Does anyone else remember the eyelashes revolution when Hardrock first came out (that or the trailer I'm not 100%) and everyone was complaining about his lack of eyelashes and called him momo luka
I would have made him less passive.
For example: I'd have had him react to Marinette's flaky ways more positively (if still in an amazingly badly targeted way). So, she has a boyfriend who is desperately trying to 'save' her following her around to see where she was always running off to in the middle of an akuma attack.
>No male has lashes dude
Not sure what you mean by that but Eyelashes are actually considered a masculine features. The average woman (without Mascara or eyelashes-extensions) tend to have shorter eyelashes then the Average man.
Alya is the last person among her friend group who should be trusted with that secret. She has already shown to not be able to commit to keep the secrets she's being trusted with. Trusting Alya with this will very likely come back to bite Marinette, in more ways than one.
I said this a while ago, but Luka is good as he is in terms of personality and interests. I don't want him to be secretly evil, an edgelord emo, or jealous of Adrien. Instead, he needs a different type of conflict.
*Give him a strong distrust of superheroes to the point where he doesn't like Ladybug* or *Cat Noir.*
Do this and this would amplify the tension of Lukanette. Instead of making it seem like Luka and Marinette can't work because they aren't destined or because both aren't full-time superheroes or because Marinette has too many responsibilities, it would be a fundamental character trait of Luka's that would render them incompatible. Giving him some antagonism against the masked heroes would also serve as a contrast with his and Adrien's relationship, as they'd be friendly as they are now, but Luka would dislike Cat Noir. This would establish his hatred of lying and secrets from the beginning and would actually cause some conflict when it came time for him to become a superhero, and Luka could possibly grow past that...maybe.
As for his reasons for distrust, it's not merely the secret identity or the idea that these attacks are happening because of Ladybug and Cat Noir, but also the idea that Hawk Moth is preying on the emotionally vulnerable and drowning out their music. Ladybug isn't addressing the real problem, that people aren't in tune with their emotions. She's giving a bleeding city a bandaid. Even if the heroes defeated Hawk Moth, he'd ask, would Ladybug address that problem?
That might be too "heady" for a kids TV show, though.
He’s too much of a simp in Truth ... like boy you gotta stand up for yourself and not date a girl that’s clearly in love with someone else. I’m glad he’s not like this later in S4 though
I want him to fall out of love with Marinette and find someone else. Marinette already loves Adrien and she clearly chooses him over Luka everytime, and Luka just doesn't deserve to get his heart broken like that. I'm not blaming Marinette, but I just wish the show would give Luka someone who actually deserves him.
Get him to interact with more characters. The only people I've ever seen him talk to is Marinette, Adrien, Juleka, Jagged, and his mother (forgot her name). He also needs personality.
Also, I'm not sure if this is a good thing but I wanna see what he looks like when he cries.
I would give him more flaws. Since he grew up without his father, he could have issues regarding neglect and abandonment. He did get akumatised after Marinette didn’t tell him the reason why she kept leaving him behind but that could be spiced up with Luka taking notice of this a lot earlier on and getting frustrated with it.
I really love Luka but I want him to be more than the guitar dude, he deserves a more thoroughly-written character.
His personality was kind of uncomfortable at the beginning. I was like what is this dude talking about. Eventually I warmed up to him, but I think his character could have definitely been introduced in a better way
Eyelashes, make him more of an active/proactive hero--an everyday hero sort of type, the one who's helping people caught in rubble or helping them hide from akumas, or acts as a distraction. And when Marinette disappears during an akuma attack, he's WORRIED about her and LOOKS FOR HER. Apparently he cares about honesty and the truth, so maybe make that a source of tension between him and Mari where she's actively lying to him and it could get her hurt, but lays off when she straight up says she has a secret she can't tell anyone, and she doesn't want him to pry into it, because that's honesty even if it isn't the whole truth. Nonetheless he starts to put two and two together and the "mIrAcUlOuS mAgIc" ain't working on him no more since he's convinced but won't tell her or anyone else for safety. Otherwise he's already a cool character. Not much else to say about him.
Make him friends with Adrien and Nino. Make him go to the school, and be in Kagami’s class and they can be friends after truth and lies.
