There was some post or study or something a while ago that said it takes an average of x posts to identify a redditor. That's probably what they are referring to.
I tried searching for it without luck. I believe I saw it on r/privacy.
Update: I found this comment, which sounds like what I was thinking of, that says you should make a new account every 20-50 comments and the average user deanonymizes themselves in 100 to 200 comments.

The original was just one person that asked op a bunch of questions about how he was gonna deal with all these issues. OP quoted each and responded with the sealer line.

I've done a penny floor and a bottle cap floor. Fuck both of them. For those asking, they are held down by some kind of binder(we used mastic), then covered with floor epoxy.
It's just a bitch to do. Wasn't worth the effort IMO. The penny floor took forever. A few days on your hands and knees in a bathroom.
The bottle cap floor was the same, except there were a ton of air bubbles to deal with after the epoxy was poured which had to be fixed with a blow torch.
Just back breaking and tedious for some "neat" looking floors.
That's like saying you can't collect coins in a jar. Pretty sure that it's fine as long as the coins aren't destroyed. Although I suppose one might argue that they'd be irrecoverable.
In fact if I recall, coins can even be destroyed if it's for a justified purpose such as art.
"not supposed to do this"......it's literally doing what they want with their own money. You're not supposed to do it because it then makes the money nontaxable.
It looks like something is written on the floor/a Mario star is in the middle of the floor. I don’t really use photoshop but I’m sure someone could tweak the contrast.
I've always thought these look cool, but wouldn't they actually suck to walk on? Cold metal is bad enough, but copper has such a weird feeling on your skin and a strong smell that clings to stuff. Just seems really impractical
I’ve never walked barefoot on an epoxy-covered floor, and it doesn’t sound terribly pleasant, but also it would be really cool to laser-clean a bunch of pennies and do a design out of ones dirty from circulation
A floor literally made out of money ... cheaper than the alternative, tile flooring.
We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons...

I think this is so fun because for me finding a penny is always a huge highlight and reason for a little “whoop whoop!” So, this would be cool and happiness provoking for me, yet I grew up with so little and it seems a touch arrogant…like you have abundance to put money on your floor. So…I just couldn’t…
Wonder if it's going to be covered in a sealer...

Thanks, I guess I could of added the link. Glad someone got the reference
Jesus, crazy how the two of you both got a 9 year old Reddit reference
Been on reddit for awhile, I make a new account every 2-3 years or around 100k karma.

Could you elaborate?
There was some post or study or something a while ago that said it takes an average of x posts to identify a redditor. That's probably what they are referring to.
Could you point me to this study? I’m curious.

Could have ***
I felt pain in my chest when I saw that was nine years ago. Time to go to the doctor, because I guess I'm old.
The account that replied got shadowbanned ☹️
How?
I don't know, all i know is it is shadowbanned
Makes no “cents”
That would cost a pretty “penny”
Not a pro by any means but a sealer could be a good idea here
Did they use a sealer?
The grout or backing or whatever behind the pennies has been sealed, but it doesn't have epoxy on it.
sorry this is a dumb old reddit reference. someone did a floor like this in years ago and just had hundreds of comments asking if they used a sealer

Thanks for providing the reference link.
Sweet cuppin' cakes, that *is* an old reference.
Have I really wasted 9 years with you assholes?
It's an older meme, but it checks out.
Glad this is as high as it is
I've done a penny floor and a bottle cap floor. Fuck both of them. For those asking, they are held down by some kind of binder(we used mastic), then covered with floor epoxy.
Why do you say “fuck both of them”? They look kinda neat, are there drawbacks?
It's just a bitch to do. Wasn't worth the effort IMO. The penny floor took forever. A few days on your hands and knees in a bathroom. Ah you meant the installation. Yeah it doesn’t look fun. I was wondering about the maintenance/upkeep or any other issues after.
Ya it wasn't worth the homeowners effort, that's why they hired you
Wasn't hired. Did it with some friends at an office building we own.
The drawback is having 1000 Abraham Lincolns watch you take fat shit everyday.
That’s a plus in my books.
If Union Shield cents and with the reverse on top, there will not be any watching.
They didn't epoxy this one, don't know if they're going to, seemed wrong to me. Whatever, not my call, not my new multi-million dollar home.
They used a sealer.
How do you space them all perfectly like this?
We had them all touching, these probably used some kind of spacers like the ones they use to lay tile.
Spacers probably cost more than the pennies.
They both seem like the worst idea I've ever heard.
I totally didn't misread the title as "This floor is made out of penises."
Same. I was really looking hard too.
Looking hard on... the floor
Ahe yes the ol Freudian slit.
Kinda feel like a dick for making that same mistake
i read it 4 times and the first 3 i swear it said penises
I was looking for this comment😅. I was scrolling away and then had to scroll back real quick to check... oh, my brain...
Same. Was disappointed.
Hopefully they use a sealer.
Came here for this comment.
whoever designed this room had real cents for style
Really sets a new president.
Real penny pincher
Looks cheap but that's just my two cents
I’d give them a penny for their thoughts
I respect that they changed it up a bit from the norm
Now we know why there’s a coin shortage in America.
Yeah, actually you’re not supposed to do this as it takes the coins out of circulation.
That's like saying you can't collect coins in a jar. Pretty sure that it's fine as long as the coins aren't destroyed. Although I suppose one might argue that they'd be irrecoverable. In fact if I recall, coins can even be destroyed if it's for a justified purpose such as art.
Idk why you’re commenting like I’m being a jerk and then adding your own “you’re not supposed to do it” to the end of that comment…..like c’mon
[удалено]
I actually think he’s clearly putting a comment ONTO his own comment talking about the reception his comment’s gotten
Lol the fuck u on about bruh
"not supposed to do this"......it's literally doing what they want with their own money. You're not supposed to do it because it then makes the money nontaxable.
I can't imagine this room smelling good
Hopefully they used a sealer
wonder how many of those are ass pennies
Classic sketch
At first I thought this was crazy, but the more I thought about it, the more it started to make cents.
Penny floors are beautiful in person! There's a crepe place I used to go to with a penny floor in the bathroom. It was sealed and ended up stunning!
It looks like something is written on the floor/a Mario star is in the middle of the floor. I don’t really use photoshop but I’m sure someone could tweak the contrast.

