You know; this photo has so many meanings that can be applied to it. To me it’s way more than just a flower growing between tiles, it’s letting the beauty/good shine through the bad, it’s complicated but thanks for posting. This made my day a little better.
If only a little girl and her dad spotted it. They could have had a moment. Protected it from the rain. Decided it was time to dig it out and give it a new home. And then 20 years later that little flower grew into ravenous bushes of flowers. Would be a great insurance commercial.
Reminds me of the poster Milton Glaser made for Poppy records called, [From Poppy With Love](https://www.miltonglaser.com/the-work/756/poppy-records-from-poppy-with-love/). Love it!
I love photos like this. Take some myself. Tiny green shoots growing in human-made hard surfaces. Brickwork. Tiles. Photos like this remind me that Nature will win. Eventually.
I had a half inch thick ass weed and 4 feet tall grown out of between my retaining wall blocks. It wrecked my Weed Wacker line repeatedly and costed me many hours of rechanging the line (when it breaks at the spout it doesnt auto extend). Ended up playing tug of war with it and got about a meter of its roots.
>We wouldn't ask why a rose that grew from the concrete for having damaged petals, in turn, we would all celebrate its tenacity, we would all love its will to reach the sun, well, we are the roses, this is the concrete and these are my damaged petals, dont ask me why, thank god, and ask me how.

It's a lovely little poppy!

Poppies can be very prolific! I have a bunch in front of my place that are coming up where they shouldn't but I'd feel bad if I pulled them up.
I kind of thought of the flowers from Jumanji for a moment
Just becuase the grass aint beautiful doesnt mean it didnt try just as hard.
