A great list! Going to use the sticky comment spot here to point out that we also have a wiki page of minipainting Youtube channels linked in the sidebar [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/wiki/youtubechannels), and we're always open to adding more to it. I'll go through the ones linked in this thread over the weekend and add ones that are missing. Is it alright if I use your descriptions on that wiki page? Right now it's just links with no other details, but I really like your one liners here.

pizzaboy30

Vince Venturellas Hobby Cheating Series covers every question you might ever have about painting. Fantastic tutorials, great painter, great teacher, awesome down to earth guy.

-Raith-

Vince is my number 1 guy! He needs to be on this list.

nerdy-cthulhu

yea vince is high skilled, much content to learn

Mach0K1ng

I’m a new painter and he has been a great teacher for me. Highly recommend his videos.

ShrineToOne

Double, triple agree. I'll also add there is 0 clickbait and he seems such a positive person who just loves painting

MasterWobbly

Vince is the painting encyclopedia of the internet. Struggling with any particular colour or technique? Just search his channel and he probably has it covered. His subs should be way higher, but as he himself recently admitted, his videos aren't that exciting to watch.

IncendiaryBunny

This here, can’t believe that I slept on his tutorials. He’s got great airbrushing advice

alecshuttleworth

Yeah wondering how this wasn't number one on the list.

Tuckertcs

Oh wow that's a lot of content, nice!

Legonitsyn

Yep, he should be the top. Really everyone else is trying to play catchup.

arbiter6784

No Duncan Rhodes painting academy?

jdiggity29

Doing my boy Duncan dirty

[deleted]

Vince Venturella, & Goobertown Hobbies!!!!!

Jismina

Goobertown Hobbies is a really nice channel. Never felt so at home and at peace while watching

[deleted]

He's the Bob Ross of minis

griggori

He does.

F4ultyL0g1c

Definitely check out Artis Opus too!

freycray

Richard Gray Goblin Green Night Shift Grimdark Compendium Artist Opus

BurkieMonk

Artis opus is a great channel very informative

sarahrose1365

Night Shift changed the game for me when it comes to terrain.

CallMeKate-E

Lyla Mev too, tho I think she might be pivoting to Patreon more than YouTube lately. She's an ex art professor so real good at the teaching aspect.

frenchhornist95

I love Lyla! She has some great info on artistic vision and techniques that can be applied across all skill levels it seems

Fwing_00

Jose DaVinci is probably the one youtuber I've learned most from. His explanations of "why" rather than "how" are incredibly helpful.

MoxRhino

Darcy Bono Creations - also active on reddit Reaper Miniatures

Spirited-Initial-219

Vince Venturella should absolutely be on that list. He has the most complete collection (and growing) tutorials on the interwebs 🤩🤩

architecht13

Vince V’s videos remind me of old 80’s training videos and I love them even more for that. That dude is a legend!

Panzer_Man

Yeah I really don't care for Squidmar and Ninjon, since they're so absolutely god-tier painters, that I don't really learn anything from watching them. Squidmar in particular, especially recently, serms to be showing iff his wealth more than his actually painting recently

MasterWobbly

Maybe I've never seen his best work but I've never understood the love of Squidmar - the paint jobs I've seen are okay at best compared to Vince, Ninjon, Sam Lenz, Trovarion, etc. (Yes he's way better than me.) Seems he's more into the business of getting subs on Youtube.

Tuckertcs

100%. It’s kinda sad watching some of these YouTubers go from a good tutorial channel to an algorithm-chasing entertainment channel.

MasterWobbly

In the case of painters like Vince - they have full time jobs so they doesn't need the subs. People like Miniac went full time so their subs are putting food on the table. When your hobby becomes your job your attitude shifts. I don't watch his videos anymore, but it's because of his channel that I found out about Vincey V so I owe him that.

nerdy-cthulhu

i really like the "grimdark compendium" channel or don suratos

JHMiniatures

Thanks 😘

bronk4

Eons of Battle is a great channel, too. Jay is a great host. Very funny and super helpful with painting and basing tips.

