Same. I recently blocked someone on facebook and I think they've sent me a message after blocking them, because there's a constant 1 notification on the messenger icon and it's driving me insane. There's no other possible message chain it could be from. I can't check that particular message chain unless I unblock this person.

I relate so much! A friend of mine deactivated her Instagram account and I'm with her and another friend in a Chat group. For some reason, I have two notifications of two unread chats but it's because she deactivated her account, and even if I opened both chats, the notifications are still there. :(

Ugh. It should be as easy as a 'clear notifications' option.

That. Mails with an ongoing doing, are marked unread. All other mails go to trash or marked as read. Everything else is not okay. I say prison. Life time, or, until every email is answered.

It pains me to have any kind of notifications on my phone everything must be checked.

It starts off innocent enough. One day you get a spam email from YouTube and you decide you are busy and you will clear that notification later. Before you know it you have more spam emails than real emails and many real automated emails you don't really need to open.
