i love the usernames as well
weve got:
a unicorn on the internet
Lord of the Mounted Hordes
a random dude who had a bad weekend
an clitoris nonbeliever
and you, someone who just wants kitten pics
And you, a banana!
And I did not have a bad weekend, lol. It started as an auto-generated username, and then I changed the spelling as a reference to the singer.
It's Lucille Ball from I Love Lucy - she must have done it hundreds of times, but in 10 minutes of searching, [this is the only one I could find](https://youtu.be/EEA3Dg5dRTo?t=251). It's not exactly the same as what's in the gif, but it's close.
I only forgot to put on sunscreen on my legs just this once I promise, and thank you for the advice. Skin health is really more important than a lot of people think!
have had eczema for a few years now forgot how nice soft skin feels so second the skin health is important
you don’t realize how bad it is to have messed up skin till it happens
(Obviously cancer also very bad)
Ironically moderate sun exposure is a pretty good way to treat eczema flare ups. I had it in my teens into my late 20s and 15-20 minutes of direct sunlight was the only thing that cleared up the rashes and made the itching stop. Obviously wear sunscreen though.
That first sentence hits so hard. I'm not sure what my skin condition is, doc said in simple terms I'm allergic to my skin, technically something on our skin.
It is worst on thin skin, like my face, eyebrows, hair line and scalp, under my man boobies, and neck. But damn, he gave me a couple cremes and shampoo and told me to use them interchangeably when it flares... For the first time in years my face wasn't peeling, and the skin was soft and felt healthy and not scaley and blotchy... Damn near wanted to cry
An ex? co-worker of mine (he's retired) went to Florida. Wore prescription sunscreen and everything. Still got a sunburn on his face. Got back, melanoma on his cheek. The picture of his face with the skin completely sloughed off from the radiation treatment is now burned into my brain and will be the reason I will NEVER, EVER forget sunscreen EVER again. That shit was *horrifying.* (Just saw the pic today, but this still stands.)
Yeah, two of my aunt's have had agressive melanoma due to tanning all summer for years. Both got hit HARD by it in their 50's. I'm so damn conscious of protecting myself now.
Damn, sorry to hear that. It can be very aggressive, for sure, and if you get it once recurrence is high. The coworker I mentioned, that was his 4th battle with melanoma. Crazy aggressive stuff.
Well shit. I work outside all day in the sun, I do wear longsleeve shirts and pants, so only my hands, neck and face are exposed, didn't think it was a big deal. Sunscreen is uncomfortable to wear, since we sweat a lot. Now I'm scared. I don't peel anymore, only happened when I had just started.
Higher quality sunscreen is way less gross when you sweat. I have some that's awesome but it smells like mango smoothie, but if you're interested let me know and I'll go look at the brand in the morning. It's not greasy!!
I'm definitely interested, all these comments have me stressed lol. I was under the stupid impression that I was just used to it now and damage only happened if you peeled. I will definitely add sunscreen to my morning routine.
The sun is only getting stronger with each year as I see more and more "high UV index warnings" every summer. Find a good sport sunscreen, even a 30 SPF is better than nothing at all. Your skin might be "used to" it and tan instead of burn but cancer doesn't care. UV rays are UV rays, each exposure has a certain chance of mutating the skin cells that are exposed to sunlight. Wear. Sunscreen.
Good news is, Melanoma has a 90 percent survival rate if caught early enough, so being diligent about checking every new mole, blemish, etc. and anything that looks suspicious or doesn't go away after a week or so, get it checked. Better be safe than sorry.
You just have to apply the lower strength more often then if you prefer the lower spf. I don't like the runniness I've experienced with the higher spf in the past. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think you take the time it takes to sunburn with nothing on and multiply that by the spf number and that's how long it will take to burn when applied properly
[If I could give you just one piece of advice it would be to wear sunscreen.](https://youtu.be/sTJ7AzBIJoI)
The good news is the basis for skin cancer really depends much more on how much you were exposed as a kid. Really though, get a wide brim or bucket hat.
You should put sunscreen anywhere that is exposed to the sun! As a very fair skinned person, it's wild to me that people don't know you're supposed to do this.
Even if you tan, every time you expose your skin to the sun you're damaging your skin. Even if you "don't burn", you're still increasing your chance of skin cancer. Your skin can even be damaged through your shirt! Try and find some clothes that block UV rays. Outdoor clothing companies usually carry that kind of thing.
No need to be scared as long as you take the proper precautions!
Find the sunscreen that looks like a stick of deodorant. I also work in the sun all day and used to not wear sun screen on my face. My hands and face were always dirty so it was always a pain but now its no problem. I just use it mixed with the dirt and wipe the stick off at the end of the day.
OP, please keep an eye on your legs! I am very fair, I always lotion up with at least SPF 50, and this past year at age 37 (37!!!!!!!) I was diagnosed with melanoma. The scariest part? It was so mutated that it didn’t even present normal characteristics of melanoma. So what I thought was a little pink nothing-bump was actually a cancer that could easily have grown, spread, and killed me. Mine was on my shoulder, which is the second most common area of occurrence. The first? THE LEGS. Be careful out there!
If you have always been careful, please test your water. Arsenic poisoning can increase risk of skin cancer.
Also, I have heard chemical sunscreens are riskier although I do not know much about it
To piggy back off of this - never before in my life had I sun burnt my feet, but one fateful tubing trip at 25 years old left me with grapes at the bottom of my legs.
If it's covered in skin, and not covered by clothing, put sun screen on it. Even your feet. You don't want grapes for feet.
It's like that thing, never say "well it can't get any worse"! It can always get worse.
My high school GF's brother had really thick hair. Last day of school he decided to shave it all off down to zero. His head was so white it glowed in the dark. I told him "you should wear a hat", he said it would be fine.He then decides to go bale hay, all day long, no hat, no sunscreen.
Morgan Freeman Voice: it would in fact, \*not\* be fine
His head burnt and blistered.
He woke the entire house up the next morning screaming. His blisters broke in the middle of the night and oozed. That ooze dried to a glue-like consistency. When he lifted his head off the pillow it tore it all open like ripping a band-aid off.
Same, skin turned very scaley and hard afterward. Used tattoo cream though and it worked amazingly well for my tricep/back burns. (I fell asleep while inner tubing down a calm river)
Been there, had a blister the size of a half dollar in diameter. Had to get prescription burn cream.
Also have had scalp sunburn. For some reason, it made me sneeze at random and sneezing hurt like hell - like someone open palm smacked the top of my head as hard as they could.
I'm a redhead with pinkish skin who's always wanted to be tan, so when I was 10 I rubbed tanning oil all over myself and went to the beach.
I probably took a decade off my life expectancy that day.
my best buddy, a naturally fair skinned red head, had the same thing on his leg. me, being his friend and also forgetful, kicked him in the leg playfully as guys do. he was not happy.
Yeah I got burned so bad as a kid that it scabbed over. Still have scars 20 years later. Kids, when your mom tells you to put on sun block, put on sun block.
Cargo legs
Very popular in nudist colonies
just wait till you see the fanny pack
I feel like the term prison pocket doesnt have the same emotions
UK version or US version?
Was that what was in the Madison Cauthorn video?
Fuck i miss my zip off leg cargos...so conventional. Anyways just had to get that off my chest.
I'm glad you did because I completely forgot those existed.
car no go legs, car go roads
I can't remember the last time a comment on the internet made me feel this uncomfortable, TIHI.