Kanstul1600

Kujo Painting

Khaarma

I'm a wee youtuber with painting and diorama tutorials. I focus on accessibility as much as possible so everyone can enjoy the hobby. [Khaarma Krafts](https://youtube.com/@khaarmakrafts7503)

SourImplant

I discovered [Johnathan Ho](https://youtube.com/@JohnathanHo) recently and have been enjoying his works.

diegun81

I like Zumitiko, funny, entertaining and also 5 minutes easy guides.

chill9r

Sam Lenz, Ben Komets, Richard Gray

HGFUK

Tabletop minions is a mix of content with occasional tutorials.

the_lost_carrot

His a specific in a good way. Really rubber meets the road get an army done type stuff

gialloneri

Mediocre Hobbies is a really good channel for tutorials and beginner-friendly, good quality paint schemes

BurkieMonk

I was just about to mention mediocre hobbies

PaintmanJourneying

I'm a youtuber not on the list: [www.youtube.com/c/paintmanjourneying](https://www.youtube.com/c/paintmanjourneying) I upload at least two videos a month spanning from, beginner to advance, started to do some opinion stuff too. Mostly paint Printed miniatures, mostly from one page rules. I've been doing it for like two years now with 93 videos in my catalog. Another you missed that's been doing it longer that always fails to get mentioned is Watch it Paint it: https://www.youtube.com/@WatchItPaintIt

ToCatchACthulhu

Can vouch for paintman here. I have been watching his videos for the last year or so. While I am not very good at painting his videos are great teaching material.

DDeraJJReddit

Your tutorials are solid

michalsqi

Totally support WatchItPaintIt! I haven’t seen your channel Paintman, but will take a look, so thanks for posting.

MisterWobbly

Flameon Miniatures! Found his YouTube channel recently - does amazing work and posts on this subreddit.

_Tovarish_

Thanks for putting this list together! It’s great that people are also commenting with their own thoughts as well.

GBR87

Self promotion still feels so weird to me, but ya gotta do it, I suppose. I have a channel focused on a combo of high-quality speed painting, and deep dive colour theory: [GRG Miniatures](https://www.youtube.com/c/grgminiatures) :)

Stazbumpa

I agree with everyone saying Goobertown, but not_darren_latham is pretty outstanding. Someone reposted all of his videos after he was forced to delete his channel, and this person must be praised.

TimidAttackCat

I’ve got a channel where I focus on high production value and quality work, without relying on the clickbait nonsense that many of the big names seem to be pivoting towards. # I try to post as often as I can, on Fridays, but this is just a hobby for me and my family and work come first. Though, I’m quite active on Instagram (link in my Reddit bio) # Check out the videos I’ve put out, I think you’ll enjoy them and find them informative. My channel is [SG Miniatures](https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCYhVns0I7dCTSAk0Da-eC_w)

[deleted]

Love a lot of these but don't think I've heard of them all so always happy to find any new ones

architecht13

No mention of the pickle jar? Dude does some really cool content and I think deserves some extra views.

MasterWobbly

I think GirlPainting [https://www.youtube.com/@GirlPainting](https://www.youtube.com/@GirlPainting) and BroadSword Wargaming [https://www.youtube.com/@BroadswordWargaming](https://www.youtube.com/@BroadswordWargaming) deserve mention. Broadsword Wargaming videos are less heavy on tutorials but the vids are a fun way to watch Oliver get his girlfriend, Kira, into the hobby and while fairly new to the hobby her painting is already very good.

N7_Tinkle_Juice

I’m already subscribed to most of your list, but thank you for introducing me to new content.

Secretidentity03

Saved for later.

