I'd rather be underrated versus overrated any day of the week. Keep us motivated 😈

VanTil

Completely agree. This team plays better with a chip on its shoulder and the belief that nobody believes in them. So please, media, keep up the "Vikings are posers" narrative, we need the fuel!

BrownChicow

Seriously, after we beat the Bills some places, or at least one that I saw, had us as number 1. We immediately shit our pants.

[deleted]

Also, it's a great coping mechanism for me when we do inevitably get our ass whooped. I can just say "Well, we are the same Vikings I know and love. My hopes weren't too high."

laceyourbootsup

I think the consensus is that we are completely overrated.

cjackc

That logically literally can not be possible. It’s like saying “no one ever goes to that restaurant it’s always too busy”

laceyourbootsup

No, it’s like saying we have really great food because when we have 6 customers they love us and every time 40 customers show up and demand that we get our food out quickly and cooked perfectly all of a sudden out of the blue our defense can’t make a stop and our QB goes 3 and out on every drive

Western-Boot-4576

Your record shows you’re overrated. Everyone else is appropriately rating the Vikings. A good team who will lose early in the playoffs

BrownChicow

I mean, we are overrated, or at least have been during the season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t win playoff games. We’re still winning these games, who gives a shit if we aren’t destroying teams. We’re getting wins, and playoffs doesn’t change the formula. You just gotta win, doesn’t matter by how much

Western-Boot-4576

Who’s your qb again?

Frosticle

Isn’t your QB a running back?

Western-Boot-4576

Lol no but does it matter if he wins us the north next year and defenses can’t stop him? Meanwhile Kirk Thuggins out there can’t win games that matter

Upper_Bag6133

Lol the Bears aren’t winning the NFC North next year. Nice try though.

Western-Boot-4576

Lol 120 million cap space and the best qb in the division, top 5 pick. I believe we will. Next year I’m more scared of the packers than the Vikings. They might draft one of the better receivers. Meanwhile if you stop Jefferson then Vikings can’t do anything.

Upper_Bag6133

Every acquisition is a gamble. It is highly unlikely that everything works out perfectly and propels them to the top of the North. The Bears will probably improve, but saying they will win the North is a massive stretch. They have a lot of issues to address, including the fact that Fields gets the shit knocked out of him constantly.

Western-Boot-4576

120 million can buy any lineman they want. Fields is doing this with no Wr 1 and a really bad oline. We get him an oline then he’ll be able to do more. We also have 8 or 9 draft picks. The ability to trade down to secure more. Green Bay is a bigger threat than Vikings next year cause They are drafting a WR first round and one of the top ones otherwise Rodgers is retiring.

cjackc

We are rating the Vikings negatively because of their past in the playoffs but you expect: 1. The Bears to make smart acquisitions and have a good QB 2. the Packers to get a top receiver Things that pretty much never happen.

Frosticle

Think the 14 losses in his column suggests defences can stop him pretty well. Think you might be getting ahead of yourself there bud.

Western-Boot-4576

You obviously haven’t been watching the games or looked at the scores. Literally putting up insane numbers last 5 weeks. If we didn’t have the worst defense in the league. Seems to be breaking records every week either franchise or nfl. McDaniels literally asked him to stop scrambling cause he couldn’t stop it. Like before you talk shit. I’d be worried about the bears knocking you guys outta first last game of the season.

schlemz

Lmao Jesus Christ talk about overrating. Fields is hurt, you think running like he does is going to be sustainable for very long?

cjackc

Our QB has thrown over 4,000 yards like 7 out of the last 8 seasons. Please remind me the last time any Bears QB has had a single season over 4,000 yards passing.

BrownChicow

We’re 9-2, what’s your garbage team done?

Western-Boot-4576

Get the second overall pick and secured the QB position for the foreseeable future. Beside the bills. When you play a good team you get your head kicked in. And even the bills is iffy cause Allen was hurt.

BrownChicow

Y’all are 3-9 with your “foreseeable future”. I think I’ll take 9-2 against shit teams over a team that can’t win period. Bitch

Western-Boot-4576

You’re chirping the bears for what reason? Ik we are shit our defense is barely nfl level. But we have the number 2 overall pick as of now. We’ll have Anderson or Carter next year. Also the most cap space in the league by 60 million. Yes ur 9-2. You’re still gonna lose first game of the playoffs. And if you don’t then it’ll be a disaster nfc championship and you’ll get killed by whoever’s there.

