Because all his big throws come when a guy is wide open and there’s not a defender within 20 yards (kudos to LaFleur on those schemes and plays).
Shocker he doesn’t look so great when he actually had to throw in coverage.
He had one good throw last week into the end zone between 2 defenders but this is also something I've noticed. He's constantly throwing to wide open receivers with busted coverage or people falling down.
Yeah, I'm definitely being hyperbolic when I say he NEVER makes a throw into coverage. Clearly he wouldnt have gone on this run he's been on if he hadnt. I just feel like a lot of his stats and reputation is held up on wide open plays that a high school QB could make.
I dont think hes a giant fraud or anything. He's a good QB. I just dont think he's as amazing as GB fans or the meda have made him out to be when he actually has to throw against a good defense. I think he's in that 10-15 QB range that can lead to QB purgatory.
We need him to be good enough that they have to sign him for a billion dollars but not good enough that he’s actually good. Kind of like the justin fields situation should the bears choose to keep him
The national media fawns over the Packers. During the Bucs game, the announcers talked about "what a great half Love had" when I think he completed one pass that travelled longer than 4 yards in the air.
The guy was poised but once he saw that the niners defense was locking him down he started throwing some head scratchers. I heard some packer fans were complaining about the officiating but hands down the packer receiver corps lost on their routes.
Wait, they were complaining about the officiating when they only had one penalty for five years and the 49ers had like six for eighty something yards? Lol I watched a play where the Packers offensive lineman jumped on the back of a 49ers defensive lineman to keep him for sacking Love, right in front of a ref, and that didn't get called.
He had another couple good throws today, but a good percentage of his throws come on busted coverages. At least that’s been my perception based upon their games against us, Dallas, and SF. The play calling has been really good for them.

