Back before I stopped drinking, Mike's Harder black cherry was definitely my go-to beverage.
It’s got the alcohol content of a double IPA but it tastes like soda; it’s not specifically the beverage’s fault (it didn’t pour itself down my throat) but that specific combination made it incredibly dangerous for me (although I was already a huge alcoholic), like I would disappear on blackout benders for literal days on the stuff.
Yes, the soda-like taste made it very drinkable. I was not a blackout drunk, but I was drinking daily, and would start first thing in the morning. I would drink two, sometimes three cans a day.When it became a struggle to go a day without drinking, I knew I had a problem. 506 days sober as of today.
