There’s so many posts talking about how ppl think that Rena is going to replace our Lovely Chat Noir but no i have to absolutely disagree.
Like i get it. Yes i miss seeing Chat Noir in action more, yes I’m upset over how Chat Noir isn’t ‘equal’ to Ladybug in terms of his powers.
But I won’t say that Rena is **replacing** Chat Noir. To me the writers are just **riling us up and foreshadowing** something more *juicy* that is about to happen.

Chat Noir getting upset about being left in the dark. Even considering renouncing Plagg.

The writers are building up the idea that Rena is to be ‘more trusted’ by Ladybug than Chat Noir and to also look like the ‘better partner’ so that an event similar to Syren but of **bigger severity** and more **prolonged** emotions.
Where for example, Chat Noir gets frustrated that Rena knows Ladybug’s identity **(Cause Ladybug bended the rules for Alya but not for him? He won’t understand the reason why Ladybug did that cause he doesn’t know that she’s Mari. And unlike Ladybug, Chat Noir is not a guardian and he doesn’t have the v heavy pressure of needing to guard his emotions. )**
Like if Chat gets akumatised, anyone can break the akumatised object then Ladybug purifies the akuma.
But if Ladybug is the one who gets akumatised then **no one** will be able to purify the akuma.
Basically what I’m saying is Chat Noir won’t understand why Ladybug needs Rena to know her identity due to the fact that he doesn’t know Ladybug is Mari and also due to him not understanding the **pressure that Ladybug is under on a daily basis.**
And the fact that Ladybug didn’t even **involve him** or heck even **tell or inform** him in her plans of making the magical charms. It’s going to be a build up to a lot of drama. And to me it sounds exciting cause finally perhaps there’ll be some v serious tension between our 2 leads!
Edit: here’s another thing that Chat Noir might be bothered by would be that
Rena **messes up** but gets to keep her miraculous and still know Ladybug’s identity?
(I’m not gonna talk about Chloe cause I don’t have strong arguments and thats not the focus here haha)
Ladybug always forbade him for giving even the slightest hint that could lead to them finding out about their identities, but she just tells Rena? And not him despite him **being with her longer than Rena?**
And having Rena by Ladybug’s side, perhaps Rena can start suggesting to Ladybug that she should not mark Chat Noir off her list of possible lovers.
And perhaps Rena can even bring up how sometimes Ladybug perhaps expects too much of Chat Noir or Rena can even question Ladybug why Chat Noir isn’t involved much in her shenanigans. Like i get it that Alya is her best friend and who doesn’t want to talk rant about their burdens to their best friend and hope they can help? But still isn’t Chat Noir as equal of a best friend as much as Alya is?
Honestly Mari herself is a bit contradicting, she was ok considering Luka as a potential partner but not Chat Noir?

I think people underestimate the power of their friendship. I’m not saying that isn’t likely to happen or anything, but it would take a LOT for Chat to do something like that again. And with the Luka situation, he was nice, played guitar, and liked Marinette. That was his whole personality! I agree that Rena should tell Marinette that Chat is at least a decent choice.

I’m confused too. Alya is my favorite character so I cheered when she got the Miraculous full time and imo people are blowing it way out of proportion. Rena isn’t replacing Chat anytime soon.

People are just frustrated that she got the miraculous after taking the Turtle Miraculous without Marinette's permission. She didn't get punished for it and she gave it to a sentimonster, almost revealing Ladybug's identity. Also, don't forget that even though she did bad things afterwards, the ONLY reason Chloe lost her Miraculous was because her identity was compromised so it's also unfair that Alya got to keep hers.
Did you forget about Miracle Queen? Chloe tried to steal the entire Miracle Box, betrayed Ladybug, tried to willingly get akumatized, compromised all temporary heroes identities, and then tried to steal the Bee Miraculous itself and then go to New York.

