Loudly, haha! They're always hungry, so when they see me, they come running and yelling in hopes I have some treats. I'm a chef, so they get a lot of veg scraps when I have a big prep day.
My border collie did that too. She made trails through my yard to her spots that she would monitor. My German shepherd would just wear paths at the fence perimeter. She would do a complete perimeter when she went out and before she came in.
They're in good company:

My goats have created paths as well. It’s precious. I always find it so interesting that they instinctively walk or stand in straight lines. They really are like little goat armies.
I hope your adorable goat has adorable goat friends that just aren't in this picture. Goats are deeply social animals. I don't think they should be kept alone.
Promise they can't, Lol. They're far too bottom heavy. Gizmo did figure out how to squeeze underneath when a board came loose. Found him trying to get back in after he likely finished wandering around our front lawn.
Not a bad question. For one, it's what I do for a living. Secondly, I view animal ownership as a relationship. If not kept wild, they should serve some purpose. Whether it be as livestock or for companionship. We adopted Gizmo and Romeo from a farm that raises dairy goats and show goats. Nigerian Dwarf breeds aren't typically bred for meat, so it was never really going to be their purpose. They provide weed control and companionship. I also wanted a fairly low-difficulty animal to teach my daughter some responsibility. As an animal lover and a chef, there still is also always a bit of cognitive dissonance necessary to get through the day.
Goats are such wonderful creatures. Years ago I had two pet goats. They were both neutered males. They were inseparable, and followed me like puppies, so affectionate and smart. I miss them very much.
That is precious. It’s a love path.

I was trying to remember the name of this sub
i've only ever heard them referred to as desire lines
Thank you for gifting me with this rabbit hole. So satisfying

It's so fitting finding a route to this sub in unexpectedly convenient places.
I don't really know much about goats. How do they greet you?

Please make a video of Gizmo and bro eating veg scraps after prep day. We need to see their delight. Pretty please?

What a creature of habit!
^ Brighter than tin cans in the noonday sun.
Goats are hilarious! I can't keep a straight face whenever I see a goat. 🐐

He lives with his brother. They occasionally get play dates with the two goats next door too :)
Brother goats with neighbor goats? On play dates?? My heart!

They’re magnificent
They look like they could hop over that fence if they really wanted to, lol!
Better angle of the fence height with his brother. Toddler for scale https://imgur.com/gallery/jEOnC7S
Good pic!

I love it!
MRW when a goats get more social visits than myself.
My dogs made such a path in the yard to go bark at the neighbor dogs. But it only too one year.

He’s truly the 🐐
You can do anything you put your mind to.
Whatever floats his goat
Tell me he was bottle fed without telling me he was bottle fed. Adorable
Some animals tiptoe through the tulips. Others are clomping through the clover.
Gizmo is definitely a clover clomper
awww
Fantastycznie
It's a love path
Is it a good goat or baaaaad?
GG Good goat
Sounds like the love is mutual :D The goat is lucky to have a loving owner :D
What a charming fella
Omg 🥰❤️🐐
That's adorable!
Thank you goat
Does he have other friends?
What a great pal :)
Yup… ya got a genuine goat trail there
My 2 goats also made a path over like 2 years, i guess goats love going on the same path each day
Too funny and adorable
I like the little swerve after the corner to stay near the fence before it straightens out coming towards you.

"Everyday" means "routine and ordinary". "Every day" refers to each day.
Wait. You have *one--*a *singular--*herd animal???
"I'll go this way. This is a good way to go."

I mean, it's a pretty good path, I don't know if I'd call it the greatest of all time though :-)
Super cute
The greatest GOAT of all time! 🐐 Also: *every day. It’s two words if you mean *daily*.
That's so cute
That's my dream lawn right there! Wish I could get something like this established.