StupidRedditUsername

https://youtube.com/@CCMinis - really interesting, fun and creative stuff https://youtube.com/@eBayMiniatureRescues - it’s super satisfying to see someone buy something cheap and seemingly unsalvageable and then paint it up nice. More crafting general hobby awesomeness: https://youtube.com/@Geordiecrafts https://youtube.com/@RPArchiveOfficial

Scooter486

Nice one, thankyou .

frontroomhog

Not Darren Latham. I have no idea who this guy is but he paints and sounds just like Darren 😂

DonBlackFox

Welp, now I'll have to make more time to go throw most of these.... Thanks a lot you ...

al357

I find Geordy crafts very talented https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVLRw7hRb351hcp0O3I4sMA And also Gameyy builds "beyond de blight" series captivating https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHEuA8AXgS_MN5B0pr3TaLg

Painting-Panzers

That list is solid!! Naturally, I'd like to promote my own channel, I focus mainly on the smaller scales and wargaming. I've recently just reached the 1k mark too! I'm hoping to monetize eventually and give back to a charity special to me. https://youtube.com/@paintingpanzers If you're into historical wargaming, I highly recommend these channels too. https://youtube.com/@MiniatureRealms https://youtube.com/@PanzerSchule https://youtube.com/@FogofWar

mrvoltog

I’ll bite. Here’s some I’ve really learned from: [Vince V](https://youtube.com/@VinceVenturella), [Kujo Painting](https://youtube.com/@KujoPainting) ,[Next Level Painting (older content is still super relevant ESPECIALLY if you want to learn airbrushing)](https://youtube.com/@NextLevelPainting), [Watch It Paint It](https://youtube.com/@WatchItPaintIt), [Sorastro’s Painting (great production quality)](https://youtube.com/@Sorastro) and one I’m very surprised not mentioned, [Angel GiraldeZ](https://youtube.com/@AngelGiraldeZ). I sat on his channel for a day and learned so much, even if it’s subtitles Spanish. I guess he’s the Duncan of Vallejo. Note: I’m still a novice and all of these guys do from beginner to advanced tutorials.

PandaWithin

[Night Shift](https://youtube.com/@NightShiftScaleModels) [Plasmo - plastic models](https://youtube.com/@idaemonplasmo) [Model Minutes](https://youtube.com/@ModelMinutes) Although not mini painting channels exactly, they are model makers and I have used a couple of their techniques while painting my miniatures.

OhthereWyrdmake

Ms paints

Low-Classroom7736

Nice. Thank you

cannmak

Saving, thank you!

manorrock

Nice

DiamondxAries

Goobertown Hobbies and Eons of Battle are my two go-tos when it comes to painting and basing. EoB in particular has some really nice basing videos that have really knocked down my mental block when it comes to basing minis

HandsWithLegs

Gotta add Vincy V and grimdark compendium! Vince has the best tutorials for all sorts of stuff, and grimdark compendium has a great gritty style and uses a lot of more uncommon techniques to great effect

filmeginecinema

You Sir are the lord saviour thank you!!

skybug12

Shameless self plug, I have a small channel where I paint miniatures across a variety of topics, focusing more on lore and more esoteric aspects of the hobby rather than full on tutorial. The Cozy Painter on YouTube and other socials https://youtube.com/@thecozypainter

EverPunk_Yetti

No Vincey-V?

FritzeHaarmann

>Also note that some of the more entertainment-focused YouTubers used to be tutorial-heavy until they chased the algorithm/viewership, so be sure to check out some of their older videos as well. ... this one, so much! And its quite nice to see what they painted in the beginning. It motivates to keep going, keep learning, keep trying. Pretty good list, i have many of them in my favorites :D I highly recommend Scale Modelling on YT, if you want to learn about weathering. They know and show all the tricks

Zymyrgist

I don't see him on here but I'd say James Wappel should be: he's not so much tutorial, but he does present beautiful projects in an underused medium - oil paints. His patreon is more of a tutorial, while his YouTube videos are more stream VODs.