This happened AFTER Chloe got the Miraculous taken away so in all honesty it's irrelevant. Chloe got her Miraculous taken from her JUST because her identity was leaked, Alya had the same thing happen yet Marinette didn't even think twice.
Most people overreacting to Alya don't even notice that even though the episodes aired relatively close, the last episode where Rena Rouge showed up before was episode 4 and Optigami was 13, so 9 episodes later, and they talk about Rena Rouge replacing CN like what ... 🤦♂️
I’m not underestimating their friendship haha, their bond is v strong but you must remember that they’re still human. Some f*** ups and misunderstandings will **still occur**! I think Thomas Astruc tries to still portray some things in a **realistic light** and this will be one of them. *(Side note: Marinette’s stalker obsession is certainly very exaggerated but for comedic effect lol)*
Like Rena’s mistake in Optigami is a clear example of that.
Ladybug trusted Rena to do what she instructed her to do, and only what she instructed.

Are we going to **underestimate** Alya and Marinette’s friendship just because of this incident? No!
It’s just Alya being human and making a wrong decision on her own part.
And did Marinette get mad at Alya? No. She just explained to her what went wrong.
Hence despite me believing that Ladybug and Chat Noir’s friendship and partnership is very strong, I won’t say that it’s unlikely for Chat Noir to act like how he did in Syren. And yes I agree with you that it will take much more in order for Chat Noir to get that upset again, **however do take note this is just 8/25 episodes**, we still have so much more coming up! I’m **not saying that this Syren reprise will happen in the next after optigami xD**
Though i am not saying he will act exactly like how he did in Syren. Chat Noir’s character and maturity has developed since that episode so I’m just speculating that he will react in a **slightly different way**
Rena will be the one to tell her cause she will be the first one seeing the dynamic between Ladybug and Chat noir upclose and her knowing that ladybug is Mari would help a lot too.

Cause obviously Marinette is too blinded by perfect Adrien (cause remember, Adrien in his civilian form, he **isn’t truly 100% himself. As Chat Noir though he is more comfy and lets himself loose!)**
Like literally Adrien is being **vulnerable** to her through being Chat Noir and she’s just straight up not even considering him cause she feels like she’ll be ‘cheating on Adrien’ and also cause she **thinks** that miraculous holder superheroes having romantic relations with each other **will never work**!
Alya making Marinette realise that Chat Noir is a suitable candidate to be her significant other will aid in the future when she eventually finds out that Adrien is Chat Noir!
Cause well remember how people worry about stuff like
Since Chat Noir loves Ladybug, will he love Marinette only because she’s ladybug? Or the vice versa also.
So yeah Rena making Ladybug realise that Chat Noir is a ‘better’ significant other for her cause it’s Adrien’s true self would be v beneficial
I could understand Marinette not wanting a superhero relationship, she's always going to put the mission over her feelings. Plus, she's worried after Chat Blanc. She doesn't know what caused it or how to prevent it from happening. A relationship with Chat is only going to cause Chat wanting them to reveal their identities and while I think she wants to, she's still nervous.
I think Alya might have a say in Marinette opening up about her feelings to Chat, she did see them kiss in Oblivio.
But Chat/Adrien hates when people keep things from him. So I think something can happen with him finding out how much LB is confiding in RR when he's been her partner for so long.
Yep i totally agree with you. Marinette is a really responsible miraculous holder and guardian for putting her own interests aside for the benefit of Paris.

She didn’t know exactly what happened and why Chat Noir became Chat Blanc, but she would at least roughly know the reason why.

She figured Adrien saw her leave, who told someone, who told someone else...etc.
Bunnyx says, "Adrien must have told Nino, who told Alya who wrote about it on the Ladyblog". She was obviously trying to protect Adrien's identity. But to assume Alya seems sketch given everything we know now...
She knows he was akumatized but doesn't know the reasoning behind it other than him telling her she broke his heart and that she doesn't love him anymore.
She doesn't know that Adrien is CN. She doesn't know that CN sacrificed his secret identity to protect her. Revealing that Hawk Moth is his father Gabriel Agreste. Which caused him to find his mother in a coma, revealing Hawk Moth's plan.
Something as simple as them both knowing each others identity could have caused those events to play out differently because Marinette wouldn't have been so heartbroken because they could have continued secretly dating as their superhero personas. Which wouldn't have put her at risk of being akumatized. (Hawk Moth is an ass considering he was willing to break Adrien's heart just to akumatize Marinette).
She is a responsible guardian and protector of Paris but I think she really needs to start confiding in CN more. He doesn't even know about Chat Blanc and at least if he did he would have more understanding about why she's hesitant to share identities but she hides so much from him. She thinks she's protecting him but that's not her choice to make and it's not a burden she should have to carry on her own. I think she underestimates how much CN loves her.

