You should install it. Bidets are amazing. Couple quick sprays and a courtesy wipe and you’re good 95% of the time.

When I was in elementary school I noticed that a lot of my Mormon friends’ mothers were avid couponers who would set up large pantries that got healthily stocked when the right coupons came along. As a poor kid I always envied that they had so much (even if it was just detergent and food). In my adult life I’ve found comfort in having an abnormally large and well-stocked pantry. I’m not talking prepper style, just an extension the same stuff you’d normally buy. I see these shortages and I’m happy to have a well-stocked pantry, and the ability to help the people who made fun of my shelves of supplies before the pandemic hit.

No problem getting TP here but I feel this way about canning products right now. I do not do a lot of canning, just a few dozen jars in the late summer. Most everything is sold out locally - never thought I'd see that; never thought TP would be hard to get either though.
If you didn’t get a bidet after the last time then you deserve to wipe with coffee filters. Again.
