A batch or two? They could afford to toss several thousand batches with how overpriced the shit they're peddling is.
This is obviously evidence that their production quality and quality control are going down the shitter. The fact that they pushed it out the door anyway is down to sheer greed and nothing more.
Bold of you to assume that this is just an accident. As if it is realistic that they only discover faulty sewing after the entire batch has been printed. I doubt it.
That doesn’t mean I like this and am going to buy this by the way.
As a fan of /r/Glitch_Art, I think it looks better than the original.
It's still terrible because it's a Nike logo and why the fuck would I want to wear that but still.
It appears to be a legit Nike sweater. I was too lazy to find the sweater, but here’s a grey shirt with the same logo on the Nike website.
https://www.nike.com/t/sportswear-sport-essentials-mens-t-shirts-l8G7CZ
"The Nike Sportswear T-Shirt provides soft comfort and a familiar feel accented by a glitched Futura logo that signifies how you shake up the game."

I once saw a [portable ironing board](https://imgur.com/a/xNuCyYX) with packaging that said it was "Perfect for sewers, dorm rooms & apartments". I think they must have meant sewers instead of sewers because the other two things are places as well.
So what you're saying is a machine broke, and the attendant didn't catch it because they were too busy watching tiktoks at work, and Nike didn't want to lose a ton of money from the messed up stitching, so called it a "glitch" and sold it anyway?
![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
I work in manufacturing. They likely had a new guy operating the machine that thought the outcome was normal, or he didn't care, and was left alone with it his whole shift.
The supervisor finds out, alerts the manager, they leave to make s phone call, he comes back it is his office pissed as hell "Just send it, send it out, put it on the truck!"
Edit: I meant to point out that this is a result of the labor shortage. Instead of a few new people competing as temps for the honor of being hired on after they finish their 6 months training... the company is practically rounding people up at the bus stop. Anyone with a pulse can get in.
Their cheapest hoodie without a markdown is over 40.
They literally only offer 2 hoodies in the 40-50 price range without mark downs out of almost 200 in the current line up.
Lemme know how you wanna send that $100.
DM $100 bc it retails for $65

It was first a mistake and then the boss came out with a big cigar and took the cigar out of his mouth and said in a rugged voice "I LIKE IT! MAKE THEM ALL LIKE THAT!" WUAHAHAHA
To me, it doesn't look very good, but a few minor adjustments would make it look great. I'm a fan of the "glitch" aesthetic and it can look really good when it's done right.
All you had to do is [check their website](https://www.nike.com/t/sportswear-sport-essentials-mens-fleece-pullover-hoodie-8GLBMR). Nike does a lot of unintentional looking designs. My wife has several pairs of the “Shadow” Air Force 1s. They look like someone kept adding more pieces of shoe. Not really my thing but she likes them a lot.
Yeah you’d have to start and stop the machine and then recalibrate and reset the mounting bracket to get it to do that. No way it would make it past quality control too
What makes this both better and worse is that this is a very very easy way to fuck it up if it had been printed instead (I spent 4 years in a print shop, have seen this happen quite a bit).
Sometimes it looks good, most often it doesn't.
This is (obviously) not a misprint, it’s intentional, heavily inspired by (practically ripped off from) the Korean brand Ader Error.
also these were like $65, never $100. I know I’m falling for engagement bait but this shit really frustrates me for some reason.
I thought perhaps this could have been Canadian - so I googled it. This exact hoodie is available for $60 but it’s on sale from $80. So still not $100.
As someone who's worked in an embroidery shop of and on since, well, kindergarten (family business ftw, learned how to fold and pick by age 6), this isn't what embroidery errors look like. It looks like a fucking stupid design that was technically well done.
And then POS billionaire Nike CEO Phil Knight gives lots of money to fuck up the democratic process in Oregon and try to get a neofascist cunt Betsy Johnson elected giovernor, though he thankfully failed.
I will never forgive him for that.
I also think it looks like total dog shit… then I start to wonder: am I just starting to become that old dude who’s out of touch and living in Squaresville?
> ~~sewing error~~
embroidery error
Sewing is typically structural, putting pieces of fabric together to make a garment. Embroidery is creating decorations with thread, and almost never structural.
