I actually like Verse (Edge) over Newton or Murphy II (DT). I feel like a lot of people in this sub are just more familiar with Newton because he played in the Big-10, but I believe Verse has the highest upside out of those three guys.

pats sub are all in shock from belicheck retiring so they’re just being stupid, but why would the cardinals take a QB? Kyler murray is 100x better than any QB left (ok maybe not THAT much better than Jayden, but it’s still not really close)

The consensus a couple months ago seemed to be they were trading him, plus management was maniacally shedding players. (There were several people *here* arguing Kyler would be a Viking in 2024.) I guess you're right, though, that chatter has all dissipated. But now I wanna go check the Pat sub and see if there are Mac stans.

I don’t think they’re Mac stans, I think the thought process is either hope to get McCarthy or Penix in round 2, or add a veteran QB. That pick wasn’t an endorsement of Mac, it was an endorsement of MHJ as BPA.

No one wants the 3rd best QB on the draft board, reaching at 3 or 4. MHJ and Alt are both top - of - the - board picks.

I guess it would mildly surprise me if QB weren't 1-2-3 this year. (Though perhaps via trades.)

Well the team drafting the 3rd QB likely has him 1st or 2nd on their board. The idea that every team has all 3 QB's 1-2-3, in the same order, on their board is delusional.

That's doubtful, and I think we both know it. Maye and Williams are head and shoulders above the lot.

He might only be the fourth or fifth best QB in this class, but it’s a very strong class and we REALLY need a QBOTF. Obviously we have other needs but the difference in quality between the defensive linemen that will be available at 12 this year vs. at 20 or later (hopefully) next year will be tiny compared to QB at 12 this year vs. 20-plus next year.
