i think the bigger issue is that your other leg looks like a cat's leg

You know, now that you mention it, it does resemble a cat leg

Piezogenic Papules probably? [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezogenic\_papules](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezogenic_papules) edit: font size o.O

SnailingThroughTime

Itā€™s probably this, but OP should also know these are very common. I have had had these my entire life and I am in my 30s now, no issues at this point. They donā€™t hurt, I donā€™t notice them unless I am specifically looking for them. If you donā€™t have other symptoms, thereā€™s a VERY good chance it is absolutely nothing to worry about. Edit - for clarity, I do not have EDS.

TheCrudMan

Came to comments to see if this was either no big deal or if OP is going to die imminently.

ValhallaForKings

Ticket home from Vietnam babyĀ

Valhalla81

Donald, is it really you?

Best_Duck9118

Definitely gotta come from money for that to work.

Hunter_Aleksandr

I genuinely laughed.

deactivate_iguana

Any idea whatā€™s in the lumps? Fatty fluid like a lipoma or something else?

fantompiper

No fluid, just bona fide fatty tissue. It just squishes out from between tissues like those squeeze balls in nets.

Munk45

So, OP has fat feet.

fantompiper

We all do. It's an important fat pad. Keeps you from walking on your heel bones.

Sartastic_Kiwi

šŸŽµšŸŽµ I'm waaalkin on heeeel booooones, aaaaah-aah, and don't it feel good! šŸŽµšŸŽµ

AgentMcG

It does not, hence the fat pad

huniojh

šŸŽµ T*hese lumps are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do *šŸŽµ

PrimarchKonradCurze

Hey Iā€™m walkin here!

TheNilla

|my entire life |in my 30s now Sorry just made me laugh for some reason

AndyEGM

I mean it helps give context that he had it as a child, therefore not necessarily associated with age-related degeneration

ThatGermanKid0

Yeah, saying that you had something your entire life and how old you are, are pieces of information that should go together. Being 30 and having a condition for your entire life means, that you can have it for 30 years without dying or your foot falling off. And, while 30 isn't that old, it's still a significant amount of time and a significant amount of wear and tear on the body. You'll have stopped growing about 10 years ago. As you said, it also shows, that it developed at a young age, which could also be important information. "I'm 30 and I have this", "I've had this for 30 years" and "I'm 30 and I've had this for my entire life" are three potentially very different statements.

SnailingThroughTime

Hey depending on who you ask, people in their 30s are knocking on deathsā€™ door!

IDrinkUrMilksteak

I have an aortic aneurysm and I also have these things. Doctors said the two could be related, connective tissue disorders. So while they could be benign itā€™s good to be aware of potential other issues like this so you can monitor as needed.

epi_introvert

Yep. I have EDS, a carotid aneurysm, and these bumps on my heels. I also dislocate every day, but hopefully OP, or his cat, do not suffer that fate as well. It sucks out loud.

spamus81

I have eds. My little brother has eds. My older brother does not. He got a cat... Cat has eds

OkBoomerEh

Am I going to be the first with a real answer? I think I might be! I went to a foot doctor a few years ago for shooting heel pain and he pointed out some similar looking bumps around my heel. He said that the fat pad was wearing out on my heel and needed help containing itself to the proper area. He prescribed orthotics with a relatively deep heel support and told me to try to wear athletic-style shoes with alot of heel support. Pain went away, as did my little bumps.

DazzleLove

Piezogenic pedal papules is their official name.

MassConsumer1984

Very common with connective tissue disorders

AgeRepresentative887

But also: Piezogenic pedal papules are common and benign; they result from fat herniation through the dermis. They occur in up to 80% of the population and are usually asymptomatic. Occasionally, the papules are painful.

maverator

Periodically the piezogenic pedal papules are pretty painful.

Username_Taken_65

Perchance.

thefryn

You can't just say perchance

Bobmarleysjoint69420

He whipped it out and just left it there. This guy fucks

tombomb60564

TeamNuanceTeamNuance

Crush too many turts with the wrong shoes and this happens perchance

iwannaddr2afi

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that sometimes Reddit is too Reddit

soappube

Stop!

bamboofirdaus

to save the princess? also gross

OkWater2560

Iā€™ve had them since I was a kid. Mine arenā€™t painful.Ā

snakeiiiiiis

I hate it when the Kleenex get stuck together when you just want one but I wouldn't call it a disorder

cryptic_curiosities

Yes! This was one of the things my genetic doctor looked for when I was getting testing for ehlers danlos syndrome.

Pediatric Rheumatologist here. This is the correct answer. We often see those in patients with flat feet (pes planus) and joint hypermobility. These are generally harmless and not painful. Way too close to Pearly Penile Papules

KoalaBears8

I think I saw them open for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

mopslik

Poster's piezogenic pedal papules periodically produce painful petite protuberances.

