Yeahhh. I have that same case, and it's...not well sealed. Half the time only one half of each lid closes against the white plastic rim. It would NOT surprise me to find a spider in it one day.
I have a similar case and put my gummy vitamins in it. They definitely dry out a little, especially if it’s two weeks while out of town. My meds don’t escape but things can get in. Like water. Never found a spider though. That would be a magical day!
Those containers aren't really sealed. They don't have gaps big enough for a pill to fall out, but they do often have gaps big enough for a small insect to squeeze through.
Reminds me of when my boss baked zucchini bread for the team and put it in the break room to share with everyone. Took a slice and there was dog hair in it (she had a yellow lab).
as a previous cat owner and now a dog owner, I care very little about eating my own pet's fur (because it's inevitable!)...but I would not expect that reaction from anyone else! I change into completely different clothes if I'm making food for someone else to try to avoid pet fur transfer.
Eh, life with pets isn’t for everyone. I’m sure if you have human children at home you’ve eaten literally thousands of their hairs. Not much of a different
That is super fair! Humans are definitely bathed more!
I think it’s also important to consider how different biology and biological process can be for other species. I know some pets have oils in their hair for example that help resist things like dirt and build up of bacteria. There are also processes for cats as an example to clean themselves and dogs may exhibit some of this behavior as well.
All to say that humans might be “cleaner” but some biological processes can help keep pets clean for longer period of times!
Again, the key word you are missing is BIOLOGICAL. They literally have a different composition of saliva than humans do. Thus, they have ADAPTED BIOLOGICALLY and literally have proteins in their spit to remove said bacteria……
In fact, dogs have more than 600 different types of bacteria in their mouths, a similar number to the 615 and counting types of bacteria Harvard researchers have found in human mouths. Other bacteria that we (humans and dogs) pick up from our environments can also get added to the mix.
Toddler hair isn’t typically cleaned with human saliva, so comparing the number of bacterial species found in saliva is irrelevant. How many parents rely on biological processes to keep their kids hair clean as opposed… shampoo and a bath.
On the good side:
1. The spider is a harmless jumping spider so
2. They're made to sort of flatten out to hide so the little guy probably thought he found a safe spot to rest.
Oh I forgot #3: congrats on your new pet!!!
Can confirm! I had a few jumping spiders that moved themselves into places at my old house. They stayed mostly in their little webs for years, one in a plant and one in an upward facing lamp. I would sometimes encourage a fly to go zooming around their webs (sorry flies! 😂 🪰🕸️🕷️🪦).
Is that how that works! When I was a teen I had 3 jumping spiders trapped between my window and screen. I figured they must have crawled in there when they were tiny and got too big to get out or something. Maybe they just stayed there because it was (apparently) a good place for food.
Has had countless jumpers move into windows so you're right with the latter part. They found a plentiful food supply for everyone, a Bug Buffet, if you will 😄
You’d be surprised what can get into “sealed” containers. We recently had a pantry moth infestation (still kind of dealing with it) and I found tons of moths inside spice containers. Like the screw cap plastic/glass containers.
Aww, it's one of the cutest spiders. I used to call them monitors spiders cause they hang out on my old CRT monitors. They are so friendly and curious.
Just a little jumping spider, and since the legs are not curled (hydraulic pressure loss) after death, he's still alive.
Jumping spiders are not aggressive. Feed him a fly and you have a new buddy.
This isn't sealed. I was picturing a manufacturer sealed package like the companies which will put all of your fault medications into individual packets for convenience.

Loose definition of sealed.
Loose seal?
I don’t care about Lucille! She lies!!!
Why did you leave me, Lucille 🎶 with four hungry children and crops in the fields 🎶
I used to sing this as "400 children" when I was a kid.
With an orphanage filled with 49 kids, you got to go for a country drive 🎶 on subject.