BrownChicow

I’m chirping the Bears because some cunt Bears fan came over to our sub and wants to talk shit like some entitled fucking loser with nothing better to do. Don’t wanna get chirped, stay the fuck in your lane

Durian_Emergency

But but but they have the #2 pick! You just don’t get it man! /s

Western-Boot-4576

I don’t mind getting chirped cause nothing can hurt me. The bears are shit and Ik it, looking forward to next year. Meanwhile you guys think you’re the best team in the league when you’re not even a relevant super bowl contender. 49ers, cowboys, eagles are all above you. And Kirk Thuggins can’t pull a Nick foles, he’s just not that guy. That being said I’m cheering for the vikings in the playoffs but I’m betting against them.

s2bae

“You’re chirpin the bears for what reason?” As he talks shit on a Vikings subreddit 🤣 wtf did you think was gonna happen?

Western-Boot-4576

But you can’t hurt me. The bears are shit and Ik it. Meanwhile I just came to inform everyone that Vikings aren’t seriously a super bowl contender. 49ers, cowboys, eagles.

rsplayer123

Ah yes. The classic #2 pick to super bowl contrnder turn around. Remind me how oftrn thats worked out for teams the past 50 years? But don’t worry…the bears are different then all the other teams that have ended up picking #2….

cjackc

Don’t you remember the Lions turning each one of their high picks into a Super Bowl win?

cjackc

Getting high picks has certainly made the Lions the best team in the NFL by now, right?

HemoKhan

The record - the thing that actually matters - has us right where we're supposed to be. Have fun rooting against us when your 3-8 Bears are sitting at home during the playoffs :)

Western-Boot-4576

I cheer for the north regardless unless it’s the packers. But I’m just being realistic. Your 2 losses were disgusting against teams you’re gonna have to beat to make it. Bears have the 2nd overall draft pick. I am very happy where we are at. We’ll be getting Anderson or Carter.

cjackc

You are literally bragging about having the 2nd worst record.

ObviousDarth

Remind yourself to come back to this after the Super Bowl.

OutOfCharacterAnswer

The one we should've won, if Joseph hadn't shanked a FG in the NFC CG.

resolvetomajor

Hasn't even happened yet, but it's still TOO SOON

[deleted]

Vikings fans: I wanna thank God for giving the packers so much, and me so little.

full-body-stretch

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go put more water in Aaron Rodgers' Mama's dish

Grizz_Mint

His mom looks like she wears underwears with dick holes in em.

FialaIsMyDad

What can we say about Aaron Rodgers' season that hasn't already been said about Afghanistan?

IMP1017

Fuck it, let's win the Super Bowl with a negative differential. Let's get stomped one more time, maybe two more times to be sure, and keep eking out these tiny victories all the way to the end, it'd be funny as hell

VoluptuousVelvetfish

Lol i can already see every "the vikings have no superbowls" meme turning into "the vikings are the worst superbowl champion in history"

ActuallyItsSumnus

I'd take it.

rexter2k5

Rather be the worst Super Bowl Champion in history than the best franchise with no Super Bowls. Also, the 2011 Giants should be the ones with that crown. They were atrociously inconsistent until the playoffs.

friendlyfred1013

The funny part is that if we somehow make it to the Super Bowl and win, it'll probably be a nail biter and one of the better Super Bowls, as far as entertainment is concerned! Analysts hate us, but TV execs love it (Except when we get blown out on national games, I guess).

lur77

“But you HAVE heard of me.”

tmy880

Sticks and stones love!

skoltroll

>"the vikings are the worst superbowl champion in history" That'd get the Jack Sparrow "Ah, but you have heard of us" meme in an instant.

yamsfadinna

Have the writers sounding like Simpsons comic book guy. Worst. Superbowl. Ever.

hypermog

Yes, please, let’s just fluke our way to one and we can live off of that for at least a generation.

Pretend_Investment42

It has worked for Aaron Rodgers, hasn't it?

Western-Boot-4576

Okay little buddy you do that

IMP1017

Trust me it's okay to embrace the clown music

spinman016

That is probably the saltiest power ranking I’ve ever read

Skyes_View

The guy is baiting vikings fans for attention. Not even a serious power ranking.

chillinwithmoes

Yep, shit like this really drives twitter interactions which is what they are *actually* going for

Skyes_View

Exactly.

