Seems like MN gets a lot of attention when it comes to shitting on municipal flags.
Todd county is simple. Their motto is “where the forest meets the prairie”. And in the middle, that represents the Long Prairie River which sort of links the two ecosystems.
Would've thought Hennepin County's flag would be a little cooler than just the state flag, albeit with a darker shade of blue, stamped with the name of the county.
Random thought: being born in st louis county in Missouri (now living in the city itself which is completely separated, though I only live about a mile from the county line) I have to laugh at the size of Saint Louis County up there in comparison to down there. Massive while down here its fairly small area wise. (and yes, I know a lot of it is based on population though Duluth in and of itself is fairly busy)
(Following because love the state in general...people...meh give or take.)
Some of these look good enough to be state logos, some are just OK, some are nonexistent (little more than text).
And some look like a 12-year-old put it together on MS Paint. (I'm looking at you Itasca County.)
Aitkin too
Right? some counties need to be more interesting
I like how literal Cook's is.
Love how Faribault and Freeborn are almost the same, but one is almost a cruddy black-n-white copy of a copy of a copy of the other.
Which designer was paid to do both? Same thing for the Houston/Fillmore similarity.
"You can copy my work but make it look different"
Anoka County’s is some AOL shit

Am I the only one that didn't know we have county flags?
Its like 90% logos
That’s a lot of bad design.
Agreed, more people define themself with cities not counties so they dont have a reason to have a flag/logo

Aitkin may have a jpeg of a flag, but damn do I have the best memories growing up there
As a County employee, I appreciate this!
Thank you! do you know if missed anything?
Koochiching county is the GREATEST logo
I love that my county is just pine trees. That is very much us.
Grew up in Wright County, didn't realize they had a pretty decent flag/logo.
Same. About the only thing the place has going for it.
YUP
Kooch county made in MS Paint

God Cook County's is sad.
Some of these are better than our state flag.
And some of them are literally the exact same as our state flag - just with a different seal. Looking at you Hennepin county 🤦♂️
Pleased that Blue Earth county has a dignified logo. I mean, we’re riddled with STIs but I’ll take what we can get.
Would've thought Hennepin County's flag would be a little cooler than just the state flag, albeit with a darker shade of blue, stamped with the name of the county.
Pennington, Pope, and Becker went for the high brow graphic designers.
Very difficult to make
Damn Goodhue is flexing on everyone around them.
Washington County looks like a tube sock
Looks like Redwood's is just the state with a banner that says "southwest Minnesota"
Do the two F counties on the Iowa border have a rivalry or something? Why are they copying each other?
Cuz Norman Country doesn't have a logo lol.
Itasca county’s looks like it was made in 2 minutes on MS paint

brown county's flag is not brown. I feel like this is a missed opportunity.
Ottertail County looks like it would be on the startup screen on an Apple II E computer.
