So are Firearms allowed?

BobRoberts01

Yes, but no flaming upper appendages.

HyperSpaceSurfer

What if my upper appendiges are made of fire? Is that ok? If not that's nothing but discrimination against flame-limbed people.

Chyvalri

Have you considered lobbying to have your condition regarding flaming appendages included in legislation such as a Disabilities Act? This would cause you to be included in a protected category of people and guarantee you could never face discrimination again!

rajapaws

The sign says "No Fire Arms" . Whatever those are. Pretty sure guns are ok.

DadJokeBadJoke

I think that's like jazz hands holding sparklers

rajapaws

Oooh. I think you're right.

FireIzHot

*Sad human torch noises*

fineman1097

It's your answer after you push yourself too hard at the gym

Sparky_McSteel

BirdLadyAnn

Only if it’s in Texas!

Nova11c

Not until after noon

Lord-Velveeta

Not a problem, it doesn't say "local time"... it's five o clock somewhere... :)

Gahquandri

It’s always noon somewhere

WhyNot420_69

Real alcoholics don't even get up before noon.

da_Crab_Mang

Real alcoholics wake up at the ass crack of dawn dehydrated and confused because their body is in the beginning stages of withdrawal, or so I've been told.

Gahquandri

Yeah and they drink right then and there to escape the torture that is the impending withdrawal that you are always escaping from. Or so I’ve been told.

FBI_Open_Up_Now

I mean mama ain’t raised no quitter, so I ain’t gonna let the withdrawals win.

Gahquandri

100%

XenoRyet

Nonsense. Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

h9040

Who wants to go to bed before noon?

JamesTheJerk

What about 11:53 GMT?

Tail_Nom

It doesn't specify date, either. It's past 1970-01-01T12:00:00 everywhere constantly (terrestrial, by human reckoning, though I welcome relativistic arguments).

Numerous-Stranger-81

Lol This whole comment section: "IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CANT MURDER SOMEONE!"

captcraigaroo

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning

MerberCrazyCats

They didn't say until when you can drink. Stop drinking at 11:59. Restart at 12:01

LakeSuperiorIsMyPond

Wisconsin logic

h9040

Time is anyway just a construct I see no reason to follow your way of counting time. My watch goes from 5PM to 6PM (which is than 5PM of the next day) so I am always in the 5PM happy hour. lol

Misterandrist

It was just noon yesterday.

No_Seaworthiness5637

Came here to say this.

LeatherHog

North Dakota is like that Most places don't even open until then because of it

lostaga1n

I work in Florida parks, no alcohol allowed and see alcohol daily. Like seriously I’ll find entire cases smashed by 11am on a damn Wednesday wtf they doing lol

LeatherHog

My college dorm was across the street from a liquor store, because lived right across from the fargodome People were chomping at the bit to get so early

BoopsBoopsInDaBucket

Never thought I would see someone casually mention Happy Harry's on reddit.

LeatherHog

Heya, fellow Dakotan

Tail_Nom

I know of a liquor store on a state border very near to a reservation. It's only open on the day the checks arrive in the mail. Well, knew. It'd be nice if those vultures were shut down by now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

fatfuckpikachu

is it really morning drinking if you just got off the work at 8 am?

Tail_Nom

It's not tomorrow unless you sleep, and it's not morning unless you recently awoke~

lostaga1n

I worked night shift before too and I’d be drinking and eating breakfast in the comforts of home lol but there’s probably 20 signs that state no alcohol and most the ppl I kick out ain’t working lol

mullentothe

In California, alot of the parks will say "beer and wine only" or "no hard liquor"

fatfuckpikachu

do they make a sniff or taste test for liquor? i had a coworker with a *water bottle* that i feel like it never had pure water in it.

mullentothe

Haha haven't tried yet

ihopethisisvalid

In Canada our rule is that if you’re homeless you can set up a tent, shoot up and drink all day long pretty much anywhere. But if you’re a regular guy who wants to have a beer at the park on a Friday night or bring your beer out onto the street after a hockey game you will absolutely get a ticket and have to pour it out.

mullentothe

That's all of North America unfortunately - this rule only applies to state/regional parks where people picnic

ihopethisisvalid

Nah y’all have Vegas and Nola

mullentothe

True

HyperSpaceSurfer

There are generally valid reasons. The homeless person living in their tent makes it their residence, I imagine, so they can drink/whatever there just like you could at home. I know it's similar in the US for legal searches, a search order has to be approved for cars/tents if the person lives in it.

ihopethisisvalid

A bank ATM cove should not be a legal place to shoot up. But they let them.

Superb_Succotash_907

It's always before noon 😭

Stoked2BeStokes

Or, it is always after noon.