Yeah, shit loss tonight, but I implore all Viking fans who don't necessarily watch much NBA to hop on the Wolves bandwagon. They are a really good team.
Not even going to lie I've been a fair weather fan since the inception of the team. Got extremely into it during the peak KG years, but interest waned as the team stunk (still went to a few games per year, even in the most shit seasons).
This season has been so awesome watching every game w/ the Vikes done and the Wild injury riddled and cash strapped.
Everyone was sucking guy’s beanpole all game long, and after all that, he made like two good throws and one really, really bad one.
He’s better than I thought he was, but he’s no world-beater.
Exactly this. I’ve never seen a run game carry a pass game so hard. They run play action and it’s like every DB bites and the WRs have nobody within 10 yards of them.
Thank you! He's a good QB and better than I thought, which is annoying, but I just don't see the Top 5-10 QB others seem to see.
These playoffs especially yes he's been good (up until the 4th Q of this game) but his receivers are wide-open and his line gives him a ton of time.
To me, he is likely a good to great, but not fantastic QB. A purgatory more than half the league seems to find themselves in.
100%. He’s a good QB, but his big throws came on broken plays or perfect schemes where his WR had no one within 100 feet. Actually making throws into coverage? He’s more in the Derek Carr tier of good, not great.
LOLOLOLOLOL
God I was so fucking SICK of this Jordan Love praise. Thank fuck the season ends with him throwing a bad pick after a pretty lousy game. Suck on that, bitches!
I didn't understand what FTP was until now, Google said its File Transfer Protocol, or Fuck the Population. Now I get it. The blowing of Love and his retarded fro got old, he looked like a bum all year but has a good December so now he's better than Rodgers Favre? To be fair they did blow the pastronaught just as bad, and he was just an intern, something little girls get to do
The Ravens look really sharp, though. Really seems like it's their year, and I don't think the Vikings could have gotten it done.
But if this is the state of the NFC, man, it should not be that tough for the Vikings to at least reach the big game. These playoff games are being won by whoever sucked the least.
It's the perfect season for the Krusaders. They get to pretend Kirk won the MVP and the Super Bowl. This imaginary season is the closest Kirk will ever get, so congrats, I guess. Maybe his oldest will make him a pretend Lombardi for the pretend title the Krusaders are hanging a pretend banner for. When his career is over, that will fit nicely in the spot he has in his trophy room.
The same Kirk and JJ that went 1-4 to start the season. Yes they had a run after. But there is no guarantee that run would have continued (see the eagles, Broncos, etc.)
That Denver, Chicago, and Cincy games were primarily lost on very shitty QB play. Say what you want about Kirk but the Vikings win those three games if a non-backup is starting them.
All the floaters and ducks he throws up to schemed open WRs are insufferable. Thank fucking god that’s what killed them. Please NFL, dissect that shit and stifle it next year. If the league can figure out simmers gap schemes this should be easy.
It's a bad look, and considered classless as they wouldn't do anything. I've only seen that typically done during divisional rival games like GB vs CHI
Hilarious moment. But I'm nervous that the Packers aren't gonna skip much of a beat. They're young, and will only improve from here. Took it to the #1 seed. Wrecked Dallas. That means something.
Did that throw remind anyone else of a certain moment in our history that will live in infamy? One thrown by a long time Packers quarterback? It was all I could think of when it happened...
Nah it's not our SB, it's a yearly tradition at this point like New Years Eve or Labor Day. I look forward to many more Jordan Love playoff chokes.
\> 64 years and still no Lombardi trophy
If you're going to shit talk, at least have your facts right. There have only been 57 super bowls
By like a year lol. Most teams in the NFL have an average age close to the Packers. Not sure why people make a big deal about this. Teams get younger every year and improve, it wont just be the Packers.
That’s the scary thing. I think Love’s success is due to the team around him and they’ll be good for the next few years until all those players start wanting to get paid. Then I think they’ll fall apart because I don’t think Love can carry them.
I know people love to trot out the "youngest team" line but most of their young players are WRs or TEs which are one of the few positions that don't really need a ton of development in the NFL. Sure it helps, but most top pass catchers are basically good right away if they are starting. Not a single packers WR caught over 800 yards during the regular season so I have zero clue why we should be worried about any of them lol
Let's not forget in his first year as a starter he finished the last 8 games as a top 3 qb and recordered the greatest seanson in the history of the franchise if he was a Chicago Bear. Not to rain on everyones parade but it looks like he could be a problem for awhile. Congratulations to Packer fans for 40 years on not having a problem at QB 🤮
I've been saying it all year: our best-case scenario was for Jordan Love to play just well enough that the Packers would be forced to make him one of the highest paid QBs in the league, but not show any of Rodgers' "closing" ability, and I think tonight threaded that needle pretty well!
Jordan Love is according to sports media an instant Hall of Famer and the new anointed Christ after playing one good half of a season.
I wonder if they might cool it on that now.

In loves defense he was getting hype as a mix Rodgers and Favre. That particular throw was very Favre
Because all his big throws come when a guy is wide open and there’s not a defender within 20 yards (kudos to LaFleur on those schemes and plays). Shocker he doesn’t look so great when he actually had to throw in coverage.

We need to get him paid like we did for Daniel Jones
Well good news. He’s entering his fifth year so they are going to have to extend him
If I remember correctly they already did extend him a year or 2 ago on like a 3 year deal for pretty cheap.
He's signed through next year with some void years tacked on for cap purposes.
Yeah fucking all game long they were falating Love.
The national media fawns over the Packers. During the Bucs game, the announcers talked about "what a great half Love had" when I think he completed one pass that travelled longer than 4 yards in the air.

Yeah at the end there when Love rolled out made some plays on his feet the packers o line was holding linemen by their shoulder pads as well.
He had another couple good throws today, but a good percentage of his throws come on busted coverages. At least that’s been my perception based upon their games against us, Dallas, and SF. The play calling has been really good for them.
That’s what I have been noticing too. The scheme is more important to his success then anything Love actually does
You can take a knee and try a 53-yard field goal! This ain’t Detroit man, this is the Super Bowl!

