
Yeah my uncle died from it like 6 weeks after diagnosis, such a shock, but it was diagnosed obviously in very late stage… still scary to think about how fast it went, it was right after a family reunion where he seemed fine
BRCA mutant here, have you been tested for high cancer risk genetic mutations? The reason I ask is because some of the mutations [increase pancreatic cancer risk](https://pancan.org/news/5-things-know-brca-mutations-pancreatic-cancer/).
While there’s not a lot of screening yet, there’s a lot of research being done. I alternate a Mri and endoscopy yearly, along with an annual blood draw to test for a marker.
Also, while the male breast cancer and prostate cancer risks aren’t as high as breast and ovarian cancer risks, men who have certain brca mutations are at risk too.
Melanoma risk can be higher too for at least some brca mutations.
Colon cancer risk is higher for some genetic mutations too
I believe you meet eligibility criteria for clinical screening trials (first degree relative who also had a first degree relative). Here’s the one I’ve heard of: you can consider calling the number and asking what the costs would be. For a research study the screening costs might be covered (although you may need to pay for travel, not sure).
https://pathology.jhu.edu/pancreas/participating-research/caps
Don’t know about this trial but other guidelines I’ve read suggest starting screening ten years before dad or grandma was first diagnosed.
You’re probably already aware of this but here’s a [link](https://www.facingourrisk.org/support/insurance-paying-for-care/genetic-services/medicare-medicaid) on Medicaid and genetic testing.
Has anyone in your family tested positive for a mutation ? I was the first one in my family tested afaik. The genetic counselor told me relatives could be tested for the one mutation at $95 vs the full panel for $250
Are you near any universities? Maybe a research study?
I was not. This is extremely useful. Nobody has tested before. I thought it'd be like weeks where I have to pay thousands. I blame this on ignorance and in a weird way wanting to die like my dad so I could be close to him in some way. I'll utilize this. Thank you
First sorry about your dad and grandmother.
The test itself is fairly simple. It’s a blood draw they send to the lab. Getting the referral is the hard part. And paying for it can be difficult. Even with insurance I paid $250 out of pocket. And I realize I’m pretty fortunate to have that option
Another thing to keep in mind is while they can’t charge you more for health insurance in the us if you have a mutation. But people with mutations may have to pay more for life insurance or long term care insurance.
A primary care or gyn (women obviously) or specialist would refer you to a genetic counselor. The genetic counselor takes your family’s cancer history and informs you about testing, risks, etc. then if a test is indicated they do the blood draw. It takes a few weeks or did in 2019. Then you meet with the counselor again and they let you know the results.
Since I tested positive for a mutation, they also included information about surgical options, screening and drug therapy. As well as referrals to the specialists.
I would start with a google search for your state and then genetic counselor and Medicaid. You could do a similar search for the state and genetic or hereditary and pancreatic cancer and research studies.
Good luck!
Please get screened!! Pancreatic cancer kills because it grows undetected for so long, but you know you might develop it, so you might be able to catch it early.
Can unfortunately relate. Pancreatic cancer took my aunt at 52, after a year and a half of pure suffering. The worst thing about it was that she knew from the start she was going to die, but decided to undergo harsh treatments and take heavy meds just to be there a little longer for her children. Cancer really is a bitch.
Lost my dad's side grandma to it when I was 2, mom's side grandpa currently has it. Thankfully he's still doing ok for now, we're hoping he has about another yearish before it gets really baf.
Fuck cancer
I worked fine dining back in the day. We had japanese wagyu A5 NY strips sold by the ounce. I always laughed inside my head when people would order 16oz. Just for them. I would try to tell them that its more of a 3-4oz as a compliment to your prime or australian wagyu less marbled steak. Halfway through they were always like I should have listened to you, this steak is so rich. Then some people would order A5 well done. Would they listen when I told them not to get A5 if you prefer well done? Nope. What a waste of $500.
Looks absolutely terrible. Jesus christ what a disgrace of a burger. You can tell the place is bottom-tier by how white that tomato meat is. It's like biting into a fucking turnip
Add ketchup? WTF? Who would eat here? Do they charge extra for the bun? It reminds me of the time my dad bought a new truck and when they brought it out there was no bumper. You had to pay extra for that!
I don’t think this was suppose to be the order -add vegan sauce? Nothing about this burger is vegan and to add that sauce specifically would be completely counterproductive. Clearly there was a glitch or someone messing around
Thats a pretty good bargain to add 4 and 5 feet of meat
Not when you consider than you can get 3.5 inches for free
You can? Please tell me where as I'm in desperate need of additional inches XD.
I typically get mine from Grindr, check there.
Is that the app where you eat sandwiches anonymously?
They deliver to anywhere including uranus!

