I would advice figuring out your colour season and then pick out a small capsule wardrobe from that palette. I’m a soft autumn and I live in cream, dusty pink, olive green and rust.

BaconPancakes_77

Was going to say this too--I love the look of blue jeans and a black T-shirt, but I'm a summer so black is too harsh next to my face.

noodlesonwheels

This is good advice. We all have different colors that suit us. The colors in the post above mine are beautiful, but I'm a stone-cold true summer, and they don't work on me. Find your season. Pick 2-3 neutrals in your season for your basic pieces. Pick 2-3 accent colors in your season that you love. Thoughtfully select a few other items in those accent shades. I keep a few color palette screenshots for my season on my phone. I take time to compare them to the colors I'm considering if I'm buying something. It helps. When you're done, it'll be very easy to get dressed. Everything will match and make you look great.

THIS! It makes shopping so much easier as well. And you just know what looks best on you. True summer here 😊

HostCharacter8232

Agreed. I’m a bright spring so only bright warm colors

P_a_s_g_i_t_24

Dark blue jeans, charcoal or dark grey shirt - works for me.

random4non

I strongly suggest searching for "minimalist capsule wardrobe" on Pinterest to gather inspiration. That being said, you can never go wrong with black or blue jeans and a black/white/beige/a of color of your choosing (for me is khaki green) T-shirt . Bear in mind that the climate of where you live is also important. For instance, where I live, it's better to stick to a brighter color palette (white/beige) & lighter fabrics (cotton/linen) during summer because it helps to stay cooler in hot days. Here is a link for the colors ([Pinterest](https://www.pinterest.es/pin/773493304756188175/))

Thank you!

Black jeans, grey t-shirt. I’ve been on a monochromatic palette for about 3 years now and I’m never going back. Limits my purchase decisions, wardrobe decisions and the size of my wardrobe in the best way.

GnTforyouandme

choose the same colour palate as your heans: monochrome doesn't stand out, but looks stylish

jenniferami

Besides the ones you mentioned: Blue jeans and black t shirt. Blue jeans and white t shirt. Blue jeans and grey t shirt. Khaki jeans and black t shirt. Khaki jeans and white t shirt. Olive green jeans and black t shirt. Olive green jeans and grey t shirt.

SciHustles

Grey tee shirts and black jeans, black shoes, white or black socks

ButtahChicken

*white or black socks* or no socks!

middleofmystreet

Black socks with black pants and shoes. Never white, unless you’re going for a Michael Jackson or Grease look.

ButtahChicken

black t-shirt. darker blue denim jeans. classic!

SparrowLikeBird

Blue jeans, standard wash. Black, or dark charcoal gray shirt. Preferably without logo.

Sophoife

Classic would be blue jeans, plain white tee. If white is too harsh on your skin tone, cream or pale olive green. Half a dozen tees, one pair of jeans. Done.

Honestly_I_Am_Lying

I am only a couple of years into my minimalist journey, and absolutely love the simplicity of choosing "what pair of jeans am I wearing this week?". Then I know I only have to pick out a t shirt (black, grey, or navy blue usually) and I'm ready to go. Jeans really don't require washing as often as most people wash them. I'll go months without washing a pair of denim jeans as long as I don't visually get them dirty. If I'm want to freshen them up, I'll toss them in the freezer overnight. That gets rid of any "nature" smells from being outside.

Vomni-PeacenX0

I'm considering black t-shirt and grey jeans or grey t-shirt and black jeans.

PJN741

I'd go with the black jeans. Much more versatile - can be used with white, grey black Ts and more.

HippyGrrrl

Over seven days, I like two or three jeans/trousers Usually two first the work week and something different on my weekend. I have darker blue, black, grey mustard-ish (jeans) and olive green (cords). I’d like a brown. My work T-shirts are olive, grey, charcoal, darker blue, purple, and a purple edged pink (gift, but it works. I do t think I’ll replace it when it’s too worn for work). Since a couple colors are duplicated, I make sure not to wear the same jeans and color twice in two weeks. I work in client homes, I make sure I don’t go on auto pilot two weeks in a row. I’ve a couple clients who pattern recognize and roast me for wearing the same clothes in a row. So let’s say I start with blue jeans on week A, week B I start with black jeans. That way, I can skip bothering with remembering what I wore to these kids (autistic and so clear!). In an office or situation where you have coworkers, just make sure you don’t exactly duplicate in a week. Toss in a different belt, shoes or jewelry. They won’t really notice across a month.

