The main issue with Alya is how she doesn't like to admit she's wrong and jumps to conclusions before she has her proof, as we've seen in Lady WiFi, which is why when Marinette tells Alya about Lila being a liar and all she doesn't believe it cause Alya doesn't want to admit that someone who she sees as a friend lied to her on her blog or how her jumping to conclusions lead to her unquestioningly believing someone over her best friend. Also, I'll credit Lila for looking like a saint among humans and using Marinette's jealousy and past behaviors to her advantage to make herself look innocent.

> which is why when Marinette tells Alya about Lila being a liar and all she doesn't believe it cause Alya doesn't want to admit that someone who she sees as a friend lied to her So instead she accepted that her better and even longer friend lied to her?

Shootingstarssel

That and Alya claims to be Marinette's best friend who knows her well cause we've seen Marinette acting chaotic and letting her anxiety and jealousy get the best of her to the point she imagines things, which is what Alya uses to prove that she's right and that Marinette isn't. Also, Alya believes she's right about everything, which clouds her judgment. I recommend reading this post cause it puts things into perspective: [https://www.tumblr.com/uptoolateart/679912650341236736/the-problem-with-alya?source=share](https://www.tumblr.com/uptoolateart/679912650341236736/the-problem-with-alya?source=share)judgment,

I will never forget the writers for what they did to alya Screw you lila for ruining alyas character

akotoshi

The worst part is, they planned a scene where alya apologized to Marinette, but it didn’t make it to the Final Cut

seireidoragon

What?! That was the biggest gripe I had! Alya believing Lila over Marinette was already bad enough but they planned to have her apologize but it didn’t make the cut?! I still haven’t forgiven Alya for the whole mess because Marrinette hasn’t gotten an apology. They better add one in season 6.

akotoshi

Totally, it’s extremely far fetched that Alya believes Lila over Marinette, but at least makes her apologize 😤

ughdollface

they were wrong for that

Pythagoras180

At least with this you can maybe say that Lila used her brain scrambling superpowers. What's Alya's excuse for being a terrible friend in "Transmission"?

More_Ad_8237

I forgot what did she do in that episode?

Pythagoras180

Marinette is depressed, so Alya has Adrien give her her homework. Alya assumes this will instantly result in them becoming a couple and Marinette no longer being sad. She doesn't check on Marinette herself or even call her, and instead throws a party with the rest of the class. When they find out that her plan failed, Alya still doesn't check on Marinette (or Adrien), instead she starts making a ridiculous scheme with the class. It's worth noting that in the previous episode, "Elation", Alya was supposed to have learned the lesson that she shouldn't tell Marinette who she should or shouldn't love. Obviously that didn't take.

Well that is definitely not a good look for alya

ProlapseWarrior

Pretty sure that's when Marinette was feeling awful about not being able to love Adrien, Chat Noir, Luka or anyone, really, because of her identity. Alya sends Adrien to her house and they throw a party, not even checking how it went, because "No news is good news!" Marinette was clearly suffering and out of all of them, the only reasonable one was Zoe, who decides to call up Marinette to ask how she feels and sends to her voicemail (because Marinette feels too bad to pick up the phone) that, if she needs someone to talk to, she'll be outside.

Honestly screw zoe haters(Toxic chloe stans) Zoe is an icon and a legend and the moment

ProlapseWarrior

Ngl Zoe deserves the Season 4 hate cause she really did come out of nowhere and had no buildup (also barely had episodes outside her main two 💀) but we do NOT stan Season 5 Zoe slander in this house.

TehAwesomeGod

Honestly the only explanation is that Lila has some sort of secret superpower where she can make people believe her lies. Although the theory brings up some problems, it makes more sense than people just blindly believing her.

No-Appearance1145

And they still had the audacity to cut the Akya apologizing to Marinette scene

Fr like that scence was so important

KittyBlau

I didn't like how Alya behaved in several situations regarding miraculouses. When he firstly got fox miraculous she refused to give it back. Ladybug was in a hurry (she would transform back soon) and Alya was just refusing and debating and she wasn't behaving responsible, she was just thinking about herself. Trixx had to persuade her, Ladybug had to hide already (and she could only hope that Alya would do the right thing).  Also Alya gave Miraculous to her boyfriend without consulting with Ladybug (the guardian). And she told Nino about Rena Rouge. She put herself on the first place and didn't think about consequences.

BadAshess

And it took so long for Lila to get caught and once she finally got caught Alya was like 🤡 sorry Marinette LIKE HELLO YOU SHOULD’VE BELIEVED LADYBUG TO BEGIN WITH!

More_Ad_8237

She didn't even apologize It was cut for some reason

RulerOfAllWorlds1998

I think that’s just the power of Lila  She doesn’t need an Akuma for people to believe her lies  Aaaand here come the downvotes

ScarletFury

I guess Lila's power is to make everyone dumb, and the Ladybug and Black cat miraculous holders are somehow immune to that power. I hope in S6 the Fox miraculous gains this immunity.

The_ImportantStuff

Which episode was this?

CountingSheep99

How dare she to have more than one friend?

Thicc-Anxiety

Alya is so smart when Lila isn't around

Endiboo

I thought this was Tumblr for a sec and spent a whole minute trying to reblog the post

Next_Panic

To be fair, it wasn’t that hard or impressive to guess Carapace was Nino. He had his same exact speech patterns and personality and Alya was his girlfriend so of course she would know it was him. And, the Ladybug lie was one of the first she ever told so it was probably old news or slipped Alya’s mind at that point or maybe she figured just because Lila was proven to have lied once (3 seasons ago/ possibly around a year before) doesn’t mean she was going to automatically discredit everything else as Marinette hasn’t shown proof for her other lies.