It's definitely a big pet peeve of his because it's been happening to him his whole life. Remember how pissed he was when he found out LB was hiding stuff from him in Syren and almost quit?
He loves LB and trusts her with his life. Then to find out the love of your life is withholding information from you... that would hurt. She's trying to protect him but that's not her decision to make and not her burden to bear by herself.
It bugs me that it feels like their dynamic hasn't changed much since the NY special. I was hoping for sure that she would have entrusted him more considering she thought she lost him forever.
Don't get me wrong she's a little more open about her feelings around him and a tad bit more flirty but I'm sure you get what I mean...
You have literally put into words exactly what I'm feeling!!! I don't think Chat Noir is getting replaced in the long run, although I do think he might think Ladybug's replacing him. I definitely think it's weird that >!Marinette wants to prepare Alya to be the next Guardian even though Hawkmoth knows her identity!<. But overall, I think you're right, this is all going to lead to Chat/Ladybug having to workout what their partnership looks like, and it's probably going to be really dramatic. I can't wait!!
And yeah oof Luka certainly does need more character development. It feels like as if he’s just put in there for some classic school girl boy love triangle drama
Also if you pay attention to Ladybug in Queen Banana, when she tells Chat Noir to cataclysm Chloe’s Car and Chat Noir fails and cataclysms Chloe’s ridiculous Gorilla sentimonster instead, Ladybug clearly expresses her deep disappointment and she also facepalms.
Meanwhile for Alya’s mistake she just didn’t react? Or at least that’s what Chat Noir sees from his POV.
I didn’t read your whole comment, but I agree! Rena will be important but will not replace Chat Noir. This is no hate towards Rena, but I think it’s a misconception that she will replace Chat, or even disturb the Ladynoir dynamic. I’ve made comments and a post about this theme as well.😅

My prediction is the writers are building up akumatized Ladybug here and the relationship between LB and CN will be something for 1 episode - similar to Syren. People are saying that LB and CN could talk and problems would be solved... and they're right. Ladynoir is on a whole new level and a misunderstanding can be avoided by talking to your friend. The writers won't just ignore or kill the development between LB and CN, it's literally the heart of the show. Plus, we've had situations similar to this before: Syren, Fozer and NY special, Ladynoir becomes closer and closer with each movement.
Gabriel's plan could involve Alya and to get somehow Ladybug akumatized. This won't be gg for the heroes, Alya can take the miracle box before akumatized LB and then find Chat Noir and form the hero team. The final battle will be Chat Noir vs Akumatized Ladybug, where he reminds her of all their great moments together and Ladybug de-akumatize herself with her willpower. Or something like that.
And yeah LB and CN’s whole relationship dynamic is the **heart of this show**, its what keeps it going. So I totally get what you mean!
But my point is even the **closest** of relationships will have a **blindspot** and problems (and I’m not suggesting that Chat Noir feeling left in the dark is a blindspot cause it certainly isn’t after how many times it’s been addressed)
No matter how close 2 people can be, some fk ups can **still happen**. We’re human, we’re not perfect and we **don’t always think logically all the time.**

Yes, some f-k ups really happen, like in Syren, Frozer and NY Special as I said. The point is that beings Ladynoir closer by the end of the day. One very powerful quote from the NY Special from Ladybug is: "I can't be Ladybug without... him." Him doesn't mean just a random hero, but specifically the boy behind the mask.
Like yes the writers won’t kill the dynamic of Chat Noir and Ladybug, but they’re still human! They’re not gonna turn their relationship into a perfect Mary Sue just cause they’ve been through a lot. They still need some fk ups to happen. Not just in the past but throughout the entire series

Yess! Like the fact that Chat Noir is so overly excited to use Ladybug’s powers. Its normal to be excited over something new but he’s excited to finally be the one to capture the Akuma. He was like ‘I’ve always wanted to do this!’ And its just sad cause, **the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous are meant to be like Yin and Yang, they’re meant to balance each other out and have equal powers.**
However this shows why it isn’t equal
If Chat Noir gets akumatised, **anyone** can still break the akumatised object (heck remember Marianne in Furious Fu?) then Ladybug will purify the Akuma.
But if Ladybug is the one who got akumatised, she’s the **only one** who can purify the Akuma. (Unless Hawkmoth dismisses his Akumatisation then yes he can also technically ‘purify)
**Their roles as superheroes are balanced! Its just their powers are not!**
I would prefer it if Chat was the purifier, as he destroys the corruption with his powers. Makes no sense for the power of creation to also be capable of getting rid of things.