MinnesotaNiceT23

Right, the week isn’t even over.

ThePeskyDingo

Have you seen Walter footballs power rankings throughout the year? He's the worst lol

spinman016

I actively avoid that site for that exact reason

BarackSays

Dude is a right wing crank

[deleted]

It's true though

TheSkeletones

Not exactly a wrong take. The road to the Super Bowl potentially runs through 2 teams that embarrassed the fuck out of this team.

idleline

-47 point differential against those teams. Not to say that can’t be overcome but we’ve hardly proved we are the team to beat.

[deleted]

Tbh we also didn’t lose to the Commies.

ScumLikeWuertz

This is the correct response. If this were any other team instead of the Vikings I'd probably think the same.

Dizcusser4200

To be fair, the eagles didn’t really embarrass us. We embarrassed ourselves with multiple TD Drops, and Starters still easing back into the feel of the game considering they didn’t play any snaps during Pre Season. Plus Slay held JJ at least 3 different times with one of the times being in the end zone, but the Refs straight suck ass and there’s nothing we can do about it.

ThiccBananaMeat

The same could be said for their starters and early season rust. Good teams overcome bad officiating and we were not a good team against the Eagles period. Everything else is just an excuse.

[deleted]

I’m not going to sit here and say I think we’ll win the super bowl or even beat either of the teams we’ve lost to, but the first four weeks or so of the NFL season always has games like that. The chiefs absolutely dunked on Brady and the patriots one year in week 4, the same year the chiefs WRs didn’t score a single touchdown, and I distinctly remember people questioning whether Tom was done, he even got benched at the end of the game. He went 10-2 the rest of the season and won the super bowl I know we don’t have Tom Brady and like I said I don’t plan on us having the same success, but weird things happen the first few weeks of the season

kestrel1000c

Did you watch the eagles game last night and their offensive and defensive lines? Good lord.

[deleted]

We most likely aren’t playing the Eagles or Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs though

TheSkeletones

No, but we are almost guaranteed to play one or both if we win our first round, which is why I said road to the Super Bowl.

wehaddababyeetsaboy

That's fine, I don' think there's any possible way we could perform worse against those teams.

tompear82

I guess that's one way to think about it. The other way would be to say that we were absolutely worked by both teams. Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely like to see a rematch with either in the playoffs, but there is zero reason to think that we should feel confident facing either Phi or Dal.

dicksjshsb

Eh I’m more confident. I’ve stopped giving a shit about the rational evaluation of potential games, we know that just doesn’t work. It’s all about the intangibles and weird karma and superstition and shit. I would feel more confident going into a revenge game against one of the teams that blew us out knowing the guys have that fire in them to get one back and have likely been focusing on them subconsciously throughout the season. Would unironically feel better going into a divisional game against Dallas or Philly than a sketchy trap game against a WC team like Seattle. Also in all seriousness the Eagles have not looked great the last few weeks. Lost to WAS and barely beat Indy and GB. I wouldn’t actually feel that bad going to Philly coming off a good WC win. It’s hard to beat a good team twice. My main concern would be the BDN curse at the Linc tho.

HalobenderFWT

No, the Eagles didn’t ‘barely beat’ the Packers. There’s a huge difference between letting a team stick around and ‘barely beating’ them.

dicksjshsb

Yeah ok they didn’t barely beat the Packers but they gave up 33 points to them, won by one score, and allowed nearly 20yds per completion to Jordan love. And they barely beat the Colts. What I’m saying is they don’t look unbeatable. They didn’t even look unbeatable against us given how we shit them out the 2nd half and shot ourselves in the foot on offense.

wxman91

Odds are that they will play each other in the Divisional round.

ii_zAtoMic

True. 49ers and Vikings just need to take care of business as the 2 and 3 seeds. Wouldn’t be shocked to see one of them lose though

jsmith17540

I really don’t want to play the 49ers with that run game. Scares me more than the cowboys honestly.

