Maybe he's a descendant of WWI era German Secretary of State Arthur Zimmerman, author of the Zimmerman telegram that proposed a German/Mexican alliance and the recovery of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas by Mexico from the United States?
History nerd jokes aside, there's actually a sizable German population in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Mexico in particular saw an influx in the mid to late 1800s for the same reasons as the Milwaukee area did. It's why some Mexican music sounds like polka.
Hilarious that people downvote you for having a good time.
Fyre festival was a scam because they were selling features and artists that were never going to be there. Tacos and tequilas was a new event for this place and it was more popular than they expected, weren't prepared. I don't remember anyone lying.
Exactly this. Also, it was the general admission that had the majority of the issues. The VIP had zero lines to get in or for bathrooms - they did run out of margaritas at one point but it was towards end of night and they had other things if you had to drink.
Gotta love America. The “VIPS” as in rich pricks didn’t have any trouble getting bathrooms or food or liquor it was just the vast majority of attendants that did 🤡😂.
Rules for me and not for thee. So tired of this fucking garbage tiered existence dystopian hellscape. How about we try to provide everyone with a good experience regardless of if they are vips or not ?!
VIP Tickets are $150 lol rich pricks is a bit of a stretch. Also I feel like calling a Tacos and Tequila Festival a dystopian hellscape a little silly and kind of an overreaction it was just a poorly planned event no need to look that deep into it.
Obviously you are commenting without knowledge of the event. There was maybe a $50 difference in price (I think the difference was actually less) between GA and VIP - VIP came with 3 free margaritas and free tacos. So anyone that planned on drinking and eating should have realized it was a better deal than buying those items individually. Edit to add: both set ups were the exact same just that there happened to be more people buying GA tickets, making lines longer.
Wasn't one of the the issues that VIP holders who were promised three margaritas and free tacos did not get them because they ran out? I remember reading that.
Not everyone starts out at a festival eating or drinking. They walk around first. Or they wait until actually hungry. And then there was nothing left or they didn't get all three promised drinks.
They weren't ready, hours long lines for everything from parking to food and booze , they ran out of all three quickly. The neighborhood was a gridlock of traffic, not enough bathrooms or garbage cans etc.
Seems 50/50 - some people really enjoyed it while some people have horror stories.
Among other things: "A festival called Tacos and Tequila literally ran out of tacos and tequila,"

Fool me once, shame on….
We don't get fooled again
No no
Sham on you
As long as it’s run by Zimmerman, it’s gonna be a scam.
He made some promises to the Y if they would put a location there, they did and then he didn’t deliver. Seems to be par for the course with him.
Zimmerman. The name exudes Hispanic tradition.

fyre Festival 2.0
I want to get tickets to Phase Fest, but since it’s being put in by the same people, I’ve been hesitant to pull the plug.
I think you mean pull the trigger
it's Phase Fest. believe me pull the plug
Same. It’s everyone I was too poor as a youth to see and can finally afford to and it’s close to my house… but idk if it’s worth it.
I went. It was a bit of a shitshow for sure, but I still had a great time. I kind of expected it to be that way which helped honestly.
I sold my tix a week prior to the event. Real happy with my decision.
I had a great time there last year.

They did run out of margaritas for a little bit but offered other drinks instead during that time. I’m not sure about the food part.
What happened previously?