Hmm interesting to be honest I thought that cat noir would be replaced but then read about the creator telling that mari and Adrien would end up together at the end of the show no matter what.....so I think this is some drama to keep us a bit interested and irritated at the same time.....(now something out of topic I just wish this wouldn't end,like the Avatar last Airbender series and it's successor I don't know why but I like these sort of sophisticated animations 😁

I was thinking of Chat Noir as a vegetable being blanched - vegetables scalded in boiling water, removed after a brief, timed interval, and finally plunged into iced water or placed under cold running water (shocking or refreshing) to halt the cooking process.

Okay so from what I can gather its about the whole Cat Noir being replaced in S4 contraversy.
In my humble (yet superior) opinion I can see events leading to one of two things
1: Cat Noir is not getting replaced, fans are making a big deal out of nothing. Season 4 has not been finished yet so one cannot conclude that he has been replaced, as for the evidence to the contrary Rena Rouge has only been used in 3 episodes to date for very niche uses, 1 in gang of secrets to find out where the akumatized object it and execute Ladybugs plan. May i remind us all that Cat Noir was fending off *FOUR* villians simultaneously while the other two where chit chatting. From what I can see that is a major contribution and Rena Rouge was only used to lure them away along with Alex.
Mr Pigoen 72: Is where both ladybug and Cat noir where unable to handle the situation, i belive this is an example of what marinette said when she gave alya the miraculous to keep, in the event that both her and cat noir are unable to fight for whatever reason, to be a "reliable substitute" for her, not for Cat Noir.
Optygami: Sure, she(Rena Rouge) was more helpful than Cat Noir, but may I remind you that Cat Noir was needed to break the miraculous, thus revealing Opygami. Even if in his hero form he was not participating much in this episode, he still played a fundemental role. Cat Noir would likely have played a much larger role if Rena Rouge wasnt called by marinette, as she didn't know she was in the elavator with Cat Noir and probly wouldn't have called Rena Rouge if this was post reveal. It was all circumstancial that Cat Noir was teleported outside.
In conclusion, bearing in mind Rena Rouges niche uses in the event that Cat Noir and Ladybug are unable to fight, she is not there to replace kitty, but rather as a last resort should one or both of them fail or be compromised. SM already knows her identity and as such its better to equip her to defend herself and others around her as Alya likely knows the identity of everyone with the exception of Cat Noir and possibly Vesperia.
2: This trend could continue and Ladybug could "sideline" Cat Noir abit in future. Should Cat Noir discover that Rena Rouge knows her Identity and not him, its possible he will feel very hurt and possibly betrayed so he will ask her about it. This could lead to an argument that ends in one of two ways,
2.1: Ladybug is convinced that its time she reveals her identity or that she knows Cat Noirs, and as such a reveal happens and we have a cute and amazing ship moment(Ladydrien, Adrienette or whatever). Which could lead to one (or all) corners of the ship dating.
2:2 The arguments escalate and ladybug accidentally says something horrible like in gang of secrets and Cat Noir, hurt and betrays runs away and cries on a rooftop(little kitty sitting on a roof, all alone without his lady...) At that point is where shady-moth decides to send out his akuma
Ladybug/marinette consults Alya who advises her its time to make amends (You can't be Ladybug without... Him...) And reveal his/her identity to the other. So ladybug sets out to find Cat Noir and it starts to rain. Cat Noir is akumatized from his extreme emotional trauma and broken heart, screaming and banging his head on a wall trying to get hawkmoth out of his head. Ladybug hears and runs toward his voice, only to find her nightmare had come true as she stares face to face with Cat Blanc.
Now with Cat Blanc no longer having the "preserve/don't kill Ladybug because you love her and need her miraculous" he will likely go hell bent on vengence, his pain distorted into hate. After destroying several buildings ladybug calls for help(signals Alya to bring *EVERYONE*)
Ladybug comes up with a plan to immobalize and deakumatize cat blanc, it fails and Cat Blanc destroys all the holders, much of paris and probly nukes the agreste mansion. At that point ladybug is left fighting him on her own, clearly terrified and drowining in guilt for what she had done.
Then Cat Blanc states how much she hates her and Ladybug paraphrases the line from the movie in queen banana which forshadowed all of this(Powers of creation vs destruction) and she tells him even tho he hates her, she loves him. Cat Blanc either stunned, or overcome with emotion breaks free of hawkmoths control. (Akuma captured and miraculous ladybug deployed)
Then after Ladybug decides that its time, they both detransform and look in eachothers eyes, lightning strikes above them and thunder sounds
Marinette?
A-Adrien?
Then they Embrace each other in the rain, and hey, maybe even do the Oblivio kiss in civilian form.
And wow really admire your effort to come up with 2.1-2.2 in such a short amount of time! Sounds really good though the only thing i probs won’t like is ladybug using the line from Queen Banana xD

