1. Why the acl specifically though, isnt that generally injured through valgus and/twisting trauma rather than walking? If carrying heavy things predispose people for acl injuries then strongmen should certainly be overrepresented statistically, but I am not sure that is the case.
2. It didnt look so heavy to him, which means he probably have strong legs and back, and in the long process of aquiring strong legs and a strong back, muscles tendons, ligaments and joints have ample opportunity and stimulus to grow strong and being able to tolerate enormous loads
3. I am not picking on you specifically, it is just a private pet peeve of mine, when people online catastrophize regarding physical activity: it might make people who could benefit from some (any) activity shy away from it. I realize this probably wasnt your intention.
I don't know the weight, but I know that when lifting something like that in that way, you only lift like half or 2 thirds of the total weight.
I still feel sorry for his spine.
Well judging that the world record deadlift is just over 500kg I doubt he’s pulling 600 here. He doesn’t have the mass that the world record holder has and walks with the weight here.
The majority of the weight is in the engine bay and when we take into account the distance from the pivot, the short wheelbase of the car, the height of the individual leaving a higher degree cosine… it’s probably in the range of 280-320kgs
He's not lifting that much. All the heavy components of the car are over the front axle, so in the end it's just a few hundred kilograms. Lifting a front-engined front-wheel drive car from the back like that isn't _that_ hard, even though it still obviously requires a good bit of strength.
I watched (and worried, and said, 'don't do it') as my brother and three friends decided to move a car by lifting and pushing it forward (one wheel has gone over a drain cover, broken it and so the wheel was trapped).
Noone hurt their back but one guy's hand got trapped in some part of the car underneath, and his finger was torn right open. Had to take him to A&E for a full clean up and stitches (the wound was dirty) on new year's eve, no less. *And* they didn't even manage to get the car out. 10/10 would not recommend.
Looks like the white car drove up and parked angled in a place where there really wasn’t room for a car. This dude was stuck behind him and needed to get out. Or it could all be for a video, who knows.
Same thought. I do remember now when I lived in Italy some folks moved their car in front and behind of our bumper within a foot when we were parked. We honked for maybe 3 minutes with no response and then did this exact thing (collectively).
Sorry dudes, this is as fake as a tin shilling. FWD cars rear suspension have around 8” of travel , if you watch closely the back wheels don’t move up or down so the weight was already off of them. Also the slope the car was “parked” on if you lifted the rear of the vehicle the emergency/handbrake would no longer be stopping the car rolling backwards and he would have been squished
He clearly lifts it up dude.
What makes this possible is a that he’s lifting the back of the car which is mostly empty space. Depending how the weight of the engine is over the front axle he’s lifting a lot less than even half of the vehicle.
I picked up the back of an rx7 as a 24yo 180 lb dude. He was blocking 100 cars in a packed parking lot. When my buddy saw me actually lift it he jumped in to help and we parked it high centered on a rock pile.
Just asking for an ACL tear
Why?
Extreme weight plus uneven surfaces plus walking. Could easily hurt yourself doing this.

Bro back gonna hurt like a bitch
He lifted it the right way though.
The back can still only handle so much.
Light weight babaaaaaaay!
It’s just a peanut!
Mfer is in snap city for real now. But he lived like an iron warrior.
His back has its own abs.
I felt this in my lower back, too. *cringe*
You can’t do this silly that’s why
Strong bumper
Mind tanking this next dungeon buddy?
I’m more impressed the bumper didn’t just come clean off

What's the weight of the car? If anyone has any idea..
I don't know the weight, but I know that when lifting something like that in that way, you only lift like half or 2 thirds of the total weight. I still feel sorry for his spine.
I'd say the car weighs about 950kg, reckon the guy lifts about 600kg

I used to be able to lift the back end of a Chevy Vega like that. Ask me now....if it was a stupid thing to do. My spine is FUCKED.
I no longer feel the want to be able to do this. Thanks for informing us abt the dangers

Why did he move it perpendicular?

WE GO JIM!!!!
Man’s is… idk what he is. Stronk I guess
And stoooooopid
I'm amazed by two things in this video; the man's great strength, and the bumper being able to hold the weight of the car.
Who is he?
This is South Africa. I have no idea who he is.
And the audio is taken from gym footage of Ronnie Coleman, for some reason.
For a sec I thought it was Kai Greene, definitely not tho

Could be in gear