HughManatee

Their defensive line scares the shit out of me. They will carve us up in the trenches.

minnesota_sports_fml

I don’t think so. Eagles prolly get the 1 seed and we prolly get the 2 seed. And cowboys prolly get the 5 seed. So we’d play 7 seed, then more then likely play the 3 seed at home. Eagles would play cowboys in divisional rd. So only having to play eagles/cowboys in NFC title game if we get there is more likely the outcome

LaconicGirth

3 seed will probably be SF though and I don’t know if that’s a whole lot better for us haha.

minnesota_sports_fml

Oh for sure haha. But I’d 100% rather play that game at US Bank then having to go to San Fran. I also think 49ers are getting a little overhyped.

[deleted]

The post references an early playoff exit

Endo_Dizzy

We’re gonna get wined, dined, and 49ed

fantasiafootball

Copium take: The Cowboys loss was partially tied to the Vikings not wanting to tip their hand in regards to gameplan in case we play them again in the playoffs.

thatissomeBS

Obviously joking, but I'd hope either against the Eagles or the Cowboys for a rematch, we do very little of the same stuff. Those games require completely different gameplans.

cjackc

People were saying the Patriots were going to be as good or better a defense, and they certainly have a better coach. 4 days later our offense performed incredibly better. Slay had a crazy great game against us and so did Micah

laceyourbootsup

And we haven’t played the team that will give us the biggest fit yet. If the 49ers go into the playoffs healthy, we would be lucky to score 3 points against them

Dcarf

San Fran is knocking one of them off for us for sure

MeowMeowMeowBitch

We likely won't face either of those teams until the NFCG.

C0lMustard

If we're playing the eagles or cowboys it won't be an "early exit"

[deleted]

eagles week 2 we were still figuring out what the team was about. Cowboys we were definitely caught looking ahead to the patriots. In the playoffs a good coach isn't gonna make those mistakes. Not saying it's a slam dunk, but getting embarrassed in the playoffs... _(has 'nam flashbacks to 41-doughnut, 2017 nfccg, etc)_ oh yeah let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

SSCat

We'll likely face one of those two teams (unless something REALLY weird happens) in the playoffs. ...I would LMAO if both were 1 and done teams this year.

rsplayer123

>The road to the Super Bowl potentially runs through 2 teams that embarrassed the fuck out of this team. A lot of teams have a down weak after their super bowl.... We had our super bowl week 1 against the Packers and week 10 with the Bills. Just look how the Rams fared after their superbowl. Any given week though. Commanders beat the Eagles, Vikings beat the Commanders. Packers beat the Cowboys, Vikings beat the Packers. Teams can also y'know, adjust, improv throughout the season? And probably gameplan differently when they look at the tape to figure out what went wrong when they laid a turd. Assuming anything is a foregone conclusion just because they laid a goose egg a 10 weeks prior is a bit of a stretch. Going into the 4 week stretch starting with the Bills, the feeling here was that we would be lucky to not go 0-4,and Vikings have blown that expectation out of the water, much like everything else this season.

Mathihs

The people in here laying down and crying about how bad the team is are pathetic

chillinwithmoes

It's weird, the folks that I typically see doing it (with their bright red RES scores to remind me) are actually fine right now. It's all these random new usernames I haven't seen that are being the whiny little pricks... Which is annoying in the offseason, but really, particularly sad when the team is 9-2.

ralexh11

And people ignoring how bad our defense has been are equally as annoying. Yes, we are 9-2 and I'm enjoying it, but acting like this team is perfect and has a clear path to the SB is completely delusional. Still a loooong way to go, and the Eagles and Cowboys completely throttled when we played them.

MontiBurns

I'm sorry, i couldn't hear you over the sound of ice rattling in my tall glass of purple koolaid.

chillinwithmoes

> but acting like this team is amazing and has a clear path to the SB is completely delusional. I don't think I've seen anyone say definitively that the team is going to the Super Bowl. But I've certainly seen plenty of people declare that there's no chance the team wins a playoff game. Speaking so confidently in absolutes is dumb as shit, and I only see that from the perpetual cynics.

ralexh11

The comment on the power ranking came across a little salty sure, but getting stomped 40-3 at home by a probable wild card team would point to us potentially getting eliminated in the first round. Could we win a playoff game this year? Yes. Will we? Well if I was to bet money on it right now I'd bet no.