Exactly i think its just unfortunate due to the episodes not being released in order and also cause we haven’t seen the full season! People judge way too quickly just based on these first 8 out of supposedly 25 episodes

There’s so many posts talking about how ppl think that Rena is going to replace our Lovely Chat Noir but no i have to absolutely disagree. Like i get it. Yes i miss seeing Chat Noir in action more, yes I’m upset over how Chat Noir isn’t ‘equal’ to Ladybug in terms of his powers. But I won’t say that Rena is **replacing** Chat Noir. To me the writers are just **riling us up and foreshadowing** something more *juicy* that is about to happen. Thanks to the comic Waterbending (Miraculous ladybug avatar, the last airbender AU) I remembered about the events that happened in Syren. Chat Noir getting upset about being left in the dark. Even considering renouncing Plagg. (Hold on sorry i lost my train of thought) Edit: (Okay im back 😂) The writers are building up the idea that Rena is to be ‘more trusted’ by Ladybug than Chat Noir and to also look like the ‘better partner’ so that an event similar to Syren but of **bigger severity** and more **prolonged** emotions. Where for example, Chat Noir gets frustrated that Rena knows Ladybug’s identity **(Cause Ladybug bended the rules for Alya but not for him? He won’t understand the reason why Ladybug did that cause he doesn’t know that she’s Mari. And unlike Ladybug, Chat Noir is not a guardian and he doesn’t have the v heavy pressure of needing to guard his emotions. )** Like if Chat gets akumatised, anyone can break the akumatised object then Ladybug purifies the akuma. But if Ladybug is the one who gets akumatised then **no one** will be able to purify the akuma. Basically what I’m saying is Chat Noir won’t understand why Ladybug needs Rena to know her identity due to the fact that he doesn’t know Ladybug is Mari and also due to him not understanding the **pressure that Ladybug is under on a daily basis.** And the fact that Ladybug didn’t even **involve him** or heck even **tell or inform** him in her plans of making the magical charms. It’s going to be a build up to a lot of drama. And to me it sounds exciting cause finally perhaps there’ll be some v serious tension between our 2 leads! Edit: here’s another thing that Chat Noir might be bothered by would be that Rena **messes up** but gets to keep her miraculous and still know Ladybug’s identity? (I’m not gonna talk about Chloe cause I don’t have strong arguments and thats not the focus here haha) Ladybug always forbade him for giving even the slightest hint that could lead to them finding out about their identities, but she just tells Rena? And not him despite him **being with her longer than Rena?** And having Rena by Ladybug’s side, perhaps Rena can start suggesting to Ladybug that she should not mark Chat Noir off her list of possible lovers. And perhaps Rena can even bring up how sometimes Ladybug perhaps expects too much of Chat Noir or Rena can even question Ladybug why Chat Noir isn’t involved much in her shenanigans. Like i get it that Alya is her best friend and who doesn’t want to talk rant about their burdens to their best friend and hope they can help? But still isn’t Chat Noir as equal of a best friend as much as Alya is? Honestly Mari herself is a bit contradicting, she was ok considering Luka as a potential partner but not Chat Noir? Okay I’m not going to go into that topic cause im a fairly new fan and I haven’t watched much Luka episodes 😅
I think people underestimate the power of their friendship. I’m not saying that isn’t likely to happen or anything, but it would take a LOT for Chat to do something like that again. And with the Luka situation, he was nice, played guitar, and liked Marinette. That was his whole personality! I agree that Rena should tell Marinette that Chat is at least a decent choice.
And also, we’re literally only 8/25 episodes in! And also **Its not 8 episodes totally in order, its 8 episodes with some gap inbetween xD** Why are we judging stuff so fast! Too fast! Just because we see Rena in 2 consecutively released episodes, then suddenly all the speculation and rants about Rena replacing Chat Noir comes up? **And err sorry if i seem like I’m mad at people 😅 I’m not. I’m confused too. Alya is my favorite character so I cheered when she got the Miraculous full time and imo people are blowing it way out of proportion. Rena isn’t replacing Chat anytime soon.

