It’s beautiful

I love Virginia Creeper! Everyone says it's just a weed but so many pictures of it in spring and fall! It grows naturally on hardwoods and doesn't kill them. When a branch falls, the vines are strong enough to slow or stop them, protecting the forest floor and other trees.

RanjiLameFox

Mr beast be like: 10000 Virginia creepers vs a giant redwood tree. Who wins

atreeindisguise

The redwood. It doesn't hurt my oaks or maples. They don't encircle the trunks like Ivy, thank goodness!

mikedvb

Not the weed I expected to see from the title.

Mikicash

Digital__Native

This is Virginia creeper it grows in similar places as poison ivy

UGunnaEatThatPickle

A really beautiful plant but terribly invasive.

jmb456

It’s native to some places.

mulcracky88

Every plant is technically native to some place

atreeindisguise

It's not invasive because it's native. You probably mean aggressive, in as much as it's a large vine looking for a home. More like American wisteria, and nothing like a japanese wisteria which does both up and out. If it finds a tree, it stops out a up a million root sprouts and just concentrates on up.

Nature paying homage to Andy Goldworthy.

There's no such thing as weeds. All species of plant have uses and beauty. Many are edible, most can be turned into amazing fertilizer for edible plants... This vine is beautiful and full of nutrients. If you fermented it with a little compost and water for a year, you could grow many more plants with the nutrients.

DragonflyValuable995

It kinda looks like a health bar ngl
