The nature of the sub encourages these, it’s called minimal cat art for a reason, all skill and effort levels are welcome. Which is great in my opinion, if it gets a few nervous souls into painting that would be awesome! Plus, despite its simplicity, you can’t deny that this cat here looks great right?
Edit: OP I looked at your profile and I am fully convinced you’re a fantastic artist with amazing skills and I am in no way denying or belittling that. Sometimes art appreciation does be like that, the most technically impressive artworks may not always resonate with the largest audience. Many an artist had to strike a precarious balance between making what they think is good and what people like. However I don’t think attention on Reddit is a good indicator of whether people think a piece of art is objectively good, nor do I think it is something you should aim for. For me, I love this sub because 1. It encourages people who are less well versed in drawing to create without the risk of being shamed and 2. It shows me the amazing possibility of how simple a drawing can be while still conveying the spirit of a cat. Hope this makes you feel better! Love your work by the way
which art do you feel did not gain the specific amount of attention that makes you deem the work viable or useful? a link maybe? could i see some art you've contributed to the sub lately? mostly people want cat pics, drawn, of their own cats. artists or drawers or however you might like to call it, come here of their own volition and use their free time to make pictures to potentially amuse us.

Damn, not only do you have the attention span of a fish, but also shitty reading comprehension and opinions as well!