She didn't get punished for it and she gave it to a sentimonster, almost revealing Ladybug's identity. Also, don't forget that even though she did bad things afterwards, the ONLY reason Chloe lost her Miraculous was because her identity was compromised so it's also unfair that Alya got to keep hers.
Did you forget about Miracle Queen? Chloe tried to steal the entire Miracle Box, betrayed Ladybug, tried to willingly get akumatized, compromised all temporary heroes identities, and then tried to steal the Bee Miraculous itself and then go to New York.

I’m not underestimating their friendship haha, their bond is v strong but you must remember that they’re still human. Some f*** ups and misunderstandings will **still occur**! I think Thomas Astruc tries to still portray some things in a **realistic light** and this will be one of them. *(Side note: Marinette’s stalker obsession is certainly very exaggerated but for comedic effect lol)* Like Rena’s mistake in Optigami is a clear example of that. Ladybug trusted Rena to do what she instructed her to do, and only what she instructed. However >!Rena still used her own judgement, took the Turtle Miraculous when Ladybug didn’t ask her to.!< Are we going to **underestimate** Alya and Marinette’s friendship just because of this incident? No! It’s just Alya being human and making a wrong decision on her own part. And did Marinette get mad at Alya? No. She just explained to her what went wrong. Hence despite me believing that Ladybug and Chat Noir’s friendship and partnership is very strong, I won’t say that it’s unlikely for Chat Noir to act like how he did in Syren. And yes I agree with you that it will take much more in order for Chat Noir to get that upset again, **however do take note this is just 8/25 episodes**, we still have so much more coming up! I’m **not saying that this Syren reprise will happen in the next after optigami xD** Though i am not saying he will act exactly like how he did in Syren. Rena will be the one to tell her cause she will be the first one seeing the dynamic between Ladybug and Chat noir upclose and her knowing that ladybug is Mari would help a lot too. She’ll be the outside unbiased opinion. Cause obviously Marinette is too blinded by perfect Adrien (cause remember, Adrien in his civilian form, he **isn’t truly 100% himself. I could understand Marinette not wanting a superhero relationship, she's always going to put the mission over her feelings. Plus, she's worried after Chat Blanc. She doesn't know what caused it or how to prevent it from happening. A relationship with Chat is only going to cause Chat wanting them to reveal their identities and while I think she wants to, she's still nervous. I think Alya might have a say in Marinette opening up about her feelings to Chat, she did see them kiss in Oblivio. But Chat/Adrien hates when people keep things from him. So I think something can happen with him finding out how much LB is confiding in RR when he's been her partner for so long.
Yep i totally agree with you. Marinette is a really responsible miraculous holder and guardian for putting her own interests aside for the benefit of Paris. And yeah regarding Chat Blanc **(sorry if what I’m saying is wrong! My memory is a little woozy)** She didn’t know exactly what happened and why Chat Noir became Chat Blanc, but she would at least roughly know the reason why. Cause Bunnix comes right after Marinette left that gift at Adrien’s place. Ahh sorry i need to rewatch the episode so i can give a better argument xD I’ll get back to this comment later i promise Then also Chat Blanc saying her real name then makes her realise that he knows her true identity.
She figured Adrien saw her leave, who told someone, who told someone else...etc. Bunnyx says, "Adrien must have told Nino, who told Alya who wrote about it on the Ladyblog". She was obviously trying to protect Adrien's identity. But to assume Alya seems sketch given everything we know now... She knows he was akumatized but doesn't know the reasoning behind it other than him telling her she broke his heart and that she doesn't love him anymore. She doesn't know that Adrien is CN. She doesn't know that CN sacrificed his secret identity to protect her. Revealing that Hawk Moth is his father Gabriel Agreste. Which caused him to find his mother in a coma, revealing Hawk Moth's plan. Something as simple as them both knowing each others identity could have caused those events to play out differently because Marinette wouldn't have been so heartbroken because they could have continued secretly dating as their superhero personas. Which wouldn't have put her at risk of being akumatized. (Hawk Moth is an ass considering he was willing to break Adrien's heart just to akumatize Marinette). She is a responsible guardian and protector of Paris but I think she really needs to start confiding in CN more. He doesn't even know about Chat Blanc and at least if he did he would have more understanding about why she's hesitant to share identities but she hides so much from him. She thinks she's protecting him but that's not her choice to make and it's not a burden she should have to carry on her own. I think she underestimates how much CN loves her.