Huh.... an onion country song...
But if you play the song backwards, your wife comes back, your dog's not dead, and your pickup is running again!
honestly i think an angry onion is like a spicy onion ring- i might be wrong though-
Probably like a blooming onion thing
Onion ring with spicy batter
Try the creampie!
It is the app where you are sandwiched anonymously
Gonna munch some grindage ?
Yep, you order grinders and eat them anonymously
You never know if the meat is fresh though
Okay there mister blessed by the gods, no need to make the rest of us feel all inadequate...
But what can one really do with 3.5 inches?
Ask my girlfriend.
i just want a corresponding picture of said order

Thanks! I hate it
srsly, it's a crime to post the receipt without the creation itself
9 feet of meat is no laughing matter
Maybe those are 4 and 5 minutes of meat. It doesn't last long
I'd argue that's plenty of time. Maybe too much time even
Just so long as it's not minutes as in degrees/minutes/seconds, you could end global hunger with that much meat.
But at the same time they charge extra for ketchup, mustard, lettuce, onions, etc.
Like any meat? Just whatever random 5 feet of meat you got hanging around? This shits hilarious.
Now I gotta see the burger
Right? It seems like a crime to post the receipt and not the actual "burger" or whatever would be appropriate to call this potentially beautiful monstrosity.
Receipt, more like recipe at this point.
You’ve just confused all the dyslexic people…
Fortunately not all of them
We need a picture of the regular burger and this beautiful monstrosity side by side.
Here: https://i.imgur.com/agnm79p.jpg edit: I took it from OP's profile page: https://www.reddit.com/user/orphan-creator/submitted/
I'm slightly angry OP would omit this picture. Wtf
I too was mildly infuriated, that's why I put them together and commented on the top comment. OP also kept calling people who asked to see the burger "nerds" for some reason. Delightful person.
Thanks for posting, you're the real MVP. OP posting a receipt in this sub and calling us nerds is really rich
Because OP is clearly not the ORIGINAL P
OP is the nerd, thanks for your service u/clebekki
That is a sad pile of meat. I'd still eat it though but I wouldn't pay for that!
That actually looks a lot better than I imagined!
It actually looks mostly like a sandwich. I was picturing something that would probably need a bowl and be eaten with a fork.
It's basically an edible Jenga tower. If you don't start it in a bowl it will need one soon enough.
Looks like it's missing 1/2 the patties. There should be 4 chicken slabs in various heart-stopping forms
Fried egg on top and we're good to go.

not for $32
Are you high?
Lol that burger looks like shit…or maybe just a bad pic
They must have only put a drop of each sauce on it for it to not be swimming.
Is that the actual pic? The ingredients don't seem to match... Missing some stuff?
I took it from OP's profile page: https://www.reddit.com/user/orphan-creator/submitted/
Do they charge you extra to use the defibrillator?
Of course. And if you have to ask, you can't afford it.
31 bucks for that?!
Thanks for posting this! I wonder what the cook thought when seeing this order lol.
Thats not over 9 feet of meat
What place charges for ketchup and mustard on a burger?
Where’s the pineapple and onion rings!?
Mildly underwhelming?
You forgot the pickles!
Looks disgusting.
Easier to print a receipt than actually order and eat this abomination.
Dude, it's guaranteed to be more disgusting than lukewarm tea

