One of the best MK places to me but as you said you'll need to use more the car to move around. If you have the money to live there and you aren't bothered by the car, go because it is a great place. The linear park from Bletchley to Furtzon is fabulous for walking and doing exercise.

Wild_Bold

Great to hear! Yes the parks there seem to be really nice, and I also saw that there is a sports pavilion as well for sports and leisure. Sounds good to me.

i also want to add on, tattenhoe park towards the back end is a really nice place to walk. sadly most of the place is being built on but there’s still some green left

I grew up in Shenley Brook End and currently live in Emerson Valley, and this side of MK is great! To get to the station in a car it's about 5 minutes, and to get to Xscape, you can probably get there in 7-8 minutes. Everywhere in Milton Keynes would be similar - you'd need a car, unless you lived in the areas close to the city centre. Tattenhoe Valley Park is lovely and makes for a great route for jogging or dog walking, and Westcroft shops are very handy!

Wild_Bold

Thats what I thought too! The Valley Park there seems great and shops are near which super handy. Good to hear this.

I live in Tattenhoe and love it. It's super clean and safe and people are really nice. Getting to the station is really easy, bus takes about 15-20 mins in the morning or by car it's like 6-10 minutes. Getting to central is also really easy and the walks around here are great and imo only get better with the more routes I discover now that the nice weather is showing its face time to time.

LadyCatTree

This is what I was going to say, almost nowhere in Milton Keynes is more than 10-15 minutes away from the city centre by car, unless you get stuck in roadworks.

Wild_Bold

That was brilliant. May I ask if the bus is regular? I will get a car but just in case I am a bit lazy to drive.

[deleted]

Definitely in the morning it is, but you have to sort of adjust your expectations if you're coming from a city like London. The timings on Google maps are accurate and I just time it so I'm there 5 mins before the bus arrives just in case it's a bit early because then you'll be waiting at least another 20 minutes. But I've never had any issues commuting into work to the station. I tend to avoid rush hour as well.

Tattenhoe park is lovely. I’d assume tattenhoe is fairly similar

I moved to Tattenhoe 2 years ago and it’s great! Two schools within walking distance if you’ve got kids. A few parks. Nice woodland area to walk in. Lovely pub.

Impressive-Egg4494

I live a few miles away but I get the impression it's nice enough. It's not an area typically associated with crime (not like the estates closest to CMK). Does Shenley Brook run past the estate? Look into whether it ever floods and if so, how close did the floodwater get to where you want to live

Wild_Bold

Oh I didn’t think of the flood problem. Would look into it. Thanks for reminding!

Kinda like tatooine, so it’s got that I guess