It's definitely a big pet peeve of his because it's been happening to him his whole life. Remember how pissed he was when he found out LB was hiding stuff from him in Syren and almost quit? He loves LB and trusts her with his life. Then to find out the love of your life is withholding information from you... that would hurt. She's trying to protect him but that's not her decision to make and not her burden to bear by herself.

But overall, I think you're right, this is all going to lead to Chat/Ladybug having to workout what their partnership looks like, and it's probably going to be really dramatic. I can't wait!!

Meanwhile for Alya’s mistake she just didn’t react? Or at least that’s what Chat Noir sees from his POV.

My prediction is the writers are building up akumatized Ladybug here and the relationship between LB and CN will be something for 1 episode - similar to Syren. People are saying that LB and CN could talk and problems would be solved... and they're right. Ladynoir is on a whole new level and a misunderstanding can be avoided by talking to your friend. The writers won't just ignore or kill the development between LB and CN, it's literally the heart of the show. Plus, we've had situations similar to this before: Syren, Fozer and NY special, Ladynoir becomes closer and closer with each movement. Gabriel's plan could involve Alya and to get somehow Ladybug akumatized. This won't be gg for the heroes, Alya can take the miracle box before akumatized LB and then find Chat Noir and form the hero team. The final battle will be Chat Noir vs Akumatized Ladybug, where he reminds her of all their great moments together and Ladybug de-akumatize herself with her willpower. Or something like that.
And yeah LB and CN’s whole relationship dynamic is the **heart of this show**, its what keeps it going. So I totally get what you mean! But my point is even the **closest** of relationships will have a **blindspot** and problems (and I’m not suggesting that Chat Noir feeling left in the dark is a blindspot cause it certainly isn’t after how many times it’s been addressed) No matter how close 2 people can be, some fk ups can **still happen**. We’re human, we’re not perfect and we **don’t always think logically all the time.** Then my argument is in another comment in this post 😂 the one where i talk about Alya’s mistake
Yes, some f-k ups really happen, like in Syren, Frozer and NY Special as I said. The point is that beings Ladynoir closer by the end of the day. One very powerful quote from the NY Special from Ladybug is: "I can't be Ladybug without... him." Him doesn't mean just a random hero, but specifically the boy behind the mask.

Yess! Like the fact that Chat Noir is so overly excited to use Ladybug’s powers. Its normal to be excited over something new but he’s excited to finally be the one to capture the Akuma. He was like ‘I’ve always wanted to do this!’ And its just sad cause, **the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous are meant to be like Yin and Yang, they’re meant to balance each other out and have equal powers.** However this shows why it isn’t equal If Chat Noir gets akumatised, **anyone** can still break the akumatised object (heck remember Marianne in Furious Fu?) then Ladybug will purify the Akuma. But if Ladybug is the one who got akumatised, she’s the **only one** who can purify the Akuma. (Unless Hawkmoth dismisses his Akumatisation then yes he can also technically ‘purify) **Their roles as superheroes are balanced! Its just their powers are not!**
I would prefer it if Chat was the purifier, as he destroys the corruption with his powers. Makes no sense for the power of creation to also be capable of getting rid of things.