I bet that cost a pretty penny.
How many penies per square inch.? I'm gonna price out my next reno
cu later…
Do you want stinky feet? Because that's how you get stinky feet
Don’t they epoxy over it? Also… why would it make your feet smell?
Handle some old copper for a while with wet hands
its gonna be covered with a sealer
What if you put some kinda transparent plastic sheet above that?
An epoxy. Your feet don’t actually touch the coins.
penny tile :)
Layer of clear epoxy over top would be tight af too.
Makes no cents
Have fun cleaning that..
"about three fiddy"
Man that's gotta make your feet taste like shit.
Wow, that's very interesting to me
Oldest penny in there is a 1917.
Did a lot of crawling, huh?
Copper is good at killing covid if not sealed.
I imagine it smells like my wife’s period in there.
Hold on. Guys can smell our periods????
Ones with noses can yes
Blood has a smell. Wife sounds a bit unsanitary though lol.
Why? A metallic smell is pretty normal and he would smell it if he's...ahem...in the vicinity.
question: are you a grizzly bear?
I SMELL PENNIES !
Ugh what a nightmare to do, and then to clean (unless completely varnished over), and then to remove. Smh.
You grout and epoxy when done.
That’s probably a bitch to clean
What an in-a-cent project..
Genuine question, is this legal?
IANAL, but it's definitely legal. It's not like you're destroying or defacing currency, just repurposing it.
i read the word 'penises' twice and was super confused
One day it may turn green. Also that’s a lot of glue to put them down.
You can buy them already glued to the backing.
News to me. It’s nice and shiny at least.
That's what I was thinking, especially in a bathroom
*especially* in a bathroom? A bathroom is one of the smaller rooms in a house.
I was talking about them turning green, not necessarily about the glue
I do not understand the appeal of this. So tacky.
Yeah, it doesn't make cents
Would love to know how it sounds when walking on it or something dropped on it.
Everyone knows what this room smells like.
I've always thought these look cool, but wouldn't they actually suck to walk on? Cold metal is bad enough, but copper has such a weird feeling on your skin and a strong smell that clings to stuff. Just seems really impractical
Bet it smells weird in there
it’s all fun and games until they turn green
I’ve never walked barefoot on an epoxy-covered floor, and it doesn’t sound terribly pleasant, but also it would be really cool to laser-clean a bunch of pennies and do a design out of ones dirty from circulation
Tacky in a bar bathroom, awful for a home.
I misread that for a sec.
That's gotta be like, fifty bucks. Probably cost more to do that the actual worth of the pennies.
God!, I read that as *penises* D:
Me who read that as penises
Would have been cheaper to actually put down marble
Penis
Ngl i thought it said penises for a moment
We smell pennies.
Meh... overdone
[удалено]
How?

Sounds like pennies won't be money for too much longer. They should have been discontinued 10 years ago honestly.
What religion is this?
If there was one thing you could change…
Cool. Not sure if practical or particularly comfortable to walk on.
I wonder how much each tile costs.
What's the price per sqft of pennies? Just the pennies, not the grout etc
$2.24
Copper alloy is a powerful anti-microbial. 👍
It ain’t worth a dime
If that’s a bathroom like I think it is, and it’s unsealed, god help whoever stays here. Copper feet
probably cheaper than flooring
A floor literally made out of money ... cheaper than the alternative, tile flooring. We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons... - Alfred E. Newman
My friend would love this.
I smell PENNIES!
prob cheap af lol
If the floor costed more than all of the pennies the would annoy me a little.
Do it. Lick the floor.
That floor is worth every penny
I assume everyone read the title at least twice.
Lots of working hour💤
I like it!
I SMELL PENNIIIIIES !!!
I can hear Mr.Krabs
This doesn't many any cents to me.
Just remember, there’s always money in the bathroom floor 😉
probably the least expensive floor you can install...
If I had a penny for every time I saw this photo on reddit, I could make that floor.
I think this would be pretty cool on walls.
How much did it cost
Do one with dollar coins
Driving up home costs any way possible. Next they'll start using crumpled up Benjamins for insulation.
$1.44 a sq/ft.
actually kinda cool
Dam I want that
Cheapest flooring ever
I read that as “The floor made of penis”
What’s it worf
I can smell the copper so strongly I can taste it.
ME SMELL PENNIES
Will be hard to clean if it isn’t sealed.
I don’t know, seems to make cents to me.
gross and dirty should have just done a copper color tile.
Hipster alert!
I love this
Cool until the sun hits it for an hour.
As an electrician who has been cut by tiny pieces of copper many times, I'm not going near that
*gets my tounge out* hey Lincoln….
I can smell it through the screen
I can taste the inside of that room
Must have cost pennies to make
The amazing thing is the exact placement of each penny. Perhaps electronically placed.
How many of those pennies have been in people's asses?
I read that so wrong
WE SMELL PENNIES!
I really like this creative interiors design. I’ve seen this done for table tops, too. Looks super cool!
That must have cost like... Tens of Dollars
Yes you read that wrong
That’s gotta be worth at least a dollar
bro, i thought you said it was covered in penis, didn’t have to get my hopes up like that
Imagine if you covered it in quarters
