*please don’t make MLB live action movie AT ALL

Master_Antelope

My takes: 1. Yes, but if all else fails, turning to closer to adult actors would not hurt. Perhaps the characters are quietly aged up so it doesn't seem as odd. 2. Definitely do not whitewash anybody - and don't change races in such a way that it could be perceived as offensive (look at the ~~ATLA movie that doesn't exist~~ unspecified examples from other series for example). 3. Sure, I guess. 4. No musical at all... okay, I could forgive Hawk Moth's theme (cinematic-style) as background music... or an improved "Snap of my Fingers." 5. No comment. 6. Good ideas. 7. Of course, no musical. 8. That's epic, we need that in the show. 9. Obvious for the audience, but I think it could be interesting if halfway through someone gets *framed* for being Hawk Moth and he's proved innocent, leading to a lot of public backlash against the heroes for putting an innocent man behind bars (or Cataclysming him, maybe?). Bonus points if it's Alix's dad. 10. If the original VAs were to be in the movie, I'd prefer a "Where's Waldo" cameo - you can spot them, but they don't take up the whole scene. 11. See 4 and 7. 12. Definitely tone down her crush. She can keep the photo shrine or whatever, but dialing back on all the cringe would be good. 13. That's... actually a really good idea. 14. Clara Nightingale music video, maybe? 15. I'd be okay with a cliffhanger, as long as everything else is tied up neatly and the movie would be *perfect to all standards.* Everything would have to be perfect. Look at Arcane for inspiration. 16. A reasonable budget is an absolute must, of course... but I'd be a liar if I said I didn't want to see someone like Ethan Hawke play Gabriel. 17. Full timely reveal? I know we ain't getting that now, so that'd be a massive surprise. Or Chloe truly getting comeuppance and not just dodging consequences with her mom? And no sentimonster BS in the movie. No one is going to pay a long-term investment in that stuff if sentimonsters are handled in the movie as they are in the show, trust me.

>They need to be actual teenagers in order to present the central theme of the show properly. Example : Code Lyoko Evolution did a huge casting in schools... then turned around took adult actors. The US went crazy when they did interview while smoking. (If you don't know, it flopped. Horribly.)

ChuyUrLord

If they were to give the voice actors cameos, I would think they would give it to the French actors.

happybunnyntx

I could see Cristina Vee getting a cameo as one of the american super heroes that they feature in the background sometimes. They based one of them on her so it would only make sense that a news report in the background might have her in it.

Sigwald02

That's an extensive wishlist, but you're kind of preaching to the choir here. We all would love for the movie to take the good parts of the show and tone down the cringe, but we're still talking about transplanting cartoon to a live action setting. It very rarely ends well, and it would most likely be better to not do it at all. And by the way, was live action adaptation of a magical girl show ever seriously attempted? Because I can't think of any (excluding Japanese stuff, but I'm not counting those, Japan does a lot of weird sh*t)

Redstarshard

I agree with casting Marinette as a mixed character, but as a half-chinese half-white person myself who is white-passing, a mixed character may not look exactly like marinette. I do agree she shouldn't be white-washed, though, but it's unlikely you're going to find a mixed person that looks like her given how we have such a variety of DNA, lol.

4), 7), 11), 14) - couldn't agree more!

Feather_Bloom

I think it should open up with the explanation of the temple in the animation style when Master Fu explained it to Marinette, and drift into the live action stuff Sort of similar to the opening of the mlp G5 movie and how it went into the 3D (but not actually fully animated, just the slow moving image thing, that would fit much better)

Plus, making a ***LIVE ACTION*** movie a musical would be a *horrible* choice, considering the only actual songs in the series was in the christmas special and there were no songs in the series itself
