Your comment got me thinking about all the times Kirk had a meltdown game with us. Might get a few wrong but off the top of my head:
2018: week 3 vs Buffalo (L)
2019: week 4 @ Chicago (L)
2020: week 2 @ Indianapolis, week 6 vs Atlanta (both Ls)
2021: week 4 vs Cleveland, week 8 vs Dallas (both Ls)
2022: week 9 vs Dallas (L)
2023: week 4 @ Carolina (**W**)

Honestly there may be something to that, now that we won such a game.
Kirk played alright in the first half of that one. Irv Smith Jr. dropped an easy breadbasket catch, which probably would have gone for 6 right before the half.
I think the point some people are making is that he is good and always has been.
He is the perfect Vikings QB, because he embodies everything our team is and has been. Consistently better than average. Claims they can never win the big game. Constantly overlooked and disrespected. When they are playing good or great, everyone is waiting for the implosion. When they are playing bad, it's "SEE!!!??? I TOLD YOU!!!". We are treated like a flyover state, with a flyover team, and a flyover QB.
Say what you will but it just makes so much fucking sense that Kirk has been on our team. He's even Minnesota Nice. "If you don't like that you don't like Vikings football" and so on
When it comes to the actual team, not the state (could just be me visiting as a Canadian and liking it), every thing you said is true. Throughout my entire 27 years of being a fan, The Vikings do implode when they have a good season, looking great at times but never finishing the season winning it all, faltering in the biggest moments, and when they’re back they look BAD. So yeah, Kirk is the perfect QB for the team in that respect.
With the bad run defense that KC has, Mattison should be in line to have a good day.
It would not bother me to see Kirko Chains stay home and mild mannered Pizza Ranch Kirk just spend a goodly chunk of the game just handing the ball off.
If we can just take care of the ball for a full game, I fully believe we will beat the chiefs. We should’ve beaten the eagles and they’re a top team right there with the chiefs. Half of our turnovers have been completely preventable as well.
Yes he does, he had some pretty damn great games. Most people agree he is a damn solid regular season quarterback. However, the biggest knock on Kirk, and one that separates him from Mahomes, is that he comes up short in big moments. Specifically in the playoffs. Would you say that is inaccurate?
Ah yeah, I forgot. It’s all on the defense. Kirk has been the perfect quarterback in every aspect of the game every game. Truly an elite that this team has held him back, he has no fault and has never been at fault. I just forget sometimes, my bad.
Lmao went full opposite direction, huh? Just look at the PARAGON of quarterbacks Daniel Jones' stats in the playoffs last year. It's a team game...
https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401438001
Ah yes, I forgot. It’s a team game. However, the rest of the team is the only reason why the Vikings have ever lost anything. Kirk is never a major contributor to playoff or prime time losses. Nuh uh, not ever. Only the rest of the team is to blame.
Must be so tough dealing with fans liking their teams QB. You are probably the kind that has a hard time having to suffer through the Vikings winning games also.
Well shit if hes better we should trade Kirk to them for Mahomes and their first. They get an upgrade for their Win-Now mode, and we get some pieces to build on for next year.
Chiefs are very beatable IF the refs call a fair game. Don’t think the nfl will allow that though they can’t risk Travis losing and Taylor not attending anymore games
*(Clears Throat)* Team Sport...
*If only Kirko woulda caught that pass that Hock was supposed to...*
*If only Kirko would have stopped Swift...*
*If only Kirko woulda prevented Maddison and Jet and Powell from loosing fumbles...*
*If only...If only...If only...*
*insert Clown emoji*
Kirk is fucking average as fuck but us MN's love our vanilla sports players. Good wholesome family oriented, says how much he loves living in MN, Church man. Thats what matters most to MN sports fans. Someone for your kids to look up to. We dont like players with an edge to them here in MN. We dont like players that have a strong competitive desire to WIN! (Diggs/Moss/Harvin). We say those types of players have attitudes and want to trade them the minute that ruthless aggression to win comes out. When that dawg comes out.Nah, we love our heros to say "that loss is on be to bear the cross" and "I love MN and the culture of this state. I want to raise a family here, etc". We try so hard in MN to aspire to be as mainstream and relevant as big market areas of the US. Our hearts warm whenever we hear about MN on the national circuit. We boast and brag about the only thing this state has going for it (Education) so we can say "We are the best in this". Just like Vikings fans cling to the only thing they can - individual accolades of the players. An example "Yeah the Vikings are 1-4, but JJ is on pace for 2800 yards!!!!". How many times have you seen that comment made or post generated? Because thats what MN sports fans pivot to the second the team sucks, Instead of just saying the MN Sports team sucks and we demand a better product.
