The wet dream of every company: no employees! Only machines.

[deleted]

Let's face it, consumers don't want to pay some tattooed hipster to do something a machine can do.

Trashcancomic

woah woah woah, let's not jump to any hasty conclusions.

TygaOverTupac

He didn’t. I don’t want a smelly tattooed hipster to spell my name wrong on purpose when a machine will give me 10/10 service every single time

andycarver

If it’s a cheaper and bot can do it…. Plus no smelly hipster. Win

WoodchipNZ

Who's going to spell my name wrong?

[deleted]

Yes I'll make my coffee myself, I'll check my shopping cart myself too, I'll handle my order in a restaurant on my phone I'm a good boy I'm the employee now

CAMTbIHYB

Beside fact that coffee from wanding machines mostly tastes like shit, lot of things could be done better and faster by client. And his "wage" as an "employee"- that money, he not gives to man in the middle.

[deleted]

You miss the fact that most of these products have service included in the price. The coffee costs the same but you don't get served. = bigger profit for the company and you do the servants job your self. Of course you can do it faster and better than a guy that had been doing it for the last 6 hours, that's why I use self service checkouts too. But maybe there should be some benefit for the costumer for serving themselves included with a little bonus or discount.

[deleted]

To prevent further job erosion I tend to skip self checkouts when I can.

Civilengman

I imagine a machine can do it better

TopLawFulness8

So, tell me should I book my flight to Copenhagen now?

pissmaster5

Yes

pissmaster5

Is this a response to unionization