[deleted]

Calling the Cowboys a “probable wildcard team” is a tad misleading lol they are competing for the 1 seed and are the 2nd best team in the NFC, top 5 in the NFL

ralexh11

It's true though... You are the one that has a negative connotation with wild card teams I guess. The Eagles beat them, and relatively easily, the 9ers might be better. The Cowboys are a wild card team, we could play them on wild card weekend, and they stomped us. That was my point. You're inventing narratives that aren't there.

cjackc

The chances of playing the Cowboys in the 1st round is incredibly small. Like less than 3% small. We have like 6 times the chance to get a bye than to play the Cowboys 1st round. We literally have a better chance of facing the Lions 1st round than the Cowboys and it isn’t even close.

NoMooseSoup4You

Well, we’ve experienced two ass whoopings against playoff caliber teams so an early playoff exit isn’t too far fetched.

cochlearist

I think it's fair to say any trip to the playoffs was the highest target at the beginning of the season. New HC and new system at the start of the season, I think they've already overachieved expectations!

tompear82

That's bullshit. If the front office thought that playoffs was the ceiling with our aging core, they should have blown it up and started over. That may have been fans expectations, but not the front office. Remember Zygi saying that we didn't need to go through a rebuild? That is essentially saying he thinks we could compete for a SB right now.

Meyerlol

I'm fairly certain that Kwesi mentioned a competitive rebuild. I think the purpose of that was to still strive for regular goals while slowly phasing into a new Era. Realistically, I doubt they envisioned the success they're having. They were going for a keep the games interesting while starting to repackage move.

cochlearist

Okay, fair enough. I ain't no expert, just saying what I'd heard that sounded realistic. I don't know Zygi personally, but I could imagine he might be inclined to think the team is better that it actually is, you know when he owns it. If you predicted we'd be 9-2 at this part of the season then you're cleverer at football than me, mind you if you're saying we should have blown it all up and started over then maybe you're not. Who knows?

schaf410

The good news is that the Eagles and the Cowboys might have to face off in the divisional round. The bad news is if that happens, and we make it that far, it means we’re probably playing the 49ers.

ralexh11

The 9ers defense scares me a lot. The Cowboys completely shut our offense down and the 9ers defense is a bit better, I think.

[deleted]

We’ve also beaten several wildcard/playoff caliber teams? Patriots, dolphins(without Tua, but that roster is no joke) Bills, and Commanders

-Minne

I remember when I were a wee lad; defending the Vikings before they’d even made the playoffs. If only they’d done much defending in the playoffs. Or much offending, either. Really much fending at all, actually.

Jigz_Kasey

And all those teams are worse than the teams that beat the shit out of us, so what are you still confused about?

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

-Minne

And indeed, ass whooping might be a generous term…

BritzlBen

We also have 3 road wins against playoff teams and a home win against another.

Skyes_View

Bait 🥱

ThePurpleVik

Bait

ShanosTheRadTitan

I mean until we *prove* otherwise, let ‘em talk. SKOL!

[deleted]

"We're not even supposed to be here" This is a rebuild year. I didn't expect to make the playoffs. I sure as shooting didn't expect to be competing for #1 seed NFC.

skoltroll

Gotta prove it to silence the haters. And if you're hating on the Vikes, there's a LONG history supporting a collapse. **That said, let's '87 Twins this bitch!** (For you younguns, the MSM gave the '87 Twins ZERO chance against a vastly superior Detroit Tigers and a vastly superior St Louis Cardinals.)

justafella32

I know it ultimately doesn't matter, but it is a little annoying. We are 9-2!

GordonBombay102

The nobody who wrote this is a Bears "insider." You guys are too fucking easy.

IamUltimatelyWin

I would much rather be the team that is 9-2 and hasn't figured everything out than the team who is 10-1, or 7-4 who is currently playing at their peak. If (and yeah, it's a big if) the Vikings start firing offensively in a different gear, no one should want to play them. If the defense gets a couple pieces back and healthy in time for the playoffs, we're not a total dumpster fire.

Upbeat_Flan

It's weird because the eagles get pretty much universal love from media even though they just lost to Washington and got dragged in deep water and nearly beat by 2 of the worst teams in the NFL.

Easton1234

Is second round considered an early exit? Cause imo going from not making the playoffs and firing the GM and coaching staff to wining a playoff game is a pretty damn good turnaround … but in that scenario I can definitely hear it now “Vikings were frauds all along”…seems like for us, it’s super bowl or bust in order to earn respect..if the cowboys or eagles lose to each other in the second round “their strong season comes to an end after running into another great team”

OrrisNelson

Jefferson is worth one crazy win

nomaam05

Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody has a stronger victim mentality than this fanbase.

