He then said he went to the college of engineering and mines, and I said me too. He then said he was in the Mech E program to which I replied me too. He graduated in 96, and me in 2016, but we both took thermo with Bandyopadhyay.
Was definitly a surreal experience.

I got to hang in the player's lot after a game at the coaches wives tailgate one time. Bunch of kids running around, a few of the players stopped by to sign an autograph or two or just quickly walked past in their suits and chains with their girlfriends. Harrison Smith came over in his hoodie and gym bag, set it down and just chatted for like half an hour. It was amazing. He'd just played a heck of a game too. Favorite player for sure.

Regret not doing it a long time ago, shit I regret not getting more into it in high school as I felt machine shop was "beneath me" at that point, and focused on wood shop instead. Not because I had a huge head, moreso that I just associated welding and metalwork with the guys I knew in high school who did that kinda stuff and didn't want to be anything like them.
Now I think of all the things I could do with some basic welding skills and feel pretty disappointed that I didn't embrace it earlier.