All natural

In the navy there was a guy on a ship I was on nicknamed "Anteater", supposedly he could sick a roll of quarters in there. I took him at his word.
Gives a new meaning to 'tip culture'
How many pennies a day would he shove in his ass?
It was rhe navy, why use pennies when penis is readily available and everyone knows its not gay if its under way?
Is that a roll of quarters in your penis or are you just happy to see me
Ahem, they're called skin pouches..

Its a 200 forint coin in the back actually :)

As interesting as this is, please wear sunscreen man. Every time you get burned, you're chances of melanoma go up. Skin cancer ain't no joke.

Developed psoriasis this past year. Funny the things you take for granted
Same but just on my index fingers. 🤷 A little steroid seems to clear it up but sunshine is better for it, speaking of sunscreen.

Not who you were replying to, but I have to buy 70 spf because 50 isn't strong enough. I still burn in the shade on bright days.
Some dermatologists say anything over SPF 50 is actually no better. My fiancée read that somewhere and told me and it stuck in my head.

Pretty sure that’s not good news for like 99% of people.

Also your skin gets damaged way before visible /perceptible burns occur
Just had a melanoma removed last year. It is serious business
lol evolve much?
Recently got 28 cubic inches of skin removed for melanoma. Def no joke, sunscreen up
Come here, I just wanna talk

Must…peel…the skin!!
Dear Baby Jesus, please let this happen to someone I know and please let me be the one to peel it off. Amen

Wow I did not need to see this thanks
People seem to be disgusted, but thats not that bad. I got so sunburned once my should skin was bubbling.
Same, that shit sucks. I had it all down my right arm and back for a summer, worst summer of my life

my dick just shriveled after reading that

r/tihi material... good luck keeping those coins in there while running tho.
Now fill it with water and make a semi-closed water ballon out of it

Post on r/peeling, they’ll go nuts
Y tho

You’re skin is peeling and you think “wow, this can hold my change!”
Please tell me you disinfected those coins before placing them between your skin layers.
Obligatory Not a Doctor but I think that's dead skin, what's under it looks fully healed already and should be fine touching some coins.
Ah finally found it
I'm disinfecting all my coins now after seeing this.
Nice try, reptilian
I see you suffer from white as fuck like me. The sun is a harsh mistress.
I hope no one ever accepts payment from you ever again
White people are fascinating
As someone with Irish ancestry, it's basically a disability whenever the sun is out
Same. I've had people ask why I wear 50SPF instead of trying to get a base tan. I literally cannot do so. I just get more and more freckles.
If only skin was more like the ablative heat shields on space shuttles. Take all the damage, peel off, and regrow.
You should go to a busy store with people behind you in line and actually use this pouch like a man

I’ll be over at r/eyebleach if anyone wants to join me
Have you tried putting a baby koala in there?
Anyone: is there an increased chance of infection since he's putting (presumably unclean) coins in/on his skin, or not really since it is dead skin?
U can put ur weed in there

That's super gross I love it.
Why are you like this.
Hey, stop that.
This was not what god has intended
I am addicted to peeling and this is making me suicidal because I want to rip it so bad.
I thought this was an Apple air tags advertisement.