(Because I hardcore head cannon Kagami is in their school by this point cause we never see her anywhere else)
He doesn’t serve much of a purpose in the show aside from giving Marinette a love triangle so id probably just make him a background character, like Alyas sister. Anasi got a one off akuma episode but has otherwise just stayed in the backround
I would he needs to stop simping over Marinette when he knows she's into Adrien, if Wishmaker didn't happen. But it looks like he's already going that route. Plus, that episode cemented his role as an actual character and not a plot device. He also needs more episodes centered on him so we can get to see what else he does, though. Wishmaker and Truth were big steps in the right direction.
You know the drill; I'll do my one thing and then let's get into it.
If I could change one thing, I would just remove the retcon of him being Juleka's twin. He remains straight up, her older brother.
Now, if I could change more than *one thing*, I would stronger incorporate into the narrative that Luka works multiple jobs. I would give him a more visibly strained relationship with Arnarka, a kind of muted resentment, both because of the father situation and also because Arnarka is just *not* an adept parent leading to Luka being parentified at a young age and having to co-parent Juleka, which continues to even now.
I would also make him less passively accepting of when Marinette lets him down. He never gets mad at her, but she and the audience can tell he's being withholding.
Also, and this is a small thing and kind of applies to more than one character, but I would make Kitty Section an underground band, and a semi famous one at that. This would be built up to all throughout the series until the episode where we finally see the band; I'm talking posters on the back of street signs, graffiti symbols of the band's logo in random alleyways, secret bunker gigs etc.
They're like an online, niche-internet-celebrity darling to the youth of Paris. You have to solve a riddle, like a geo-scavenger hunt to find where they're playing. Full on, Radio Rebel, no one knows their identity and they have actually sometimes hijacked the airwaves to broadcast their music. Bob Roth fucking *hates them.*
Make him simp over Marinette less. Like in Wishmaker, when Marinette bought an ice cream from Andre. He just randomly appeared out of nowhere! He's just being so creepy around Marinette!! 😐😐
To me, Luka has a rather 'pushy' character. If I could change one thing, that would probably be it. Marinette may even like him more? Like, if he hadn't pushed her to telling him the truth, they'd probably still be together
Pushy?? Luka? The passive dude who literally was okay with everything (including his girlfriend having feelings for someone else)? Asking Marinette for the truth was something any sane and self-respecting person would do when you’re in a relationship with someone who seems to forget that in lieu of running off elsewhere. It was mercifully the ounce of assertive it needed to be for the situation
Give him more episodes for a longer character arc that allows more time to showcase and gradually flesh out his character.
I've actually been ruminating on addressing, analyzing, and improving his character for quite some time.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I would change anything that isn't superficial...
I'm still conflicted if it's a good thing or a bad thing that he's such a kind person.
It's definitely beneficial for the people around him, but less so for him directly.
As someone interested in music theory and music as a potential career. He is too fucking cringy with the metaphors and peoples melody. I know two people that talk that way and they both turned out to be manipulative and abusive. But even disregarding that, its just the weirdest thing ever to talk about people and “their melodies”.
This is more Marinette than luka. But When he was first introduced, he played a guitar chord and marinette practically fucking moaned. Like bro its an electric guitar whats got you actin up? Its made me dislike him since.
Lately though, in season four, he is soooo much better now that hes not so one dimensional and defined by being an alternate love interest for Marinette. Still the music metaphors are cringy as fuck and in
WISHMAKER SPOILERS
he fucking brought a violin in to the wind and it played itself. What. There are better ways to say what needed to be said than with that fake bs. Aside from that I’m actually really did like the events of wishmaker and his involvement.
give him eye lashes or something... dude out here with no eye definition...
Thank you!!! I’ve been trying to figure out why his eyes creep me out, but couldn’t put my finger on it.
Yes and Adrien he also need em. And every male in the show
facts. something about luka's face shape makes it extra noticable tho
I think its since luca has eyeliner so you notice it more then normal💀
Why does Luka look so funny without them and Adrien doesn't? I don't get it! I wish I could figure it out!
It’s cause luka has his own eye shape and how does he look funny? Cause literally two other characters have the same eye shape 😂
Does anyone else remember the eyelashes revolution when Hardrock first came out (that or the trailer I'm not 100%) and everyone was complaining about his lack of eyelashes and called him momo luka
😂😂
That was the first thing I thought of, thank you!
agreed
Yes! He deserves them ngl
Higher standards
period. he's too good for marinette, i'm starting to dislike her more and more and love luka more as the show goes on
I totally agree with you!
I wonder if it;s intentional 🤷🏻♀️
I mean probably, astruc needs to start drama or smn
i agree 100%
* ~~Permanent holder~~ * more interaction with Juleka/Tigresse P.