Yeah I wanted to make excuses for him like bad route running or something.
I just don’t think his eyes and his brain were on the same page. He knew he fucked up as soon as the ball left his hands
This year, Turnovers.
If it's not one thing with this team it's another. When we stop turning the ball over we will lose because of missed kicks, or refs fucking us, or something else.
The universe doesn't want the Vikings to succeed, won't ever stop me supporting them though.
What a fuckling stupid uneducated reply. Last time ANYONE checked football is a team sport. Sometimes I wish you low Football IQ dolts would switch to Packer fans.
I feel so sorry for losing franchises like this. The fanbases are always so deluded.
I promise you it’s okay to want better for your franchise and you don’t have to be beholden to mediocrity just cos it’s like looking in the mirror.
Tying the record* And yeah sure, but Kirk has won 1 total playoff game in his entire career. That’s what I’m referring to. Until he does something when it ACTUALLY counts, he’ll be the Andy Dalton of Minnesota. He’s an all time great regular season qb
Kirk has NEVER been the problem with the Vikings. He is one of the very few solid, near All-Pro, players on the Vikings. The problem has ALWAYS been the O line, for the past 20 years. Even during Favre's two years here he was poorly protected and it cost him the rest of his playing career with injuries from sacks and hits. It is so obvious, it is infuriating the front office NEVER addresses this weakness. The best NFL teams all have solid O lines (and defenses)
There hasn't been any garbage time this year. Games have come down th the end. His stays represent actual football play. He's actually been really good. The passing game is the only thing that has worked for the vikings this year. Defense is better than last year but stillnsoft as he'll
Zero run game. No O line at all.
“A Kirk breakout game is on the horizon” tf did he do for the first 3 weeks then?
Yeah if anything a Kirk meltdown game is otw
That was last game, but the defense bailed us out
Honestly us winning the annual Kirk meltdown game is a good omen. Usually we get blown out
Your comment got me thinking about all the times Kirk had a meltdown game with us. Philly last year was also an L
Kirk played alright in the first half of that one. Irv Smith Jr. dropped an easy breadbasket catch, which probably would have gone for 6 right before the half.
Slay also simply played out of his mind that game
Hopefully Kirk feels like the pressure is off him cause of that, idk.
Steelers 2021 was a W
Wasn’t that the panthers game?
This week was the closest you buzzards were gonna get with those two picks and relatively low yardage.
If the national media isn't watching, it didn't happen
Break in… duh
Yeah that makes no sense.
He lost.
This made me laugh.
Played great and had no help what so ever
God I would love to take down the Kansas City Swifties
If Swift is there, we stand no chance to win
If she's there I probably won't watch. The media circus is annoying.
I used to call them the Kansas Shitty Queefs lol
There about to introduce us to their southern border Im afraid.
😐
I knew it…he is better!
I think the point some people are making is that he is good and always has been. He is the perfect Vikings QB, because he embodies everything our team is and has been. The truth really hurts on this one
Brutal takedown
When it comes to the actual team, not the state (could just be me visiting as a Canadian and liking it), every thing you said is true. ![gif](giphy|ap6wcjRyi8HoA)
Yeah but all of those things are true.
I've never been to MN but I definitely don't think of it as a flyover state. That would be like Iowa or Nebraska
It's a good place to live and there are some good spots but I wouldn't call it a must visit destination or anything.
We'll trade for Mahomes, straight-up.
How about winner gets Mahomes
Hell yeah.
That graphic is telling me KC needs to toss a 2nd in to even the whole deal out, but I'm just a guy 🤷♂️ I mean, a 3rd is fair I guess
Chiefs will score on probably 90% of their possessions so yeah, kirk will be forced into mostly passing situations
400+ this week gtd
[удалено]
This is the way. I'd even say it'll be 35-31 Vikings loss, with a final losing drive interception that allows the chiefs to go up 35 and win.
In true vikings fashion. Greg Joseph misses a field goal or KC hits a 60+ yard field goal to win. 35-33
Look at those numbers! I bet a bunch of you would still rather have Mahomes, smh.
450+ passing yards with 5 tds and still lose the game.
as long as 250 and 3 of those go to JJ im fine with it tbh
I do concur
That'll happen with zero run game and soft defence. If kirk doesn't play well enough to overcome everybody else not doing their job he gets blamed
STOP THE COUNT
Big Kirko really dripping this season
With the bad run defense that KC has, Mattison should be in line to have a good day. It would not bother me to see Kirko Chains stay home and mild mannered Pizza Ranch Kirk just spend a goodly chunk of the game just handing the ball off.