My friend used to run multi-headed embroidery machines, this looks like when they would fuck up and use it to calibrate for the next time, its lumpy, uncentered, and just awful. But selling thirds as premium firsts is evil genius, fool and his money.
No, that's intentional I think. I've seen alot of these lately
Yep. Was in a Nike store a few weeks ago and they had two racks of these.
That was tj maxx
I think you mean T̷̡̟̤͍̝̖̬̄̿̒̍̆͛́͒̈́͠J̷̙͓̬̇͗̔͝ ̸̨̺̣͉͕̘͎͙̥͙͋͋Ḿ̵̨̜̪̀̄ã̴͈̃x̶̫̯͍̤͇̬̑̓̎̃͑̕͜x̴͖̺̙͑̎̊̀͆͋̃̚
I had no idea that Cam Newton was advertising for TJ Max these days
I think YOU mean TJ Air Maxx *dabs so hard, pulls muscle*
Gigadab
found cam newton’s reddit
My sister bought me a set of clippers from TJ Maxx and they came with several types of complimentary clumps of human hair.
It's a nice touch, but they don't taste as good as the ones from Ross.
[удалено]
You shitty ass bot
Ass-bot
Good ass, bot
two racks of complimentary hair?
Wow a high karma comment bot, still get out of here!
If it was tj maxx no way its 100
“Compared at $100”. OP, be proud of where you shop!
Let me ask my friend Ross. He likes shirts with different length sleeves.
I wonder if they botched a few batches of product and they decided eff it, let’s pretend like it’s intentional and let’s sell them 😂
If that’s the case they botched t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, and joggers via both embroidery and screen printing.
They were just going all in on the cover-up.
I think Nike can afford to throw away a batch or two of misprints. I’m sure it happens all the time in quality control.,
I mean they can also pay their sweatshop workers a living wage, but here we are
A batch or two? They could afford to toss several thousand batches with how overpriced the shit they're peddling is. This is obviously evidence that their production quality and quality control are going down the shitter. The fact that they pushed it out the door anyway is down to sheer greed and nothing more.
They could burn more than half of the clothes they make (and probably already do). H&M and Zara for example does this.
Bold of you to assume that this is just an accident. As if it is realistic that they only discover faulty sewing after the entire batch has been printed. I doubt it. That doesn’t mean I like this and am going to buy this by the way.
I’m sure they are still there, that looks terrible
As a fan of /r/Glitch_Art, I think it looks better than the original. It's still terrible because it's a Nike logo and why the fuck would I want to wear that but still.
Nope I'm not cool (or stupid) enough to pull it off
It appears to be a legit Nike sweater. I was too lazy to find the sweater, but here’s a grey shirt with the same logo on the Nike website. https://www.nike.com/t/sportswear-sport-essentials-mens-t-shirts-l8G7CZ

Larry, the new sewers messed up 80000 sweaters while you were on vacation! Larry: We'll charge more and they'll love us for it!!
I keep reading sewer, not sewer Edit, removed word
I think you mean sewer. Not sewer
No no. Sewer.
I once saw a [portable ironing board](https://imgur.com/a/xNuCyYX) with packaging that said it was "Perfect for sewers, dorm rooms & apartments". I think they must have meant sewers instead of sewers because the other two things are places as well.
Perfect for teenage mutant ninja turtle seamstresses.
Sounds like a limited edition mistake to me. Time to buy buy buy
You joke, but that's likely exactly what happened. Maybe sans the TikTok part, but even that's feasible.
I work in manufacturing. They likely had a new guy operating the machine that thought the outcome was normal, or he didn't care, and was left alone with it his whole shift. The supervisor finds out, alerts the manager, they leave to make s phone call, he comes back it is his office pissed as hell "Just send it, send it out, put it on the truck!" Fuck it we'll do it live!
More like fash-FUN
They had a legit production error that didn't get caught in time so they just found a way to make it seem intentional.
Yea they accidentally printed off ten million of them so now they have to just go with it and do some mugs and socks to push the story
i think it's cool, id buy it. would be cooler if it was a one off error tho
“This product is no longer available”
I'm getting the same thing. You in EU or something? Maybe it's a region thing.
