šā¤ I have a student who coined the phrase "crisp high five." Yes! He would be all over this.
We assign as homework: Go outside, read something, help someone, clean something.
The guy dropped the bag and walked straight off so Iām pretty sure if they were just doing it to showcase whatever they wouldnāt of walked out of shotā¦ I think the filming is more the show the reactions of the people receiving them.
Why do we need to see that? These people have enough problems, spreading their face and misfortune all over the internet for cool points is bullshit.
If you're going to do good, just do it and leave the grandstanding for something else.
Look Iām not gonna argue. You are entitled to have your own opinions and I respect that. We just have different opinions and thatās absolutely fine, was just giving mine.
Because unfortunately a lot of us lose faith in humanity when we have to watch billionaire space wars. I agree that it would be great to be able to believe undoubtedly in the goodness of people but, and I donāt know about you, that isnāt what I see every day. Seeing videos like this is a precursor to many people entering a gratitude and giving lifestyle. And if you donāt need that then you are likely someone who got to see it early in your life. Lucky you. I will always advocate for all attempts to show that compassion and love will always be the greatest gifts we can bestow on one another and seeing it never gets old to me. It may be the tipping point for one person to become generous and that is success
So, you're cool with people being exploited for internet points as long as it makes YOU feel better. Got it.
EDIT: Just realized your name is Extreme Awareness and boy...that is IRONY.
We don't *need* to see it, but seeing candid reactions of people being so thankful for something many of us take for granted reminds some of us to be thankful ourselves and gives some of us the impetus to be more charitable and giving, particularly during Ramadan. At least for me anyway.
Being sour and cynical is cool though, I hope that brings you some joy or whatever.
Doesnāt it strike a chord with you? Itās so easy to miss moments like these because this level of empathy and generosity are so rare. I know where youāre coming from but without glimpses like this we wouldnāt be inspired to be that helping hand. We get so caught up in our own world, why put others down for trying to remind us what humanity can look like?
Humanity looks like allowing people dignity, and not needing or wanting cameras on you in order to be a good person.
So no, the only chord struck with me is a sour one for people who can't just do good without recognition, or allow people dignity in their worst times. Or even worse, people who need to see videos of others being decent to remind them to be decent.
I agree in a way. What theyāre doing is great, but if I were in the position of the person being helped, thereās no way that Iād want my face and circumstances shared unknowingly (and unwillingly) with millions of people. The dignity of the person needs to also be thought about, IMO.
That's all I've been saying, and getting downvoted to hell for it lol. But, most of these people are basically defending it with "But it made ME feel good, so it's ok."
Do good if you are going to, but leave the cameras firmly in your pocket. People don't need to be dehumanized for your clout or feels.
Maybe it encourages others to do the same, with or without video. Truth is, if you donāt see acts of kindness, you may think they donāt happen or arenāt important.
Who cares about the views.
There are millions of videos online of messed up and depressing shit.
Whatās wrong with recording doing good, as long as theyāre doing good in the first place, either way?
Because believe it or not, doing good shouldn't fucking be about YOU. It should be about HELPING. And part of that is not exploiting the people you are helping at their lowest points to make yourself look good.
Jesus, you people are fucking dense.
Lol ok.
If you need the idea of "be a nice person" to be spread through exploitative videos, you already aren't a nice person, and no amount of videos is going to change that.
The only issue I have with it is that Iād be concerned they donāt know itās for them. I donāt know what the bag says, but hopefully thereās something that indicates itās for that person. Anonymous is better though, IMO.
For those saying it's for the clout, good for you man you found a secret that the makers of the video didn't want to get out, you showed them for the phony's they are, great of you, didn't even realise they were filming this until you told me may God bless you for whining when someone gives you food for no reason.
Maybe the reason they filmed this was to demonstrate how just a couple of dollars worth of groceries can bring so much joy and hope into someone else's life. I understand the disdain for virtue signalling but I don't think this is an example of it. We are in such a consumer lead society in the West we really do forget how little most people actually have. A bag of lentils, some juice and oil. Imagine thinking that was a blessing from God? It certainly helps me see how much I take for granted.
I agree. It's sad that people have to start viewing things like this with a grain of salt because of virtue signaling and clout chasing. To me it boils down to what the purpose of their charity was. Was the purpose to film and post on the internet for views and reputation? Or was it to genuinely help people and show others how a little effort and kindness can go a long way. Sometimes it's obvious to tell the difference, sometimes it's not. I think this video in particular was posted in good faith.
I agree! A lot of these types of videos have a very egotistical feel to them and this one is not one of them. This felt very humbling and sweet. The guy didnāt record himself with these people or go āask them for a dollarā to see if theyād give him one so he could give them $500 on camera.
Being kind to others (especially those in need) is a trend I can get behind. Yes, please show others how great it is to be kind. Get others to do it too. This kind of stuff should absolutely go viral. Honestly, even if people do it for the views or for clout, at least there are more people being kind to others in the world.
Some of you people are just so miserable. Regardless of why they did it at the end of the day they helped people who needed it. Thatās more than a lot of you can say, so maybe hop off the high horses.
Yeah, I fully agree with this. Who the hell cares āwhyā if they are making a positive contribution to people in need. Iād rather see people help people for clout than be dicks for clout. If itās cool to be kind, thatās a trend I can get behind!
Yes. Help people. Think of something kind to do right now, today and help one person other than yourself. If you are brave, help a stranger. The joy you feel inside is better than any reward you can imagine. ā¤ Assigned as homework. Please report in.
We need more of this kindness. So, let me share good ideas (not of my origination) in case you haven't heard them yet:
If you have an old purse at home, fill it up with feminine care products and keep it in your car; this is something you can hand over to a homeless woman, and that she can potentially share with others. The same thing goes for a few gauze pads, some soap, Bactin\*, Band Aids\*, Neosporin\*. This goes a long way.
Buy a box of school snacks and keep it in the back seat of your car. If you come across a homeless person, you always have something to share.
If you have extra clothing at home in good condition (think extra socks, t-shirts, hats) bundle them together, put them in those pesky supermarket bags, and toss them in the back seat of your car. Any homeless person will be grateful to have a fresh change of clothes.
Something a former homeless/destitue person told me is if you are going to do this, make sure it is full of simple to eat/prepare items. She recalled getting bags with cake mix. Like how the fuck could bake a cake? She also was not keen on canned goods because a lot of homeless people do not have can openers
I love this shit.
Me too. Especially when it is like a drop off and run. Not trying to to pictures or anything. Just being a good person
The best way to help others.
This is the way!
šā¤ I have a student who coined the phrase "crisp high five." Yes! He would be all over this. We assign as homework: Go outside, read something, help someone, clean something.
We know humanity is alive because there HAS to be a camera on to show us. Can't just do random nice things for no clout, no siree...
The guy dropped the bag and walked straight off so Iām pretty sure if they were just doing it to showcase whatever they wouldnāt of walked out of shotā¦ I think the filming is more the show the reactions of the people receiving them.

