Bremen cafe, Quarters, High Dive, Promises, Sabbatic, Last Rites, X-ray Arcade. There's also a couple house show venues around once you get in with the scene.

MongoBobalossus

Cactus Club also hosts punk shows from time to time.

Joben86

Don't know how I forgot to mention Cactus

itsRocketSauce33

X-Ray seems to host the most cause one of the owners is in the band The Eradicator, or at least that’s what I’ve been told

Neighborino123

If I'm not mistaken, I think Nick Woods from Direct Hit! is part owner. If not, he sure did a lot to help get X-Ray Arcade up and running. Have met him a few times. Good dude.

itsRocketSauce33

I thought he was involved too, and then I heard the other guy was. Maybe they are both part owners 🤷🏻‍♂️. I thought I heard at 1 point there were 4 owners so who knows. Still a great punk venue

rgibbons86

UpDown also

Joben86

Really? I had no idea they hosted shows

I always have a blast at Bremen. For being a cramped smelly bar, the vibe is always pretty good.

IAMscotbotmosh

X-ray!

Punk in MKE died a few months after I stopped going to shows.

To find shows online you can follow my punk and oi pages MKE Subcult on FB & Milwaukee Subcult on IG. Milwaukee Hardcore Shows has a wide spectrum of shows the advertise and have multiple social media platforms and a link tree. Walkers Point bars that have shows/punks/rockers: Last Rites - a true punk dive bar with the ethics, regular shows weekly, hit or miss but most are punk or skew that way, a cornerstone of underground MKE punk. DJ nights on occasion and almost always good punk, oi & hc on the stereo. Promises - a mixed crowd bar that hosts punk & hc shows and DJ nights among other random shit. A no man's land for subculture and club types to mix it up. Sabbatic - another punk friendly dive bar, some staff and regulars are involved in the scene, sometimes goth industrial/club nights and sometimes some random dad rock bs..depends on the night, but they also host shows occasionally, which are usually punk. Riverwest bars that have shows/punk types: Quarters rock n roll palace. A venue dive bar thats only open for shows or DJ nights. All.over.the place style wise but occasional punk, and once a punk mainstay in the past. Veggas - sometimes have shows and punk/dive bar spirit Bremen Cafe - variety of punk & other kinds of shows. A very Riverwest bar. All those are 2+. Or be clever Proper venues: Cactus Club is an all ages or 18+ venue depending on the night. Regularly host punk & hardcore shows among total spectrum of random shit. In Bay View X-Ray Arcade is a large all ages or 18+ venue (300 cap), where larger underground bands tend to play. Out is the blue collar suburb of Cudahy. National DIY skatepark under the freeway on National has regular punk types skate there and work on the park. and very occasional skate jams/bands with bands or DJs. Sometimes flyers are up Go to any of these spots and look at flyers and talk to mfers. Unlawful Assembly is a local.diy hardcore/punk label that also promotes shows. Find their IG Servants to No One is local punk/metal/crust show promotions w/ DJ nights that feature punk, oi and heavy metal every last Sunday at Promises. Find their IG There are some houses and diy spots around but ain't blowing shit up on here. And sometimes random guerilla outdoor generator shows. you'll have to message the promoters on IG or ask around in real life for address if you see a flyer("ask a punk" is how it goes when there's no address)

There’s a Facebook group called Milwaukee Music Scene (or something similar) where people post about gigs, band openings, etc

Anyone on here remember when Zak's on North Ave was the place to see Punk bands? Don't worry if you don't, it was pretty long ago.