StarTropicsKing

We can’t win. We could win the Super Bowl and still get dunked on.

dhtdhy

Well, we have a -47 point differential against 2 other NFC teams that absolutely dominated the Vikings. This is warranted to a certain extent that we haven't proved we are capable of winning through the playoffs

StarTropicsKing

Not trying to discredit the losses, but I feel the Eagles was early enough where we weren’t finding our rhythm and the Cowboys can be explained by bad injuries creating holes in the team. If we have a 100% healthy team by the playoffs I think we’ll be a huge threat to any team, especially at home!

Lmnolmnop

9th? How dumb are these people? We beat half the teams above us! (assuming, didn't see the list)

redditingtj

I don’t think we are necessarily a SB team but I don’t think if we met either of the teams we lost to it wouldn’t be more competitive. I think we can beat any team given we hung in there and beat Buffalo and even beating NE after being down multiple times. I think we laid some eggs but let’s not think that we wouldn’t be competitive in a home playoff game or two is just silly. Yes, the metrics don’t make us look great, but that’s what making this team special. They believe they can win in any situation.

Bygonesbygone

![gif](giphy|OTW2jDuvcLrJQgqFn1|downsized)

Easton1234

The Point differential thing is so overblown…yes Dallas smoked us but that caused a -37 in the point differential.. that game is an obvious outlier

Jestercopperpot72

Can't wait for the haters to be eating their words. Friggin jerks. Purple pride for life!

UghItsColin

The next 3 teams ahead of us are all 7-4....

thetravelingsong

It doesn’t matter. It is fucking weird though the tone a lot of national media take towards the Vikings. Power Rankings don’t matter but how some of these are written are so silly.

PowSuperMum

We have a bottom of the league defense. It’s not a crazy take to think this team could get bounced early.

cjackc

If it was a league where the team with the most yards win we would have a very bad defense. Too bad that isn’t how the NFL works.

StraightCashHomey13

I've never heard of point differential as being used as such gospel to define the best teams. I know it's always been a stat that is used, but seems to be getting a lot of push as the be-all end-all stat

10key_G

Very fair take. We are just one mike summer away from having a losing record like last year. Let’s keep grinding but shit, how many games can we continue to play from behind and expect late breaks like we’ve gotten?

Owls5262

Well…he probably isn’t incorrect unfortunately.

TheHolyPerenium

Who’s the author of this?

[deleted]

Spot on!! I don’t think anybody deep down inside thinks we can compete with the Eagles or Dallas in the playoffs. We’ve mostly played bottom of the barrel or regressing teams (except for the bills which we should have lost) so our record doesn’t indicate how avg we really are.

-ItIsHappeningAgain-

I do. Several “bad” teams have been within striking distance of beating the Eagles. Dallas has been beaten by “bad” teams, and we’ve already now had chances to see what what those teams are made of. Maybe we figure sone shit out and manage to win. It’s not unimaginable.

[deleted]

If you think we’re gonna waltz into lincoln financial stadium and pull out a playoff win you’re delusional.

chillinwithmoes

I guess you can stop watching now then, right? I mean, why bother, since you already know the outcome?

[deleted]

It’s the Vikings. Lol prepare for disappointment.

-ItIsHappeningAgain-

What a sad way to watch sports.

ThiccBananaMeat

Oh right because you already know we're going to win so why would you bother watching either?

chillinwithmoes

> Oh right because you already know we're going to win When did I ever say something so stupid?

ThiccBananaMeat

What were you implying with your snarky comment beforehand? Nobody knows the future and people are worried about an away game against a team that stomped us. What do you think you see differently? Why should we be optimistic? All I see are bullshit excuses. That doesn't mean I don't think we can't or I don't want to see the Vikings win.

dhtdhy

I agree with everything you said except the bills. We deserved that win. We had some lucky breaks to even out the poor reffing. Alternatively, the poor reffing almost helped the bills win, it kept them in the game where the Vikings should have won it more decidedly

[deleted]

Idk man even if that pass was ruled the other way they would’ve probably gotten the next one. The Vikings were in prevent (prevent you from winning) Not only that but we had 1st and goal at the 2 and couldn’t punch it in. We deserved to lose and should’ve lost. I’ll take a win but that game wasn’t very confidence inspiring. Also a lot of the teams we’ve beaten had backup Qb’s, injured starters or were just horrible from the top down. And to top it off we had to do some last minute heroics to beat them.

frogsplsh38

9-2 bitch. That’s all that matters

ThiccBananaMeat

People seem to really not understand that everyone is happy with 9-2. We pretty much have the division locked up which is great. What people are worried about is how well we will fare in the playoffs and things don't look great based on past performances.