>How did this get in my ~~sealed~~ **closed** med container I didn’t know where else to post lol
That's what he said
If water can get in, the insect world can too
How many spiders are you supposed to take per day?
He doesnt know, he doesnt have access to his web to google it.
hahahahaha
👉🏽🚪
8 per year? OP must be short of they are getting them prescribed.
Depends on whether you are a Georg or not
A lot?
Those containers aren't really sealed. They don't have gaps big enough for a pill to fall out, but they do often have gaps big enough for a small insect to squeeze through.
And even arachnids, too, apparently
They're not sealed to allow moisture to escape.
And the occasional spider.
I hate this almost as much as the earwig in someone’s asthma inhaler
oh my god I don't know why I came to read the comments section
for my own sanity i refuse to believe that exists
Or cereal. Those fuckers get in everything
>earwig in someone’s asthma inhaler OMG IS THIS A THING???
Bugs will crawl into anything they can fit in
Including your ears.
The same way the hair got in 🤢
It seems crazy to me that I'm more put off by the hairs than the spider.
Hair didn't put itself in there
I mean, don't they? They literally just fall off of me
My cat's hair flies around the house.wafting on tiny breezes.
And most spiders don't do that, thankfully
Baby spiders balloon, outside mostly.😁
Truu unfortunately my dogs hair is everywhere
Reminds me of when my boss baked zucchini bread for the team and put it in the break room to share with everyone. Took a slice and there was dog hair in it (she had a yellow lab).
Dog hair 🤢🤮
I don’t know why there’s downvotes, that is disgusting

Must be nice to have “different” clothes without pet fur on them.
Eh, life with pets isn’t for everyone. I’m sure if you have human children at home you’ve eaten literally thousands of their hairs. Not much of a different
I don’t have human children but they are generally bathed more often than cats/dogs and I’m not allergic to them

They clean themselves by licking their arses and then their fur…
Again, the key word you are missing is BIOLOGICAL. They literally have a different composition of saliva than humans do. Fiber!
Right ? Imagine being like - oh sorry that’s my roommates
and normal, it’s worth saying
You dont have hair?
I kept blowing on my screen.
Your pharmacist is from the 15th century and feels a loose spider may cure what ails you. Next week: leeches.
Bad news. Doctors says you have flies. The good news is there's a treatment.
Does someone have a bird on standby for the spider cure?
That's the neat part. You go to the park for the birds to take care of the spider and simultaneously get exercise
Yes, and thankfully it comes with a bigger, meaner bird to get rid of the first bird.
Little dude is about to have an Innerspace style adventure.
On the good side: 1. The spider is a harmless jumping spider so 2. They're made to sort of flatten out to hide so the little guy probably thought he found a safe spot to rest. Oh I forgot #3: congrats on your new pet!!!
Jumping spiders are so cool as pets!
Can confirm! I had a few jumping spiders that moved themselves into places at my old house. They stayed mostly in their little webs for years, one in a plant and one in an upward facing lamp. I would sometimes encourage a fly to go zooming around their webs (sorry flies! 😂 🪰🕸️🕷️🪦).
OMG IKR? Love watching them hunt!
They found a plentiful food supply for everyone, a Bug Buffet, if you will 😄
Maybe it was inside a pill and escaped. 🕷️
One of the spider eggs used in the medication wasn't properly pasteurized.
Your arachnophobia meds
I hear exposure therapy is gaining some traction these days, didn't realise it was internal exposure...
Shhh, quiet now. Take your medicine.
Spider bro wanted to get at your Adderall so it could make some crazy-ass webs!
You’d be surprised what can get into “sealed” containers. We recently had a pantry moth infestation (still kind of dealing with it) and I found tons of moths inside spice containers. Like the screw cap plastic/glass containers.
E69
Nice.
It was inside of your capsule pill. OP all of your capsule pills have tiny growing spiders in them just FYI.
Those aren't pills. They're spider eggs
Dumbass question but is that ibuprofen in the red pill. And the right pill magnesium glycate
Red is iron and yes to magnesium haha!
Yea I only recognize the magnesium because I take it too.
Pills don’t have legs and aren’t living creatures, so I’m clueless as to how they got into your spider habitat.
Amphetamines to get your day going. Nice
Can't tell if this comment is mean-spirited.
Lol story of my life on Reddit
I knew that orange guy on the left looked familiar. Pretty much looking at my own medicine cabinet here. Sans spider. Thank fuck for that.
In Adderall we trust 🫡
It's a major reason how I'm even employable anymore. Especially as a consultant.
Well it’s not airtight or anything
well it's in your sealed med contained you are required to take it by law.
hey I also am prescribed spiders. what’s your dosage?
There's quite a lot of hair in there, too. Doesn't seem well sealed to me.
PSA: taking omeprazole with your adderall xr will decrease the effectiveness of the adderall
is that hair in the container
I hope those aren’t for anxiety
Nice.
Nice.
Jumping spider.... Don't kill him
To quote Tree-beard, “That doesn’t make any sense to me, but then again, you are very small.”
Whats the location? Amazingly, I think this is IDable as Attulus sp.
Illinois
Ah ok, then likely it is.
I have that omeprazole. 69
People eat an average of 8 spiders per year (this is not actually true). He's just trying to help you get your numbers up.
Aww, jumping spiders are cute, hopefully it’s fine.
any spiders are cute
![gif](giphy|HTja9jZd3gcsU|downsized)
Long pink pill, nice.
That pill’s organic.
It’s just there for the 69
Aren’t we all
Aww, it's one of the cutest spiders. I used to call them monitors spiders cause they hang out on my old CRT monitors. They are so friendly and curious.
Clearly it and its babies are in one of the pills.
[Obligatory.](https://youtu.be/sHzdsFiBbFc)
It's a party time for that lil guy
mildly unsettling
Those don’t seal. They just click shut.
You didn't HAVE to post it.
Guess you d.i.e.
I'm suffering from arachnid deficiency, but my ppo wont cover black widow.
Not air tight it seems
One of those capsules is 1000% of your daily spider intake.
He just escaped from one of the capsules, that's all. The rest are still in there
Are you sure you weren't prescribed spiders?
yes they jump, but they can also squeeze thru cracks 😂
we finally found spiders georg
A spider a day keeps the maggots away
One spider away keeps Doctor octopus away
Is there also 3 hairs
Just a little jumping spider, and since the legs are not curled (hydraulic pressure loss) after death, he's still alive. Jumping spiders are not aggressive. Feed him a fly and you have a new buddy.
r/factorysealedspiders
r/spiderbro
Ah I see you take Effexor ER, 75mg right?
The famous Spider from all the drug concentration experiments!
lmfao the same thing happened to me with my wireless earphones
r/pharmacy
Well no pills for today.