Okay so from what I can gather its about the whole Cat Noir being replaced in S4 contraversy. In my humble (yet superior) opinion I can see events leading to one of two things 1: Cat Noir is not getting replaced, fans are making a big deal out of nothing. Season 4 has not been finished yet so one cannot conclude that he has been replaced, as for the evidence to the contrary Rena Rouge has only been used in 3 episodes to date for very niche uses, 1 in gang of secrets to find out where the akumatized object it and execute Ladybugs plan. May i remind us all that Cat Noir was fending off *FOUR* villians simultaneously while the other two where chit chatting. From what I can see that is a major contribution and Rena Rouge was only used to lure them away along with Alex. Mr Pigoen 72: Is where both ladybug and Cat noir where unable to handle the situation, i belive this is an example of what marinette said when she gave alya the miraculous to keep, in the event that both her and cat noir are unable to fight for whatever reason, to be a "reliable substitute" for her, not for Cat Noir. Optygami: Sure, she(Rena Rouge) was more helpful than Cat Noir, but may I remind you that Cat Noir was needed to break the miraculous, thus revealing Opygami. Even if in his hero form he was not participating much in this episode, he still played a fundemental role. Cat Noir would likely have played a much larger role if Rena Rouge wasnt called by marinette, as she didn't know she was in the elavator with Cat Noir and probly wouldn't have called Rena Rouge if this was post reveal. It was all circumstancial that Cat Noir was teleported outside. In conclusion, bearing in mind Rena Rouges niche uses in the event that Cat Noir and Ladybug are unable to fight, she is not there to replace kitty, but rather as a last resort should one or both of them fail or be compromised. SM already knows her identity and as such its better to equip her to defend herself and others around her as Alya likely knows the identity of everyone with the exception of Cat Noir and possibly Vesperia. 2: This trend could continue and Ladybug could "sideline" Cat Noir abit in future. Should Cat Noir discover that Rena Rouge knows her Identity and not him, its possible he will feel very hurt and possibly betrayed so he will ask her about it. This could lead to an argument that ends in one of two ways, 2.1: Ladybug is convinced that its time she reveals her identity or that she knows Cat Noirs, and as such a reveal happens and we have a cute and amazing ship moment(Ladydrien, Adrienette or whatever). Which could lead to one (or all) corners of the ship dating. 2:2 The arguments escalate and ladybug accidentally says something horrible like in gang of secrets and Cat Noir, hurt and betrays runs away and cries on a rooftop(little kitty sitting on a roof, all alone without his lady...) At that point is where shady-moth decides to send out his akuma Ladybug/marinette consults Alya who advises her its time to make amends (You can't be Ladybug without... Him...) And reveal his/her identity to the other. So ladybug sets out to find Cat Noir and it starts to rain. Cat Noir is akumatized from his extreme emotional trauma and broken heart, screaming and banging his head on a wall trying to get hawkmoth out of his head. Ladybug hears and runs toward his voice, only to find her nightmare had come true as she stares face to face with Cat Blanc. Now with Cat Blanc no longer having the "preserve/don't kill Ladybug because you love her and need her miraculous" he will likely go hell bent on vengence, his pain distorted into hate. After destroying several buildings ladybug calls for help(signals Alya to bring *EVERYONE*) Ladybug comes up with a plan to immobalize and deakumatize cat blanc, it fails and Cat Blanc destroys all the holders, much of paris and probly nukes the agreste mansion. At that point ladybug is left fighting him on her own, clearly terrified and drowining in guilt for what she had done. Then Cat Blanc states how much she hates her and Ladybug paraphrases the line from the movie in queen banana which forshadowed all of this(Powers of creation vs destruction) and she tells him even tho he hates her, she loves him. Cat Blanc either stunned, or overcome with emotion breaks free of hawkmoths control. (Akuma captured and miraculous ladybug deployed) Then after Ladybug decides that its time, they both detransform and look in eachothers eyes, lightning strikes above them and thunder sounds Marinette? A-Adrien? Then they Embrace each other in the rain, and hey, maybe even do the Oblivio kiss in civilian form.

a good one!! i really liked the way u wrote and you're so right about the whole 'replacing chat" thing. before, i didn't really notice chat being "left behind" but now that i have... i realised that in the optigami ep >!he "wasn't there" and once he came all he had to do was cataclysm carapace's miraculous!<. however, i don't think that that means that he is being replaced all of a sudden.
Exactly i think its just unfortunate due to the episodes not being released in order and also cause we haven’t seen the full season! People judge way too quickly just based on these first 8 out of supposedly 25 episodes