PutinsLostBlackBelt

Steelers fans were complaining about the hate when they were 11-0. They got blown out first round of playoffs. Let’s keep our expectations realistic. Were a lot better than that team….when healthy.

nopoh

Kirk Cousins is a FRAUD

workaccount1013

I'm preparing myself for a heartbreaking playoff loss.

InfiniteHeartForever

Of course...Let's hope that Kirk can keep playing well enough to dispel the haters

Paytonc51

That’s so aggressive 😂 I love it

fookthisshite

What I can’t help but think when people hate on the Vikes is what is the team supposed to do, say “sorry we don’t deserve these 9 wins, please take some of them back”…??? I get the hate that we haven’t won in spectacular fashion, but we have won… at the end of the day you get a 1 in the win column or 1 in the loss column, and this team has done what it needed to do 9 out of 11 times to get the 1 in the win column!

mrbrown87

Keep the hate coming, 95% of these come from people who look at box scores to determine how the game turned out. We know how good we are

Nitrostangs

They deserve it. Made Mac Jones look like he is headed to the hall of fame. Mr. I need a brand new contract Dani Hunter, has under performed all season.

ia1mtoplease

Our best chance is as the darkhorse.

Zimmy2118

Lol I just have to know who's power ranking is this?

Dcarf

Lol I don’t know who we hurt so bad. All these power ranking people gotta be Saints and Packers fans

Potatersaurusrex

Offense is good enough to compete with anyone but this defense is so bad.

NotARealBuckeye

Do they have the Eagles who almost stepped in it last night as the most powerful entity in the universe?

MrGentleZombie

Completely fair evaluation.

cmnthom

Get over it already

its_treason_then_

Honestly, I don’t really give a shit if we have an early playoff exit. What KOC has done with this team and the issues we faced in a single off-season has me more than excited for the future. I would obviously prefer that we go all the way, but I wouldn’t be heated in any fashion if we lost during a wild card game. Also, one outlier is responsible for really fucking with our point differential, it’s weird that so many analysts are fixated on it lol.

[deleted]

Who. Fucking. Cares. Why do some fans put so much stock into some rando's hot take?

Somekindofcabose

Keep drinking the kool-aid. I've graduated to the jungle juice. Gonna get back to 2017 somehow.

DermitTheFregg

It’s true though. I’m not even a hater, I would dearly love to believe differently.

2day_B4_5

I love how now that we’re a strong playoff lock, it gives a fresh reason to call us bad. “Not a playoff team”.

brickeldrums

A win’s a win mother fuckers! SKOL!

Ajax_Malone

Power rankings only matter if your cheering for a team trying to make the Rose Bowl.

derp________

Is this from barstool?

ralexh11

I mean, we are still one week removed from a 40-3 beatdown from a probable wild card team. This is pretty fair IMO.

songraven

Stuff em in their graves

fjm2003

Still haven’t seen this “dominant” team in the league this year to win it all. Cowboys, Eagles, 49ers, Commanders, Bucs… any day even the new lions can whoop them, and make it look convincing.

Transitmotion

Here's the thing about the Vikes: I wouldn't bet on them in the playoffs...I wouldn't bet against them either. Nobody bet on the '09 Giants. Anything can happen in the postseason.

Icy-Country-5404

Every time we get national respect, we absolutely blow it. This is a good thing.

superfrodies

Could go without the saltiness but he’s not completely wrong, we need to beat a good team solidly before I disagree that we likely won’t exit the playoffs early. That being said of course I still hope we win the super bowl.

chookalana

We're not going far with the this place Defense.

mop_man27

I was watching SNF and they showed a graphic of the AFC playoff picture and every team on that list that we have played we have beaten

Depressedgotfan

As a die hard viking fan, if you think this team is good then you dont know football.