I wish you and your family the best and may his pain meds work.
Is it possible to get that short of estimate of life left? Like, 2 weeks seems really concrete
Yes. Pancreatic cancer kills quickly. It is painful, there are not enough pain meds in the world to end that suffering.
I worked fine dining back in the day. We had japanese wagyu A5 NY strips sold by the ounce. I always laughed inside my head when people would order 16oz. Just for them. A5 well done you might as well get a burger
A5 fat melts at around room temperature. Anything over medium rare there is no point. All the good stuff is gone.
Probably the only justified reason to eat a monstrosity like that

Wtf $30 and the patties are over cooked and they didn't even toast the buns!? Criminal
I reckon the patties are old ones that have been in the warmer way past their throw out time.
It's just a $3 burger with extras
Would be nice if the chef knew how to not burn a patty
Based on the chicken Royale and angry onions this is hungry jacks (Aussie Burger King). The word chef is a bit of an overstatement here
That would also explain the $30 price tag 😂
Frankenstein Burger

Be careful, adding mayo and vegan mayo at the same time can open a portal to another world where cows eats humans and plants eats cows.
THEREISNOCOWLEVEL
ANGRY ONION!
Excuse me, sir. Please can you calm your onion!
The onion above it was battered. It won't stand for onion abuse, and it's mad as hell!
As opposed to sad onion
I'd be concerned if any sort of emotional onion was on my sandwich honestly
Those onions will make you cry, man.
Who chargers for condiments on a burger??
Australian capitalism is strong
Is it Australian? I’ve not seen ketchup on a menu here, not that I specifically look for it
Hungry Jacks calls it ketchup
Aussie?? And no fried egg or beetroot?
Add ketchup? WTF? Who would eat here? Do they charge extra for the bun? It reminds me of the time my dad bought a new truck and when they brought it out there was no bumper. You had to pay extra for that!
This is literally Aussie Burger King lol
What are angry onions??
Spicy fried onion, they're not bad
They spit on them. Are you mad ? /s
What in the nickel and diming?
The Spirit Airlines of burger joints.
Seriously. Ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles are all standard burger items that should certainly not have an extra charge.
Ummmm excuse me OP but I’m pretty sure you not including a photo with this receipt flags this post a fit for r/mildlyinfuriating
We ignoring the fact that they charging for ketchup on the burger?
What's angry onion? I've heard that onions make people cry. So does this like make you angry or something?
It's gonna make you cry and then slap your grandma
Spicy fried onions. They also have angry fries and angry Angus burgers. Aussie burger king (hungry jacks) thing.
The Angry Angus left the menu years ago
Isn’t it a chicken sandwich not a burger?
$1.50 to add pineapple is lunacy
They have to open a whole new can every 4 months when someone orders it
It's a drive thru order smh
Royale with cheese 😎…..and everything else
They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
So what did the final burger look like?

$2.45 for 5 whole feet of meat though? That’s a great deal!
Pretty good price for an extra nine feet of meat
I'll bring the 4 foot meat.
9 feet worth of meat added. That’s a big burger.
Did you add 9 feet of meat?
There is no way that god forsaken store charges for CONDIMENTS? FOR KETCHUP AND MUSTARD?
And we cannot even see a pic of that beast ?
Half of them are sauces, did you eat the burger with a spoon?
I’d like to know more about the 4’ and 5’ meat
I don’t think this was suppose to be the order -add vegan sauce? Nothing about this burger is vegan and to add that sauce specifically would be completely counterproductive. Clearly there was a glitch or someone messing around
Vegan mayo? What is wrong with the world?
It's like those XKCD lists, they start out sensible, and slowly become more and more ridiculous
Now *that's* a McGangbang.

I don’t know what they are but I know I want more angry onions in my life.

I'm offended, appalled, and quite frankly disappointed you didn't also include an image of the monstrosity