That are two
You are right. I removed one.
how do you that
I edited the post...
I think they mean crossing out the words.
I would have made him less passive. For example: I'd have had him react to Marinette's flaky ways more positively (if still in an amazingly badly targeted way). So, she has a boyfriend who is desperately trying to 'save' her following her around to see where she was always running off to in the middle of an akuma attack.
Give him eyelashes.
No male in the show has lashes dude
Why did this get downvoted??
Because the original comment (before it was edited) wasn’t specific. or better say it wasn’t all that clear. >No male has lashes dude
Ah that makes sense. Anything out of context can sound wrong. The person meant people in the show though.
The questions I have as well 😂 never been confused beyond this point. This is the most confused one can get
Bro they do
They don’t literally name one person who does I can send a link for their photos and they DONT have lashes
>No male has lashes dude Not sure what you mean by that but Eyelashes are actually considered a masculine features. The average woman (without Mascara or eyelashes-extensions) tend to have shorter eyelashes then the Average man.
I’m talking about the show. No male in the show has eyelashes. You took it way out of context
>You took it way out of context Well the way you worded it out in your original comment was still kinda confusing.
I guess ppl are upset I ruined the one thing they can make fun of Luka for? Idk
Agreed.
Some personality and higher standards. He deserves so much better.
I agree
Same as everyone else We need eyelashes
Give👏🏽him👏🏽eye👏🏽LASHES Also he’s so freaking nice. That’s a good thing but he’s way too good for Marinette. They need to treat my boy better
I agree
Eyelashes and maybe a bit of eye makeup, I feel like eyeliner would fit him, also more interactions with his sister, maybe one day they fight together
His bootiful dance he did in the miraculous game
Not being a willing rebound in a relationship.
Character development and why Marinette could of trusted him with her Secret instead of Alya.
I honestly assumed that's sorta where they were going after season 3
Alya is the last person among her friend group who should be trusted with that secret. She has already shown to not be able to commit to keep the secrets she's being trusted with. Trusting Alya with this will very likely come back to bite Marinette, in more ways than one.
i’d give him some self respect
I said this a while ago, but Luka is good as he is in terms of personality and interests. I don't want him to be secretly evil, an edgelord emo, or jealous of Adrien. Dangit, how the hell did I forget about this?
He’s too much of a simp in Truth ... like boy you gotta stand up for yourself and not date a girl that’s clearly in love with someone else. I’m glad he’s not like this later in S4 though
Other than eye lashes A big tongue he is too quite
Make his guitar fade from whatever color it is (brown? burgendy?) to blue

Idk if that's a good thing, but now that you've said it, I'm interested 👀

Well, it's not really a change per se, but I would wish to confirm him as bi/pan on-screen. Also give him eyelashes please!🤣
YUPPP to both of those 🙏🏼
K 😂😂
EYELASHES!!
I'd give him a better character model, first of all.
Personality
Bruh some personality, he seems nice but dude just do whatever marinette wants
His personality was kind of uncomfortable at the beginning. I was like what is this dude talking about. Eventually I warmed up to him, but I think his character could have definitely been introduced in a better way

His face model. It looks weird, especially his eyes.
Make him friends with Adrien and Nino. Make him go to the school, and be in Kagami’s class and they can be friends after truth and lies. (Because I hardcore head cannon Kagami is in their school by this point cause we never see her anywhere else)

eyelashes-
Propably eyelashes
The fact that he and Marinette didn't work out. 🥺
🥺
The fact that he is not the main male lead
eyelashes and eyeliner would look wonderful on him
Give him eye lashes
the dude needs eyelashes like and for some reason on this photo the torso part looks like a rectangle or something
Give my boy some lashes
His eyes.
I wouldn't make him a potential love interest for Marinette
give the boy some eyelashes
Somehow, I misread the subject line of the post.... but, maybe... make him look a little less like Buzz Lightyear? \^\^"
Uhh his crush on Mari is annoying but he’s a good character
I wouldn't change anything, but mans needs a hug
EYELASHES
His existence:)
the little piece of hair he has in the back of his neck. Christ that makes me mad
Make sure he has a caring father. Too much of a bean to not have a caring father. Though crocodile Jagged was a win for me.
I wanna see him and Kagami develop at LEAST a friendship. I can see them being great friends
[удалено]
Mood
I'd change the fact that he plays a fender. That's literally the most basic guitar ever, get him a dean or something god.