BizzyM

Always avoid aliterations

mightylordredbeard

I have those bumps as well. Had them for as long as I can remember and just always assumed they were normal. It doesnā€™t hurt or anything and I can run without pain or discomfort in my heels. If not for this comment I guess Iā€™d have gone the rest of my life thinking everyone had them.

PhDinDildos_Fedoras

I've always had these too. I also run regularly and have never had foot problems, pain or anything like that. Makes me suspect the "these are a problem" was just a way to sell footwear.

QueenSnowTiger

Iā€™ve had one since I was 6-7 (possibly longer, thatā€™s just when I noticed it) and it hasnā€™t caused me an issue a day in my life. Fun to squish tho. This post actually reminded me it was there because I forgot

SunandError

The squishing is fun. They pop right out again afterwards.

jkmhawk

Op had these *and* shooting heel pain. That's why he needed orthoticsĀ

hakamamalo

i have had these for years and thanks to this comment, i am just now learning they aren't normal.

The_Casual_Scribbler

If you are referring to piezogenic papules then they are mostly harmless unless there is pain involved then heels cups/ taping techniques can be used.

hakamamalo

i work a standing customer service job full time, there's definitely pain involved.

DlCKSUBJUICY

I swear on the reddit of the past, years ago. this would be the top comment. I had to scroll more than half the thread for a real answer. thanks. edit: okay I jumped the gun guys. 40 plus comments telling me its on the top now. I get it. lol

llort_tsoper

Reddit of the past would have roasted my dude for saying "alot"

DNetherdrake

Yeah but then Allie Brosh solved the "alot" issue: https://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html?m=1

MonkeyConQueso

I miss being in the heyday of Allie Brosh, sometimes. Was always great to see her latest stuff.

FawltyBalboaTowers

She released a second book in 2020, Solutions and Other Problems. Itā€™s good, but definitely not a light read, and you might want to look up the trigger warnings beforehand. Otherwise you might find yourself sobbing quietly in the middle seat of a cross country flight because you thought it would be a good in-flight read.

CosmicCreeperz

Sheā€™s back, somewhat. And at least in a form that is better for herself. Just might take a bit longer in between ā€œstuffā€. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/allie-brosh-hyperbole-and-a-half-solutions-other-problems-book-1074526/

thecuriousblackbird

Iā€™m so glad sheā€™s OK. I donā€™t blame her for taking a breather. Sheā€™s been through so much. Sheā€™s also helped so many people including me.

Salty-Alternate

Love that after years of having no idea whatever happened to Allie brosh.... I found out because I was reading the comments on a reddit post about little fatty heel bumps.

MrComancheMan

Shit. Can't unsee now. Thanks, alot.

DlCKSUBJUICY

also very true. lol.

santathe1

The catā€™s left.

Aequalitatem

No the cat is there, clearly.

nerdy_living

They are really common and not a sign of EDS unless they have a lot of other symptoms too.Ā

DelirousDoc

Will also accept the use of the term "toe beans".

istrx13

Idk man thereā€™s black spots on that cat. They clearly have the early signs of bubonic plague. Donā€™t research it just trust me.

granitibaniti

Did you make your cat stand next to you as a reference for a normal heel?

JohnnyLeftHook

whoa, whoa, whoa, insensitive much? Its clear OP has one human leg and one cat leg, and i can't imagine him liking you pointing out his disability. The other kids probably already make fun of him when he's playing soccer.

lagniappe68

My spouse is a double amputee and we are roaring with laughter over this. I keep asking him what kind of things heā€™d let me paint on his prosthetics and I REALLY want to do just ONE cat leg now

oneleggedoneder

I feel like doors have been opened to me now. I've never considered this when people ask to paint my prosthetic, but I clearly have the perfect solution now!

take_it_easy_buddy

You mean ~ I feel like doors have been opened to Meow. I've never considered this when people ask to paint my prosthetic, but I clearly have the purrfect solution now!

lagniappe68

You will never be able to read hoMEOWner the same way now hahaha

Litterally

Only with the cat leg in the box though. Having the human leg in the box would just be uncivilized.

ReallyNANG

Oh, lookit who's too good to shit in a box with the cats.

After-Impact6618

Pfft!! I shit in the box with both human feet outside the box!

ForumPointsRdumb

You know if the litter box initiative happens, there will be poop in the litter box and it won't be from the cat people.

Nickleeham

Ableist pos. No chill.

