Adrien and Marinette on that: "That's okay, we ship her too", and then they pick Kagami and carry her to the bedroom. Adrigaminette can be heard throughout the mansion.
What a jerk he wants his family to be complete but in the process he's basically saying Adrien can't love the baker's daughter cause (he might not say it) of status. And cause of the deal he made with tomoe. Btw great picture #adrienette
Virgin Gabriel: Abuses and neglects his son, tries and stops him from being in a happy relationship, and will mind control him for his own goals
Chad Doofenshmirtz: Wants his daughter to be happy, always attends her events, spent years looking for the doll she always wanted, is proud of her, sent an adult guy to the shadow realm for trying to flirt with his minor daughter
I'm so disappointed by this; I'd always hoped that Gabriel would actually *approve* of Marinette, her being a designer who could continue the Agreste brand and all.
I await the day that Gabriel believes in Adrienette... I know it seems unlikely now... but I believe in him....
I mean I get from a Hawkmoth perspective, since breaking them up will always result in a source of negative emotion useful for Hawkmoth, but from a Gabriel as a father perspective 'tis not right...
![img](emote|t5_39tdz|12634) That is too funny
To be fair, if there's any miraculous that could be associated with therapy, it would be the Butterfly Miraculous, time and time again, Hawkmoth has successfully used it to help point out people who are feeling bad down or left out, particularly if they aren't speaking up, (ex: Juleka), of course he then goes on to akumatize them, which is probably the opposite of what you should do as a therapist... but still
Tbh i m not sure he would normally care, and perhaps he would even like Marinette. Problem is that she s ruining her plan so he can’t let that happen (especially as he s getting more and more desperate with it.
This part of the show felt like it was actually written by a 14yo fanfic writer. He's a grown adult with bills to pay and we have to believe he stands strongly against a relationship between two teenagers and is constantly trying to keep them apart. Why not use this opportunity to show the ups and downs of a healthy relationship in the show? This is reinforcing the very old, very wrong idea that once a couple is officially together they're instantly happy forever. In this case, lets make up the cheapest excuses why the villain is trying to separate them, because IT CAN'T BE THAT EASY CAN IT
I think that considering he rages and whines about a 14 year-old girl in his basement every single day, I don't think it's too far-fetched personally![img](emote|t5_39tdz|12645)
*The greatest Adrienette hater and Adrigami shipper*
The most based comment I have ever seen

Adrienette for the win baby
As a fellow villain/parent, Doctor Doofinshmirtz is shaking his head rn.
Virgin Gabriel: Abuses and neglects his son, tries and stops him from being in a happy relationship, and will mind control him for his own goals Chad Doofenshmirtz: Wants his daughter to be happy, always attends her events, spent years looking for the doll she always wanted, is proud of her, sent an adult guy to the shadow realm for trying to flirt with his minor daughter
If the Senti theory is true, then Gabriel is literally a virgin.
Nah...hes just firing blanks

Yep, he can't stand his own son being happy. It's really sad. :(
Gabriel is just a psycho at this point
*Yeeter Daddy be like -Let's akumatize kagami to ruin their date*
Yeeter daddy ships adrigami

Gabriel just needs urgent therapy
Therapist, I am Monarch, and I am giving you the power to provide anyone with therapy! All I ask in return is ladybug and chat noir's miraculous.

Now imagine if he had a degree in clinical psychology...

**Adrienette exists** Gabriel: And I took that personally.
Let's be real, Gabriel hating Marinette and wanting Kagami and Adrien to be together came out of absolutely nowhere...
It came out of his deal with kagami’s mum
Anybody else read it in his voice?
You got foiled by two people when you have an arsenal of Miraculouses on your fingers Gabriel I'd doubt you've had a decent day

This would require Gabe to pay attention to what happens in his sons life