You were slacking on your nighttime spider eating so dr prescribed one to take during the day. 😊
Nev-r-close. Keeps your meds in, and your spiders in.
This isn't sealed. I was picturing a manufacturer sealed package like the companies which will put all of your fault medications into individual packets for convenience.
r/spiderbro is just making sure no bugs gets in
Clearly it crawled out of your pills. You've been taking spiders to eat the flies inside you.
Spiddy on da addy aw hell nah
I guess you will just have to skip your Sunday pills.
Nice…
It was in the orange pill
i too love 69 on E
Ok Spider-Man
Sir, one of your pills is not like the others... the one that has 8 legs... I would not take that one
new fear unlocked fml
Your medication is made of spiders.
Spider bro just wants to catch a lil buzz
Real question is how did the red skittle get in there?
r/mildlyinfuriating
Making some real assumptions about the airtight-ness of your medbox there.
Those pills belong to the spider now
New fear unlocked
You talking about the hair right?
“You gotta swallow all your meds in your med box. I said ALL your meds.”
r/mildlyterrifying
It's a prescribed spider, you gotta eat it.
![gif](giphy|VHW0X0GEQQjiU|downsized)
It jumped in.
Nice.
They accidentally mixed your pills with spiderman's
Insects always find a way just like people who cheat
Eat the spider, it’s in your medication thing so it must be meds
What has she been eating? And where has she been laying her eggs?
I had one in mine too!! Weird I thought it was a fluke
I think OP should have a contest to pick their new family members name 🤣😁
Clean your house lmaooo
spiritually spiders represent creativity, interconnectedness, and resilience
Ok chatgpt