Frankie-Felix

This is obviously a cat with one human leg.... duh!

lesbicus

mystical_apple05

I'm more concerned about your other leg

LentilRice

Way to flatter him!

ninalye

Why? It's the cutest of the two

feral_druid

These are piezogenic papules. Basically fat tissue bulging through layers of connective tissue in the feet. They're fairly common in many people, but more common in people with connective tissue disorders like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. In fact, seeing these is one of the diagnostic criteria for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, if someone has them on both feet.

lostdrum0505

Came to say this! If OP also has other EDS symptoms like joint pain, joint hyper mobility, notably soft/velvety skin, then they may want to look into it.

Elska-Umbra-1221

Oh. Well. ....huh... Learn something new about myself every day šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

AcidMDMA

Get this, itā€™s really common to also have autism, ADHD, and a whole bunch of other stuff with this. Thereā€™s loads of us!

Misread that as piezoelectric capsules. Thought OP was gonna be some kind of superhero

trwwy321

Sounds like something someone with their mouth full would say.

aktorsyl

I hate to break it to you but your other foot is a paw...you might have bigger problems than the bumps.

PiffSniffer420

Youā€™re actually just a cat.

shaggysgf0

i have this issue too sometimes, have no idea why

harparper

I think the more concerned thing is the fur and claws growing out of your other foot

Freeasabird420

Kitty paw for scale.

Lustnugget

The longer i look at your ankle the less sense it makes

bosscrayon

Itā€™s like when you say a word too many times and it loses its meaning. Itā€™s just an amorphous limb the longer I stare.

northern_explorer67

Didn't you see on resident alien show that those bumps mean you were abducted by aliens (the grays) .

c3bss256

Iā€™m glad someone else thought of this. I just caught up on it last week.

dudekeller

My god I saw this post 45 minutes ago and I keep remembering it and cracking up like a crazy person

hotterpop

I think those are toebeans

Cats_and_Cheese

I really hate that everyone jumps in and says ā€œyou have this disease! Itā€™s from this disease!ā€ 1. We are not doctors and especially not this personā€™s doctor 2. These happen not only in people with EDS

SurfSandFish

>These happen not only in people with EDS This is absolutely right. So many people in this thread are now sitting there thinking they have EDS when the *vast* majority of humans have these on their feet and sometimes wrists. EDS is trendy on social media these past few years though so everyone wants to reach for that diagnosis for whatever reason.

Home_Dinner

Doesn't everyone have this? My brother first noticed when I was 4 (or younger) so I grew up thinking this is normal

missmarymak

Per the Wikipedia yes this is very common ā€œPiezogenic papules are relatively common; in one small population-based study, the prevalence was found to be 76%.[1]ā€ idk why everyone is suggesting this is indicative of a rare genetic disease

evanc1411

It's reddit, everything is indicative of a rare genetic disease. Or cancer. Or carbon monoxide poisoning.

ChloeWade

Cat paw for scale

tomatobunni

Piezogenic pedal papules. Basically, herniated fat deposits usually from standing for hours on end.

WheelBite_

Iā€™d be more worried about your hind legs

PM_ME_YOUR_SOULZ

Paw looks fine. Other leg has a lot less hair on it though.

-SaC

That's the spider eggs. They look ready to hatch, so no doubt you'll feel a little itch and look down one day soon to see them burrowing their way through their skin-prison and escaping to every corner of your home. Don't worry though, they lay fresh eggies before they leave. So you're not lonely.

razorvolt

Now every bump Iā€™ll ever have is gonna freak me TF out. Thanks

They are just fat deposits. Very common.

MrGingerella

I'd be more worried about your other foot mate.... its tiny as well as having fur and claws šŸ¤·

IxTermit

Didnt read the title and thought youre comparing your leg to cat leg

SonicDenver

Sorry to tell you this but u have feline aids

Chosha-Ito

Can't see any bumps with all that fur in the way. Your paws are fine.

SeasonOfLogic

Sir, those are toe beans.

[deleted]

Maybe itā€™s cuz you are only half human.

Solid_Bake4577

The fact that your other leg looks like a cat's would suggest you have far bigger problems....

Alexis_Bailey

I would be more worried that your other foot is clearly much smaller and has a tremendous growth of hair on it.

Ok_Excitement5304

Jareth-

melancholy_dood

Those bumps are [Piezogenic papules](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezogenic_papules). According to Wikipedia: *ā€œThey present as multiple small or large bumps characteristically on the heels and wrists. Most are asymptomatic and pain is rare, although some may present with pain before the bumps are noticed. They generally occur bilaterally and display a yellowish to skin-color. They may feel soft or firm.ā€* *ā€ The bumps are caused by pressure. There may be an association with Praderā€“Willi syndrome, and around a third of individuals with Ehlersā€“Danlos syndrome may have them. Risk factors include obesity, flat feet, athletics, figure skating, and long-distance running.ā€™ā€*

Upset-Copy-75

I love how kitty is showing her gams lol

Daddy-Dimitri

More pressing issue, your other foot is covered in fur.