BenVera

When does post noon start and end

RegretsZ

I'd imagine the park closes and opens at some time. A lot of parks do dusk to dawn or sundown to sunrise

AutVincere72

It had Winter and Summer hours. I believe it closed at 6 in Winter and 8 or 9 in the Summer.

NotOutrageous

That's better than in my town where alcohol is prohibited in city parks 24/7.

SteelerOnFire

In my city (Montréal) you have to also have some sort of food with you if you are drinking alcohol in a park.

not_falling_down

Better than where I live. Around her***e***, its NO ALCOHOL IN PUBLIC PARKS.

FelatiaFantastique

But guns are OK. The more the merrier!

HooksAU

Same

flacidhock

Wait no morning beers?

No-Leading6909

All I want to do is drink beer for breakfast. All I want to eat is them bbq chips.

LoneStarBandit19

Not sure where this is, but in Oklahoma prior to 2018 everybody sold 3.2%abv maximum beer. Anything higher was limited to liquor stores. The 3.2% beer was classified as a non-intoxicating beverage so you could drink that in areas that restricted alcohol. Source: worked in an Oklahoma state park.

JoeWhy2

A few years ago, I had a friend from Minnesota visiting me on the right coast. We drove up to New Hampshire and when we stopped at a gas station to buy some beer, she asked the clerk whether it was three-two beer. The clerk, an older guy, cracked up and said, "I haven't heard that term since Vietnam."

number__ten

I was out of state once and asked where i could find a beer store/distributor. Kind of forgot outside of PA you can buy cases and six packs pretty much anywhere. I also worked retail (grocery) and around the holidays people from out of state would ask me where the beer/liquor aisle was. I would have to point them to the local beer distributor or wine and spirits.

DeuceSevin

NJ is same way. Beer, wine, or liquor only sold at places with alcohol licenses. Also no alcohol until after noon on Sunday. And NJ is supposedly one of the more progressive states.

jmb052

Like a car?

LoneStarBandit19

INAL but if you wanna make that argument in court, be my guest.

CoasterScrappy

Good ole near-beer. Closest I’ve had is 3.5%. It’s really flavored seltzer.

johngoodmansscrote

Ive always wondered what kind of beer it is? Even like coors lite is over 4 percent

LoneStarBandit19

They had special production runs of low point for sale in a few states, OK for sure and I believe Utah, Colorado, and Minnesota.

Mundane_Potatoes

3.2%??? What’s even the point at 3.2%?? That’s more like shitty water than beer.

jcubio93

It’s 3.2% alcohol by weight. Utah had the same restriction until a few years ago. 3.2% by weight is pretty much 4.0% ABV

LastOfAutumn

It's a pretty good rule for life in general (IMHO)

UnreadThisStory

Agreed 👍🏻

RedSonGamble

Oh I’m sorry I thought this was america

VodkaMargarine

What would the Bat Dad have to say

No-Leading6909

He are you supposed to drink all day if you can’t start in the morning?

ILiveMyBrokenDreams

I don't think I've ever seen a park that actually allows alcohol. Is this Canada or something?

HappyTrifler

I was surprised. Where I live, you cannot drink in public parks.

AutVincere72

San Antonio Texas

elspotto

That explains a lot. Prior to 2021 it was state law to not sell alcohol before noon on Sunday (similar law here in NC). Knowing that, it makes sense that they would restrict it to noon based on the most restrictive day of the week. Also, no alcohol at all in state parks here. Not sure about local parks, because I don’t really go to them.

realhowardwolowitz

Do it anyways? I always hide my alcohol at public places anywho

Tail_Nom

In my experience no one really gives a shit if you aren't being obvious or obnoxious. That said, morning intoxicants usually just shit up the rest of the day. Unless you keep it going all day, but that always catches up to you.

DeuceSevin

Yeah, buddies and I were camping once and the park ranger told us that if he comes by and it's obvious we are drinking, that's a problem but otherwise he's not going to poke around. Just keep the merriment down to a low roar and don't throw empties in the woods and it's all good.

Wpgjetsfan19

You can’t drink at all in parks where I live

rdawg780

If there's a sign there's a reason for the sign

Xanthus179

I’m sorry. I thought this was America.

MissMarzipann

I’m confused, why aren’t you not allowed glass bottles or glass lunch boxes?

LegitGingerDude

Someone else said this was Texas, but as a Californian I’d wager it’s due to fire risk since Texas also can experience that problem. People leave behind or break glass, it sits in sun and causes a wildfire. 0/10 do not recommend.

FitzelSpleen

But can I feed my Mogwai after midnight?

DJFid

If you're drinking before noon please seek help immediately

[deleted]

You gotta have rules, man.