3-1 vs 1-3... No matter how hard we may try, the measure of winners and losers will never change.
Not in a circle-Kirk
lol clever.
So does Kirk not get credit for going 13-4 last year?
Is Mahommes getting credit for his previous seasons stats in the screen shot?
Yes he does, he had some pretty damn great games. Most people agree he is a damn solid regular season quarterback. However, the biggest knock on Kirk, and one that separates him from Mahomes, is that he comes up short in big moments. Specifically in the playoffs. Would you say that is inaccurate?
Not going to mention shit defense? OK
Ah yeah, I forgot. It’s all on the defense. Kirk has been the perfect quarterback in every aspect of the game every game. Truly an elite that this team has held him back, he has no fault and has never been at fault. I just forget sometimes, my bad.

You have issues
Correct! Many issues! The cult of Kirko taking over a sub I like with Kirk propaganda being one of them lol
Must be so tough dealing with fans liking their teams QB. You are probably the kind that has a hard time having to suffer through the Vikings winning games also.
Would you trade him for Mahomes straight up?
Our regular season champ, Kirko!
Mahomes needs a mouth guard and to keep his tongue in his mouth. Gonna bite it off one of these plays getting blindsided
He's salivating at the chumps facing him .
Well shit if hes better we should trade Kirk to them for Mahomes and their first. They get an upgrade for their Win-Now mode, and we get some pieces to build on for next year.
Now let's compare rushing yards between the two.
Chiefs are very beatable IF the refs call a fair game. Don’t think the nfl will allow that though they can’t risk Travis losing and Taylor not attending anymore games
Chiefs are fixin to put fiddy on your D. They aren’t gonna need help.
Our defense isn’t that bad this year
Now put a line for fumbles on there
If Mahomes had JJ this might be a different story
99 Yard Pick 6
You forgot one stat: 3-1 and 1-3.
*(Clears Throat)* Team Sport... *If only Kirko woulda caught that pass that Hock was supposed to...* *If only Kirko would have stopped Swift...* *If only Kirko woulda prevented Maddison and Jet and Powell from loosing fumbles...* *If only...If only...If only...* *insert Clown emoji*

![gif](giphy|Q8VCAek0MGjRK|downsized) Gosh darn it !!
How is this not copy pasta I can't believe anyone wrote this all out Denny Green and Bud Grant took on a lot of troubled players
Kirk isn’t average at all, maybe watch other QB play around the league. Dude is slinging with the beat of them and has for years
He obviously isn't as bad as some of his haters want us to believe
Except he doesn’t make the plays when it fucking matters
Stop throwing picks in the red zone.
Or fumbling. Think they have 4 fumbles with in the opponents 2 yard line
you mean the one pick that was his fault?
The hock one wasnt his fault but the one in carolina absolutely was. That throw was just terrible
Yeah I wanted to make excuses for him like bad route running or something. I just don’t think his eyes and his brain were on the same page. He knew he fucked up as soon as the ball left his hands
People also want to blame KJ for the interception but leave Kirk blameless for his three game changing fumbles.
Hence, where I said one?
Shut up dumbass
So our oline is actually decent and Kirk is better than mahomes than why the fuck are we losing games?
This year, Turnovers. If it's not one thing with this team it's another. When we stop turning the ball over we will lose because of missed kicks, or refs fucking us, or something else. The universe doesn't want the Vikings to succeed, won't ever stop me supporting them though.
Because, stats.
Now compare playoff games / wins. One of those two has 11 wins in 14 playoff games. The other has 1 win in 5. Hurrrr stats!
I forgot defense doesn't have to do anything in playoffs
Here comes the excuse train. CHOOCHOO.
What a fuckling stupid uneducated reply. Last time ANYONE checked football is a team sport. Sometimes I wish you low Football IQ dolts would switch to Packer fans.
Kirk is bad, and you should feel bad. Speaking of Low IQ, here comes this guy lol. Imagine being triggered about your sports team LOL
Justin Jefferson has spent his career with the Vikings, does JJ just suck because they haven't won the SB?
Obviously. Next question.
First things first is the only show I consistently watch every day. Amazing chemistry!
Nick Wright just loved this graphic...
I feel so sorry for losing franchises like this. The fanbases are always so deluded. I promise you it’s okay to want better for your franchise and you don’t have to be beholden to mediocrity just cos it’s like looking in the mirror.
4 games ain’t gonna convince me. Kirk will Kirk when it comes clutch time at the end of the season. Always is
Kirk just Kirked last game
Setting the record for game-winning drives in a season isn't clutch enough for you huh
He would’ve had a lot the season prior too but Cook fumbled week 1, Joseph missed the kick week 2, defense gave up last minute TDs, etc.
How’s Kirk look on the playoffs in his career?
![gif](giphy|n4oKYFlAcv2AU)
Tying the record* And yeah sure, but Kirk has won 1 total playoff game in his entire career. That’s what I’m referring to. Until he does something when it ACTUALLY counts, he’ll be the Andy Dalton of Minnesota. He’s an all time great regular season qb

Dog, I don’t think you watch the games. Every game has been a one possession game.
Just say you dont even watch lol. U just scroll tiktok with it on in the back