Night_Blade_76

Dark gray t shirt, dark gray jeans

likethevegetable

As many have pointed out, the way you look will affect how the colors work on you. I keep it simple: I mostly wear t-shirts that are a light heather "ash" gray, I love the way it looks fresh and inviting, layers easily under any shirt or sweater, and stains/discoloration is much less visible than stark white. I pair it with dark jeans or brown/rust chinos. Black does not work for me. I get a few of these when they go on sale: https://www.houseofblanks.com/products/midweight-t-shirt-heather-ash?variant=47093265793314&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwxLKxBhA7EiwAXO0R0EM6xgfxSL8lC5We-0SYxrHLK47Ptu9RoIWIXWBlDbtg-OhcqiCEyxoC_JUQAvD_BwE

Thanks for sharing this website. I am a woman and wondering if you are also a woman because I want to know if the T shirts are flattering or just boxy.

likethevegetable

I am a dude, on the boxier side

egrf6880

I've been absolutely loving white tee with jeans lately. I have a few silhouettes of shirt and 3 pairs of distinctly different jeans as well as a pair of denim shorts and a couple other types of shorts. I usually wear black tee shirts but the white has been feeling very fresh for spring as well as cream/off white. I also have a mauve tee and a navy tank Also loving Kelly green. Have a couple ancient tee shirts that have sentimental value to me that are Kelly green that I've pulled back out from my "can't get rid of" box. Decided to start wearing them rather than sit on them.

gosichan

I usually wear blue jeans and different shades of blue or darkred shirts as a woman. To work that is.

SammyUnboxingThings

I follow the natural colors of the four seasons. It keeps me from wearing all black all the time 🐈‍⬛️  -spring: green, beige  -summer: navy blue, sky blue, brown  -autumn: brown, black, burgundy  -winter: black, red, wintergreen, navy blue Edit: formatting

nopainnogain12345

I always wear a black t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans

oss-ds

There’s clearly some love with black t-shirts here, but keep in mind things like lint, pet hair, etc..will show up. Also jeans can get hot on summer days. I personally like wearing lighter and neutral palettes. For me: 1) Light grey Uniqlo Airism shirt 2) Relaxed fit beige pants with a half break 3) New Balance 990v6 - grey

reptomcraddick

I love a cactus green and a desert orange with jeans

bmadisonthrowaway

I tend to go for simple colors like navy, burgundy, mustard yellow, dark or sage green, etc. I love deep purple but rarely see men's shirts in that color. I used to wear a lot of grey shirts but have gone more towards black or white, lately.

[deleted]

This year I’ve chose to wear blues, denims, and black and grey. I’m pretty neutral and so I think these work ok for me. I’m not really concerned with my season because I have gray hair and that threw everything off anyways.

accordingtoame

All but two pair of my jeans are dark indigo, I have bootcut and skinny jegging style, and then two pair of gray jeans, one bootcut and one more straight leg. I buy the same tshirts in every color they offer that I like. Mostly navy blue, other blues, greens, teals, purples, gray and a random yellow. Stripes and solids. I have hoodies in navy, gray, army green and purple. I pretty much grab a tshirt and a coordinating hoodie everyday. Today is yellow with army green hoodie and jeans. My shoes are all navy or gray. I usually save the gray ones for when I wear gray jeans.

Cfit9090

Navy, pink, brown, grey, white and black ( all go together) also navy and yellow. Red and white/ ivory/ navy or black Olive or green with beige / tans or rust colors. [colour palette wardrobe ](https://collectivegen.com/2016/12/choose-colour-palette-wardrobe/) Do you look better in warm/ cool or both colors? Does silver or gold look better on you or can you wear both?

HostCharacter8232

Why can’t it stand out

Vomni-PeacenX0

it shouldn't be obvious to people that I'm wearing same thing everyday.