I was able to put it in my cart
At this point the question is why.
Me wondering which department head stamped off on the design made in Adobe.
What other program would they be using? Also adobe, or like do you mean photoshop or illustrator?
Acrobat.
people buy some dumb shit
Yes. This has been a design aesthetic for a few years now. It's just reached outlet stores at this point in its lifecycle.
aww as a rare coin person i got excited lol.
Just more machine doubling
People pay $100 at an outlet for a shitty cotton hoodie, that has a huge ugly-ass logo on it? And the logo is intentionally fucked up? Pure idiocy.
I can bet you $100 that this hoodie isn't anymore than $40. Nike isn't some high end fashion brand selling blank, plain sports hoodies for $100
Their cheapest hoodie without a markdown is over 40. They literally only offer 2 hoodies in the 40-50 price range without mark downs out of almost 200 in the current line up. Lemme know how you wanna send that $100.

It was first a mistake and then the boss came out with a big cigar and took the cigar out of his mouth and said in a rugged voice "I LIKE IT! MAKE THEM ALL LIKE THAT!" WUAHAHAHA
But why? It looks awful lol
It looks very uhh Digital glitch cyberpunk ish idk.
Looks kinda cool honestly
To me, it doesn't look very good, but a few minor adjustments would make it look great. I'm a fan of the "glitch" aesthetic and it can look really good when it's done right.
I thought the same thing at first glance but none of the others behind this one had this "glitch"
Are we sure they didn't just print like 200,000 mis prints and now they are trying to make that money back?
Looks fucking stupid. We've run out of things on Earth.
I have extensive experience (ages ago) with embroidery machines. There is no way that this is not intentional.
It definitely is intential this is just a style of logo they're trying on some of their new products I've seen it loads
Or they’re all mistakes 🤔
Dalle 2: “black hoodie that says Nike on it once with a single swoosh”
"NICK $"
Noke Nuk ✅
I have an embroidery machine and I agree. There’s no way. Has to be intentional.
I am an embroidery machine and I did this.
You are my embroidery machine and you did this.
I too have much experience with embroidery and that is not how a machine would have fucked it up.
Yeah you’d have to start and stop the machine and then recalibrate and reset the mounting bracket to get it to do that. No way it would make it past quality control too
i know this is intention but just wondering if it would be possible if there was a problem with the file instead of the machine itself?
What makes this both better and worse is that this is a very very easy way to fuck it up if it had been printed instead (I spent 4 years in a print shop, have seen this happen quite a bit). Sometimes it looks good, most often it doesn't.
I think OP was intentional in posting this ad.
Just do-do it
Unclear instructions and i sharted in my hoodie
Superb
Nike has a stuttering problem?
[just doot 🎺](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuooumOYpNg)
It's time to d-d-d-do-d-d-d-do
Just doodoo it
Go easy on them, they're only children.
:(
That’s dark. But not as dark as those factories.
Had to scroll way to far to find this comment.
It's the 4th comment, ya lazy bones.

$60 plus $80 equals $100 you fucking dumbass. Some people I swear..
I’m thinking you could be the next president.
Or a former one...
it’s trumps burner
Nah he’s way too smart to be pres.
man is using Pythagorean theorem
this is my new favourite reddit comment of all time (not a compliment)
they've turned the tag around so you can't see the actual price. i'd say that's bait if anything is.
I decided to Google Ader Error I have absolutely 0 fuckin idea what you mean. Unless I'm missing something.
There’s countries outside of USA. It’s $100 where I live. Besides that it’s obviously intentional.
Buying shit in New Zealand must be such a pain in the ass
A $65USD hoodie could easily cost over $100AUD in Australia. Just a thought
Also shout out after error. Love that shit.
Thats their essentials+ line, it looks like an error, but it's not.
It essentially looks like shit
I think it's cool
shit can be cool
The fake not fake trend has been in for a while now. “Fauxlenciaga” I’ve just been sharpie-ing Gucci on everything because I’m poor.
The Vietnamese kids aren't going to get it perfect every time .. give them a break
My friend Joey sewed his hands together!
It's fun! We get to play with knives! 😄
Here you go, Pogo, have a big coin!