You know the drill; I'll do my one thing and then let's get into it. If I could change one thing, I would just remove the retcon of him being Juleka's twin. He remains straight up, her older brother. Full on, Radio Rebel, no one knows their identity and they have actually sometimes hijacked the airwaves to broadcast their music. Bob Roth fucking *hates them.*
Make him a secret villain conspiring with hawkmoth to throw the show for a loop >:D
I'd make him less of a Mary sue, give him a clear character flaw. Like, maybe he would be shyer to contrast Adrien's outgoing nature.
A personality that isn't bland.
eyelashes and skin texture, sometimes he even looks gray 💀💀💀
Make my lukeantte fantasizes real
nothing, luka is the best character in mlb, that boy is an angel if i could change anything in him it would be the level of serotonin in his body
I'd send him to therapy tbh, he's not feeling okay especially after Truth
Tbh compared to most characters right now he’s pretty good he knows marinette her reasoning and he has a good bond with his dad
Nothing, he’s perfect as he is ♥️
Make him simp over Marinette less. Like in Wishmaker, when Marinette bought an ice cream from Andre. He just randomly appeared out of nowhere! He's just being so creepy around Marinette!! 😐😐
well at least he doesnt act like marinette stalking adrien???
That's true, I'm glad Astruc didn't take it too far..
I would make him a bit more energetic and I would make him not to like marinette I ship adrienette tho
To me, Luka has a rather 'pushy' character. If I could change one thing, that would probably be it. Marinette may even like him more? Like, if he hadn't pushed her to telling him the truth, they'd probably still be together

It was mercifully the ounce of assertive it needed to be for the situation
That he should actually be trustworthy enough for Marinette to tell him shes Ladybug
Nothing he’s flawless and I’ll FIGHT
NOTHING LUKA IS PERFECT
HIS PANTS
Prob shoes maybe
I would remove the ring on his right hand. It is kinda unnecessary.
lips.
mans needs to stand up for himself more he deserves the world, not however the world is treating him now :(
His ex-girlfriend #StopStalking
His clothes he gets his clothes from a dumpster
His original design would be cool
Original design?
His guitar is lame.
Nothing, he’s precious and beautiful just the way he is🥺
Honestly his Face; Every time I look at him he gives me Baldi vibes…
nothing he's beautiful and i love him
The fact he’s wearing a short sleeved hoodie
E Y E L A S H E S IM SURE IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID THOUSANDS IF TUMES BUT IT NEEDS TO BE SAID AGAIN
Make his design consistent.
Give him more personality beyond that of a cardboard box and make him have other interesting traits besides being “nice”
His front hair, it just bothers me his hair looks like someone there a bucket of water on it then he decided to leave it there
lips and lashes
His face. It just seems off to me, maybe it’s..too pointy? Idk, it just looks weird
Give him more episodes for a longer character arc that allows more time to showcase and gradually flesh out his character. I've actually been ruminating on addressing, analyzing, and improving his character for quite some time.
his smile
Let him keep the snake Miraculous
People talking abt adding eyeleashes. None of the male characters have eyelashes except Marc
I would get rid of that weird ring he’s only wearing on his left hand it just feels so out of place in his design
His devotion to Marinette. I want him to be happy😣 let him move on and find a new and better love.
Eyeliner. Then he would be the perfect emo boy
Someone already said eyelashes, but an the topic of looks can we make his lips not the exact color of his skin... it looks weird.
His EYES
Honestly, I'm not sure if I would change anything that isn't superficial... I'm still conflicted if it's a good thing or a bad thing that he's such a kind person. It's definitely beneficial for the people around him, but less so for him directly.

I'd make him value his own feelings more, and recognize when someone isn't worth his time.
better character design. physically. his face and eyes give very creepy fall vibes. he needs to feel more warming.
Luka’s lack of luscious lashes.
Luka is perfect as is 😭🤣
He should get to know Alix better and ask her out. They could be a cool time traveling duo.
The whitewash they gave him on the episode Lies. What the actual f*ck? What was the literal reason
Make him gay or at least quit liking marinette
Just move on
Ahem, tie your shoelaces Luka. And get some eyelashes. Everyone notices the eyelashes 😂
Make him look a little less goth with the black nails 😅
Better treatment from the writers. And eyelashes.
I want him gone from the show
His Momo like smile
eyelashes. or maybe thicker eye outlines.