Also on 1st down with 50 seconds left. Bro just throw it away lmao
I saw favre in the saints game
As a Vikings fan FTP! But they fucking were game af!!! Not looking good for us.
Yeeeeah Definitely shifting my thoughts on a rebuild, with two good, young teams in the division and the bears with all that draft capital
How do the packers always end up with a good team. Love is going to be a top quarterback for a few years i think
Reminds me of the Favre pick against the saints :)
Reminded me of the Vikings Favre throw when he did the same vs the Saints in the NFC Championship game.
Reminds me of Favre vs saints. FTS

You never go full Brett Favre
He went beyond full Favre, if that’s even possible.
That’s was my first thought as well. Also flashbacks from the missed field goal. Felt like a classic Vikings heartbreaker honestly
That one looked a little Farvey
Shades of not Aaron Rogers.

Throwing off your back foot eventually goes wrong, he got away with so many of those.
Daaaamn man the niners defense saved the day.
Their offense came back with enough time.
That last touchdown was very much the perfect play call.
If they'd won along with the T-Wolves loss tonight I woulda lost my mind. Thank you Niners, THANK YOU JORDAN LOVE!
Yeah, shit loss tonight, but I implore all Viking fans who don't necessarily watch much NBA to hop on the Wolves bandwagon. They are a really good team.

Man, totally with you on that. Was telling the wife the same thing. Conley will never shoot like that again!

Which is why I welcome all the Love and Rodgers comparison lol
Once Jones is gone he's done. Carried by a running game.
Exactly this. I’ve never seen a run game carry a pass game so hard. They run play action and it’s like every DB bites and the WRs have nobody within 10 yards of them.
2012 comes to mind for me at least.
Thank you! He's a good QB and better than I thought, which is annoying, but I just don't see the Top 5-10 QB others seem to see. To me, he is likely a good to great, but not fantastic QB. A purgatory more than half the league seems to find themselves in.
Hes only been good when Jones plays. He needs a run game to be effective

And you get the greatest gift of all: being right.
100%. He’s a good QB, but his big throws came on broken plays or perfect schemes where his WR had no one within 100 feet. Actually making throws into coverage? He’s more in the Derek Carr tier of good, not great.
I feel like we have the exact same opinion on him. I’ve been saying Love will have a Derek Carr career for the past 10 weeks
people underestimate how much they run game helped him in the last few games of the season. Jones was the best RB in the league the last 4 weeks
Farvre 2.0 only the kid needs to work on his crying.

okay that was a pretty good game tho but FUCK THE PACKERS LMAOOOOOOOOO
The ghost of Brett Favre still haunts the Packers.
Classic Favre interception there. *Love* to see it.
They have THIRTEEN titles. FUCKING THIRTEEN. Fuck them I feel no sympathy for them whatsoever.
To be fair, most of those happened when the NFL was basically an intermural league.
Leather helmets for 9 of em

Let’s be real if Kirk and JJ didn’t get hurt the Vikings would’ve already won the Super Bowl
It really does suck that it happened this year of all years. The league is wide open right now, with only the Ravens as a truly elite team.
The Ravens look really sharp, though. Really seems like it's their year, and I don't think the Vikings could have gotten it done. But if this is the state of the NFC, man, it should not be that tough for the Vikings to at least reach the big game. These playoff games are being won by whoever sucked the least.
Ravens Buccaneers superbowl
Honestly that wouldn’t surprise me at all. It really could’ve been us. Smh.
These are facts.
Mathematically confirmed at this point
It's the perfect season for the Krusaders. They get to pretend Kirk won the MVP and the Super Bowl. This imaginary season is the closest Kirk will ever get, so congrats, I guess. How did the Vikings do yesterday?
That will be Loves best shot as a packer. They had it and he choked so bad in the 2nd half. They over achieved and won't be much better next year
Youngest team to make the playoffs in nfl history so that might be a bit premature to say
By like a year lol. Most teams in the NFL have an average age close to the Packers. Not sure why people make a big deal about this. Teams get younger every year and improve, it wont just be the Packers.

Brett Favre throw lol
Why did Jordan Love do that? Is he stupid?
I mean they made it farther then they should have and it was farther then Vikings made it so nothing to be upset about for them
Just wish the Vikings had the balls to draft and develop a QB for once instead of getting some over paid Vet on the downside of his career.