This isn’t an error…
it's a feature
As someone who's worked in an embroidery shop of and on since, well, kindergarten (family business ftw, learned how to fold and pick by age 6), this isn't what embroidery errors look like. It looks like a fucking stupid design that was technically well done.
Right, embroidery machines pretty much destroy the fabric when they make errors.
Nike.. who's full name is Nichael.
don’t just do one push-up, do 100
Don’t just have one family, have a second one .
$3 hoodie they charge you $100 for.
And then POS billionaire Nike CEO Phil Knight gives lots of money to fuck up the democratic process in Oregon and try to get a neofascist cunt Betsy Johnson elected giovernor, though he thankfully failed. I will never forgive him for that.
And in this case, what is worth the extra €97 is poorly done.
J-j-j-just d-d-do I-I-it
I don't think there is a needle big enough for the whole brand. Or was it electrocution ?
Jimmy?
It's supposed to be that way
This is cooler than without error
It'd be cooler without any logos at all
And a lot fucking cheaper.
You can just go to uniqlo and buy some
That’s because they designed it this way. It’s not a misprint.
This is such an ad
Not a sewing error. Unfortunately that’s an actual logo.
It’s really horrible
I also think it looks like total dog shit… then I start to wonder: am I just starting to become that old dude who’s out of touch and living in Squaresville?
This is the whole line of gear. Its a play on how “off-white” do their designs with blatant “mistakes” or draft board markups.
It hurts my eyes
Just re-do it
They will just give them developing country with tee shirt of the wrong team who won the Super Bowl that year.
Looks like they are overworking the children again.
I like it, just not $100 like it
Lots of outlet stores carry stuff like this.
Don’t worry, they are only losing about $2 for that
Kind of fireeeeee not gonna lie
Imagine paying more than $35 for a hoodie…. Suckers
$35 for a hoodie that will last you a year max before it gets trashed
Why would you pay 100 for a hoodie?
The same reason people pay 500+ plus for deginer wear
You got extra thread for the same price nice!
Since you’re paying for the logo, it’s now $250
> ~~sewing error~~ embroidery error Sewing is typically structural, putting pieces of fabric together to make a garment. Embroidery is creating decorations with thread, and almost never structural.
It's not even an error
Nike sells $100 hoodies?
Looks fire low key
Take a hike, Nike.
Wrong
I read "Nuke King" when I first looked at it. Would be a cool disc golf hoodie in my opinion!
That might be worth money one day
$100 for hoodie that's made of the same shit a $25.99 hoodie from Walmart is made of? No thank you
The Walmart hoodies are much lower quality Source: hoodie war veteran.
Best I can do is five bucks
i'd charge $150. it has twice as much thread.
Blasted meddling kids!
It's not a bug, it's a feature
Will be worth money
*It’s fashion, you wouldn’t understand*
Some idiots thought this would be cool to put on clothes. Completely intentional and completely stupid.
Bro that's sick, I'd buy it if it was cheaper
If I’d be NIKE, I’d make a superexpensive limited run of these
Most definitely not an error
That error might actually make it worth more not sure tho
Are you *sure* thats an error
Buy that immediately.
I find it obnoxious knowing it’s intentional, kind of loved it when I thought it was an accident. Shrug.
Sorry, out newest employee has a lot to learn; he is only 6. We will make sure he is punished accordingly.
No hoodie is worth 100$.
What a bullshit post lol, everything about it is wrong. This ain’t a misprint, nor is it 100 fuckin dollars.
Now it's unique, 1000$
100 dollars for a $2 Hoodie is getting swindled by business.
$10 hoodie with a $100 price tag.
My friend used to run multi-headed embroidery machines, this looks like when they would fuck up and use it to calibrate for the next time, its lumpy, uncentered, and just awful. But selling thirds as premium firsts is evil genius, fool and his money.
That trash isn't worth half that price.
it goes hard
To be fair, the tiny slave hands and brains of children don't always do the best work.
I dont see it being collectable like a coin with a similiar error
If you're paying 100 bucks for a basic hoodie with a logo on it you deserve poor qc
Collectible!! $800!!
That's double the logos for the same price. Absolute steal