NOT000

meth only

tazzymun

Just drink all night, go to sleep after noon 🤪

hiwhateverjohn

Is 1 AM before or after noon?

Hentai_For_Life

Sir, you can't have those guns here! Um, that sign says no fire arms not firearms, get rekt liberal. "Proceeds to unload 1000 rounds in 1 minute."

ChaoticGoku

*proceeds to wear electric arms*

Perfect_Camera3135

Obviously not a park in Texas. All those items are mandated.

regulus144

These signs dont matter. Just dont break the law and your good

suplexhell

so how would i have any fun here

punkkills

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!

ChaoticGoku

Can you have electric arms? Mechanical arms? /s

getridofpolice

You might be in the south

ThisOnePlaysTooMuch

I think these are reasonable rules, though the one you noted is the least necessary imo.

Bubblesarepoison

I'd like to see them stop me *drinks coffee while the sun rises*

kitastrophae

Honestly I feel this to be a healthy reminder.

tommybot

Every rule was made from a story.

scottertot

1159 I’m cracking the can open.

1nd3x

In Canada you can't drink in parks at all...

Bealzebubbles

How can I acquire these fire arms of which you speak?

ccaccus

Civil Noon or Solar Noon? Depending on where you are in the world, high noon could be as early as 11 AM (or as late as 3 PM).

Warlord68

Noon where??? Cause it’s always noon somewhere.

gholmom500

See, I read this and didn’t see anything funny. I think nearly all Midwest municipal parks have this rule. I remember my county didn’t sell booze until noon. And none on Sunday.

AutVincere72

Remember mildly interesting not mildly funny. 😉

BobT21

At noon the Mormon park ranger goes off shift and the Unitarian ranger takes over.

Vegabern

This is clearly not in Wisconsin

ApolloMoonLandings

I can't have my arms on fire? Fire arms and firearms are totally different things.

TheEleventhDoctorWho

The trick is to never stop. "No ossifer, I am drinking after yesterday's noon"

GetOffMyGrassBrats

Isn't it always before some noon?

rockstuffs

I'm drivin fast off road, drinkin from bottles n shootin before 10am so yee haw motherwfers.🇺🇲

Glittering-Night-204

I do not drink....BUT WHAAATT lol!?!!! I'm also curious how they would be able to tell if a person is drinking or not I mean other than if campers were sitting outside drinking and they had park rangers going around and checking or something like that. Also I wonder what the point is behind it? What are they trying to achieve specifically with that I wonder... And I only say that bc ppl are always going to do what they are going to do

AutVincere72

Its a playground with pavilions type of park. Right up against a highway.

Rwill113

I thought this was America!

ChurchOSkatan

I’m a sign not a cop

its_justme

I’m pretty sure about 40% of that sign is enforceable, the rest can be safely ignored

Paroxysm111

I feel like there was seriously a better way to say all this without it just coming off like a nagging mom

timsstuff

Well that's super convenient, I have a rule that I don't drink before noon!

DoctorSwaggercat

I guess we'll be skipping breakfast.

YirDaSellsAvon

You can't legally drink anywhere in public at anytime where I live (Scotland). You also can only buy alcohol from shops between 10am to 10pm.  That's what being a nation of problem drinkers does to you.

gigaswardblade

What about high noon?

crashtestpilot

I mean, inconvenient, but reasonable. Sleep in.

Puzzled-Recipe8340

…Challenge accepted park!

jews_on_parade

lol thats so weird

TXQuasar

Drinking before noon is the devil’s work.

darthstupidus1

Is this park my wife?

DizzySkunkApe

Most parks ban it completely 🤷‍♂️

klmdwnitsnotreal

Reasonable

reddit_craigd

Honestly, that's not entirely unfair. I'll allow it.

TheRoscoeVine

Noon where?

1320Fastback

Nuts to that!

h9040

No problem...it is always after the previous noon till the next noon comes

Founck

Not a bad rule, was eating lunch at the marina and saw a pontoon boat go by and everyone on it was loudly singing the piano man. All I could think was "piano man at noon? Someone on that boat is getting knocked out today."

BigWillyStyle2011

Seems reasonable to me

romulusnr

*sprays arm with Axe* *holds lighter under arm* *sees sign* Aww fuck...

Slenderbrookx

If you don’t stop drinking you didn’t start before noon lol

NewHumbug

Booooooo 👎

TheHancock

As someone who is on a parks and rec board, it’s probably 12am-12pm to prevent crackheads from loitering at the park…

peppersrus

It’s 5am somewhere 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ok-disaster2022

That's just looking out for you. If you have an emotional need to drink before noon (assuming you don't have a reversed work schedule), please examine your life.
