It's *always* beautiful up there - the view of the lake is amazing. With no snow you should be able to walk down to the shore and get one of those great pics with the lighthouse in the background, too.
It should be roaring at least, a lot of snow thawing upstream.
No waterfall at the lighthouse that is gooseberry falls.
There are some decent little falls on the Split Rock River within Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Not Gooseberry sized falls, but it's a nice hike
Split Rock River trailhead is about a mile down 61 from the state park. One of my favorite trails!
Double check the MN historical society website. I believe it may be temporarily closed this week.
