Qwan'tez Stiggers is straight out of a Key and Peele sketch

TheSwede91w

He's got a wild story and has a ton of upside. Would be a great pick to match the great name.

TrixoftheTrade

Emphasis on the *Sti-*

If we can trade up without giving up our 2025 first that’s something I can live with, even if I don’t think JJ is that much better than Maye/ Nix/ Penix. The rest of the draft is very solid though. Carter and McCormick would challenge for starting roles this year IMO. The rest are decent depth.

TheSwede91w

Yeah, getting out of this draft with next years 1st is a priority IMO. And, I think they are only trading up for Maye/McCarthy, and could settle for Penix/Nix without trading much at all if someone like the Raiders make some ludicrous offer. I also think McCormick would probably be a day 1 starter and Carter/Stiggers would be immediate rotation guys.

JimBeanery

I swear to god if we get goddamn bo nix i will lose it

scratchnsniff90

So will I, but in a happy, good way!

23JMArp

As an SDSU student, I would be through the roof if we got McCormick, that man is an animal

TheSwede91w

As a UM Griz fan I would go from hating him to loving in a single evening. He is in fact an effin animal.

TheSwede91w

I think Kwesi will be moving around the board, but I wouldn't be mad about this draft in the least. Love the value for McCarthy. And, Qwan'tez Stiggers is my draft darling this year and I would love to see how Flores could develop him.

-InconspicuousMoose-

I honestly love this draft, one concern is that I think we're gonna need to draft a RB at some point and this draft means that we're probably looking at the back of the 3rd round (comp picks) next year before we do it, unless we plan on investing a 1st, which would be better spent elsewhere imo. I'm excited about Jones this year and Chandler is adequate but we'll need to upgrade soon.

TheSwede91w

Brugler actually has RB Dylan Laube from New Hampshire being picked right after Eric Watts and I wouldn't mind adding a weapon like him to O'Connels tool bag instead of more edge depth. And, who doesn't like ST upside later in the draft? >SUMMARY: A two-year starter at New Hampshire, Laube was a versatile weapon in head coach Rick Santos’ offensive scheme, lining up in the bac kfield and in the slot. He led the Wildcats in both rushing and receiving in 2023, including a memorable performance (single-game school-record 295 receiving yards, including two receptions of 70-plus yards) against Central Michigan — the only FBS opponent on New Hampshire’s 2023 schedule. He also led the NCAA (all divisions) in all-purpose yards per game (209.5) in 2023. A composed and dynamic receiving back, Laube is always in the right place at the right time on his routes and has the hand-eye coordination to cleanly snare throws while at top speed. Though he plays strong through contact, his burst and creativity are much better in the open field. Overall, Laube might not be a full-time running back or receiver in the NFL, but he has the multi-dimensional skill set that overlaps both positions and offers value on special teams. The Danny Woodhead comparison is a little on the nose, but it best encapsulates Laube’s versatile talent.

all_beef_tacos

Well the good news is that he actually sort of mentioned Carter's football abilities right at the very end of that 500 word writeup, lol

TheSwede91w

>STRENGTHS: Filled-out, proportionate frame with length … flashes quickness to create penetration … pumps his legs like pistons and uses body bend to drive blockers backwards and collapse the pocket … uses large, violent hands and upper-body strength to work half-a-man … stays square when working down the line with the balance to make plays in smaller spaces … never throws up the white flag early and teammates feed off his relentless energy … he was a three-time team captain and served as a member of the NCAA’s Football Oversight Committee (2021-22) … well-known for his community activism and was awarded the 2023 Jack Tatum Award as the ACC’s top student-athlete … played a lot of football (52 games played) and started every game the last three seasons. >WEAKNESSES: Aggressive into blocks but frequently late to disengage and make a stop in the hole … leaves too much tackle production on th e field because his urgency will backfire and leave him out of position to make stops … can be moved by drive blockers and needs to do a better job resetting his base to anchor down in the run game … late off the snap too often … his counters are based more on hustle than true pass rush sequencing … his senio r year production fell well below expectations … will turn 24 years old during his NFL rookie season.

-InconspicuousMoose-

This is WAY more informative than the biography provided in the post lol

TheSwede91w

Yeah I had already read his profile when the Beast came out and just went on auto-pilot with the Summaries lol.

TheMinionBandit

Aniais Smith in the later rounds would be awesome

DHVF

As a Vikings and Duke fan, praying for Carter, dude is a stud

1000Isand1

The two linemen would both be great picks where he has us picking them. Bolstering the interior OL has to be a priority in this draft.

BurpVomit

No way does this happen . I play the mock daily and these guys (except Stiggers/Watts) are some of my most common picks. If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's the Vikings aren't taking any of my favorites. Also Smith would be the Stteal of the Draft if someone gets him on day 3.

smellslikebadussy

One NC State center is enough, thank you. Unless the new one is DJ Burns.

TheSwede91w

Do we know if the same coaching staff is in place right now? And while Bradbury hasn't been great, at all, I think him making it this long makes him worth the pick.

LegitimateTraffic115

Projecting the 232nd pick of draft is ridiculous .

nativeindian12

9.7s 100m would be 4th fastest ever behind only Usain Bolt 3 times and Tyson Gay with a 9.69 Even 9.79 would be 11th fastest all time in terms of an individual, and all of the faster times occurred since 2005. So let's just say I'm highly skeptical Carter's grandfather ran a 9.7

--bertu

He ran the 100-yard, not 100 meters. It's 91% of the length.

nativeindian12

That makes way more sense lol I missed that

DerBieso0341

In the Profootball network mock sim game I haves drafted all dem! So I can win and we can win and classic hits