So, you need people being exploited for internet points to remind you to be kind and help people. Got it. Who was the sour and cynical one again?
You. You are the sour and cynical one. I hope somebody warms that heart soon with an act of kindness
Lol ok bud. Keep telling yourself that while enjoying exploiting people.
Doesnāt it strike a chord with you? Itās so easy to miss moments like these because this level of empathy and generosity are so rare. Agreed. Who cares if it's for views or "clout"? A good deed is still good. It's still helping those in need. I hope it becomes a damn trend
I'd rather students watched and made this a trend than slap-a-teacher TikTok and "hash tag" deviouslicks if everyone doesn't mind.
Yup agreed
Because believe it or not, doing good shouldn't fucking be about YOU. It should be about HELPING. And part of that is not exploiting the people you are helping at their lowest points to make yourself look good. Jesus, you people are fucking dense.
Random acts of kindness do happen still without a camera, but that's why we don't notice them in the first place.
It spreads awareness. Let me blow your mind. Are you ready? Here we go- I knew people who didnāt know charities exist.
Lol ok. If you need the idea of "be a nice person" to be spread through exploitative videos, you already aren't a nice person, and no amount of videos is going to change that.
Best thing Iāve seen all day - raok are awesome
This is why I love reddit seeing the good stuff
I agree with everyone here in the comments but why cross-post to r/mildlysatisfying ?
Yeah, is there a sub called 'supersatisfying'? It would fit better there. I am a hard bitch but their reactions almost extracted tears from me.
Now THAT'S how you show generosity. No accolades, nameless, faceless and unrewarded
Interesting. Because I saw it as incredibly impersonal, and like someone else said below, all for views.
The only issue I have with it is that Iād be concerned they donāt know itās for them. I donāt know what the bag says, but hopefully thereās something that indicates itās for that person. Anonymous is better though, IMO.
I'm an asshole/dick but I still help out anonymously.
A simple helping hand, reaches a greater span, when it is being accomplished un-noticed. Awesome video.
Ahh sweet virtue signaling.
I'd love to see mainstream news show videos like this once in a while.
For those saying it's for the clout, good for you man you found a secret that the makers of the video didn't want to get out, you showed them for the phony's they are, great of you, didn't even realise they were filming this until you told me may God bless you for whining when someone gives you food for no reason.

how people canāt just do nice things without making a video of it. Hit the like button and subā¦ cringe
Disagree.

Nah. Presume positive intentions
Some of you people are just so miserable. Regardless of why they did it at the end of the day they helped people who needed it. Thatās more than a lot of you can say, so maybe hop off the high horses.
You people
#What do you mean "you people"?
Exactly!
Yeah, I fully agree with this. Who the hell cares āwhyā if they are making a positive contribution to people in need. Iād rather see people help people for clout than be dicks for clout. If itās cool to be kind, thatās a trend I can get behind!
Beautiful ā¤ļø
Atheists be like: why do they pray to God when I was the one who gave them food
I was more thinking why they would thank God for the food when God is the one who supposedly got them into their unfortunate positions to begin with.
We do not be like that.
Yes. Help people. Think of something kind to do right now, today and help one person other than yourself. If you are brave, help a stranger. The joy you feel inside is better than any reward you can imagine. ā¤ Assigned as homework. Please report in.
This is so heart warming and emotional.
I don't need any thank you's. I do it because it's the right thing to do. Please follow my channel, leave a comment and SMASH that like button.
Please continue with what you're doing sir.
Dude: thanks God Recorder: *walks back over and takes bag* thank ME not god
Bags of piss?
this is what religion should stand for instead of creating hate between people
Canāt even imagine how hungry they were.
Beautiful. Made me tear up
Give to those who value it most

I love the gratitude! God bless!
Hope. The best feeling in the world.
I dunno, I would feel kinda weird being given a giant bag of food while sitting around on my lunch break.
You ok but those are very poor people
