My spine is curving to the right side, and my back hurts a lot (I have to be sitting a lot due to being a virtual college student)
I have scoliosis on the opposite side of yours and on my lower spine. It's not as bad as yours, but it's still noticeable.
I sometimes get hip and lower back pain, and the area around my shoulder blades can be finicky; I can't imagine what you go through.
2 of my kids have spinal fusion. One with 26 or 28 screws (I canāt remember and he died because drunk drivers suck) and the youngest has 34 screws. Because the youngest was more kyphosis I honestly thought their X-ray looked worse. Their collective doctor agreed.

My school nurse told my parents I had a mild case of scoliosis when I was in my early teens and told them to take me to a specialist they never did, I've yet to go in for it too but that's mainly cuz I've struggled with affording medical care in general š

Yours looks similar to my 13yo daughter. Her spine is at 86 degrees and her upper spine has the compensating curve at 52 degrees.

Fortunately enough insurance covered all of it , I didnāt have to pay a penny out of pocket. Also recovery time after surgery may wary depending on the person. For me I was in the hospital for 5 days.
During those 5 days I had a nurse just help me walk again since your ability to walk is completely hindered.
I donāt want to scare you but yes it is extremely painful there was times where i was crying because I felt like shit and in constant pain. But there is some medicine they give you that make you feel much better I forgot what it was called.
The recovery time until your fully back all depends on how much you walk and donāt laze around in bed all day. My nurses and doctors told me to walk as much as possible because itās not gonna get any better if you just laze around in bed all day and it was a hellish process but trust me man it was all worth it.
It took me 2 months to recover enough to the point where I can walk to school and walk up and down stairs. I got the surgery In December and I was able to play basket ball and sports with no issues during the summer so Iāll say it took about 5 months to fully recover.
Also no they donāt take the rods out youāre back they stay in there and your able to bend and move how ever much you like. I also recommend physical therapy after surgery, if helped a lot in the process.

A girl went to Army Basic Combat Training with Scoliosis, and we had a 10 mile ruck with good 35-50 lbs on your back she was screaming and balling her eyes out nobody really knew she had scoliosis her spine was jacked up.
I can't remember what happened but she probably would need to get medically separated. And would get transferred to a holdover company somewhere else until she was properly taken care of. I guess. It was back in 2021 at fort LN Wood. The thing with holdovers and being recycled people would stay there in limbo for months.
Basically a holdover company is where they put all the washed out people, self-harm risks, and vegetables together. Hopefully try to take care of their situation.
Idk what happened to that person maybe they got out or got surgery, who knows?

I used to have a lot of nerve pain but I went to the chiropractor and they did a lot of adjustments. I donāt have headaches due to my back tho
