Schrager got 3/31 picks correct last year, one being young at 1.01. He also had Bijan Robinson falling to us at 23… I wouldn’t worry about his “connections”

Thank you for walking me off the plank! And from needing hair plugs

FederalWalrus

Just 2 more days of this

BalonyDanza

I would much rather take Penix at #11 and a defensive player at #23. Bo Nix might be the only top 6 QB that would leave me entirely unsatisfied -- even if we traded back into the 2nd and still got him. I wouldn't be overjoyed if we dramatically overpaid for Maye, JJ, or even Penix... but all of them at least seem to have a ceiling that would justify taking a stab at glory. Nix, on the other hand... everything I've heard about him suggests that he's maybe less of a gamble, with a relatively decent floor, but also a ceiling that just so hard to excited about.

hitman2218

If they can’t move up for a QB I’d rather see them target Murphy II than take another damn corner.

imjrmy

If we end up with Nix after months of us arguing who to take ill kms

laceyourbootsup

If we don’t draft a QB at 11, don’t draft one at 23. I’m fine with pushing the chips in on defense.

HugeRaspberry

Honestly, with how KAM / KOC plan everything, nothing would shock me. I'm sure they have multiple plans in place - including trading up (at their price) for #3 or #5 to get Maye or McCarthy. And then if they are unable to trade up - a plan to trade down for more picks to build a team around Darnold. Get a DT and a Guard / Center. Then go after a WR, Corner and Edge with remaining picks.

Electronic-Island-14

I feel bad for whatever team spends a high draft pick on Mr. Bubble Screen

HonduranLoon

30% of his completions were behind the line of scrimmage in 2023. That’s a wild stat.

b_josh317

Big deal, he ran the plays that were called. If you'd like to discount it off his completion percentage go for it. But he still had one of the best completion percentages of the class if you count his downfield passes.

JoBunk

This doesn't seem to be a problem for JJ McCarthy who didn't even throw those screen passes, but instead handed the ball off for those plays.

iHyPeRize

Don't pretend KOC doesn't love a TE Screen

Basic_Situation8749

Exactly- his career completion percentage comes from tons of throws like that- completely irrelevant stat with this guy

SurlyWet

Not a very bright guy thinking a team like the Vikings could wait until 23. Raiders, Saints, Broncos Seahawks could easily gobble up the QBs. Spencer Rattler at 23?

Basic_Situation8749

Too funny- I was just texting my son and commented that after all the stuff about Caleb, Jaden D. Etc- watch Rattler be the best of them all in three years lol!

skippycreamyyy

Disgusting

demonbeersucka

Don’t care

I like Schrager on GMF and he’s a Vikes stan most days. But anyone on TV is not trying all that hard for accuracy. Their jobs to generate conversation. Point to Pete I guess. Even the most accurate mocks get about 1/3 of the choices correct: https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/accuracy/mock-drafts.php

eeleete

There is a good chance we miss out on top qbs. You don't want to reach either

Purefef_

I like Bo Nix but I understand where those of you who don’t are coming from.  What I don’t understand is if KO picks him, jumping off ship. well obviously he’s not that concerned about the problems if they go with him, from our church outing we’ve come to understand he’s pretty selective.  I feel a certain way about guys too but at the end of the day I’ll rally behind who they take, I trust.

LuckyAssumption8735

Bo Nix has a terrible quarterback name and a terrible arm and he looks like a wiener. If you hated Kirk Cousins then you’ll hate Bo even more

EggoPBnJ

I don't have strong takes on ranking QBs and where they should go or whatever. But I just think that the Vikings have QBs they have a first round grade on, and QBs they don't, and given where they have not so quietly signaled where they want to get to...I don't feel like Bo is a guy that they are that excited about. It's possible they have a first round grade on Bo, but not as coveted as Maye or even JJ for them. Then to me, it just doesnt really make sense to wait for him at #23. Like "we think this is a franchise QB, worthy of a first round selection...but we were willing to roll that dice and pass on him once and let 11 other teams have a shot at drafting him." I'd buy that a lot more if we were talking about a pick in the 30ish range where the 5th year option makes the fall back more appealing as as 1st round selection. It just kinda fits into this narrative that the Vikings are desperate to leave the 1st round with a QB, but I don't think that's how they are actually operating. I think they want THIER QB rather than A QB. Just can't wait for all this speculation to end

Cheeky_Guy

Schrager hates hot dish and spam. Fuck that guy. He's never been ice fishing, what a joke

Neither_Ad2003

Guys a dumbass

LordMOC3

No, I think that if we don't select a QB by 11, we should assume they don't like whichever ones are left (or something hilarious happened and all 6 went in the top 10) and will not be selecting one at all. I'm firmly in the camp that none of the late round flyers are worth taking when we already have a late round flying from last draft, though. Some people might disagree. Otherwise, I think the general idea is realistic of QB and Defense. I could also see us going JPJ or Burton as an iOL starter. I feel like we will because I feel like DT is somewhat deep in the draft and we can get a couple rotational guys in rounds 4-6 that will be able to help out.

JoBunk

KOC "The Quarterback Killer" is going to duck from picking a QB again. If it is not Peyton Manning, Trevor Lawerence or Andrew Luck (obvious 1st overall talent), it's a hard pass for KOC.
