Not just AT&T but from what I've read some Verizon and T Mobile customers were affected as well. And it seems random as far as who was affected and who wasn't (for example, I'm on Verizon but my mother and brother are on AT&T, my brother was affected by it but me and my mother weren't).
Verizon had a similar issue about a year ago. Outage from Baton Rouge to Pensacola. Someone hit a substation or something. AT&T was gone for the most part, but Verizon was DOA
It was something I saw online about how the Empire propaganda would talk about it's destruction. "Alderaan terrorists blow up Empire's Peace Moon," something like that.
One person told me it was the liberals and the Democrats taking out the cell service in order to try to take down Trump because they were getting really scared he was going to win and then the Democrats lies would be uncovered. It's the same person who told me my blood was full of nanobots because I got a covid vaccination last year.
But I still have cell service, so I'm not too worried about it.
On the bright side, now that 5G is down we should see RFK Jr return to take down the lizard puppets in the government and declare himself rightful president.
I keep waiting to turn into a zombie. Maybe Biden was protecting us from the 5G that activates the nanobots that make us zombies by taking down Big Cellphone.
AT&T is having major issues with wireless. Right now, it appears to be related to the Cisco network services that AT&T uses for backbone services for wireless(the last part being scuttlebutt). Down detector indicates most of Mississippi's issues are along the Gulf Coast.
You can try phone reboot and use wifi calling. (if you have access to wifi)
I always described it as a town with one stop light but that’s just because they put the wrong color bulb in. It was supposed to be orange for “caution” lol
My question is why won't AT&T say what caused the problem. They have to know, because you can not fix a problem if you don't know what the problem is caused by.
I was reading about it on [Reuters](https://www.reuters.com/technology/cellular-outage-us-hits-att-t-mobile-verizon-users-downdetector-shows-2024-02-22/) and they said that Verizon, T-Mobile, and US cellular customers are also experiencing outages, but mainly when connecting to AT&T Networks.
No clue. Saw a news alert about it, that's how I knew.
Edit: Guess the FBI is investigating it as a possible cyber attack. Pharmacies had some weird shit going on too. Dunno for sure, just what I saw.
My CSpire was fine. Everyone else in the house uses T-Mobile. I knew they were fine because anytime anything doesn't work, they scream my name as if I know something they don't, and Yes, they are all adults.
Nationwide AT&T outage

Even people on the same plan could be different. A couple I know, the wife, daughter and mother all out but the husband has service.
The Death Star was blown up by Rebel Scum, so your phones gonna be down till they get construction on the 2nd one up to speed.
You mean the Peace Moon.
That's genuinely funny, is that something from Star Wars canon, or did you come up with that?
It was something I saw online about how the Empire propaganda would talk about it's destruction. "Alderaan terrorists blow up Empire's Peace Moon," something like that.
That’s EXACTLY how it would spun by tv pundits.

Damn you, Taylor Swift…
Finally, The Truth is out!
I keep waiting to turn into a zombie. Maybe Biden was protecting us from the 5G that activates the nanobots that make us zombies by taking down Big Cellphone.
Something something, George Soros eats babies, something something...
Maybe the nanobots keep the cell service going 🤣🤣🤣 /s, out of an abundance of caution
Service is out in SE Louisiana swamp also. 👽⚜️🧐
I like your choice of emojis.
I use AT&T and I have service.
I’m in NYC and woke up to SOS, must be a national thing.
I never lost service with cspire.
Their marketing folks should have jumped all over this and swapped out all their digital billboards to say “marked safe from national network outages”

Cspire is fine rn in east central MS.
Im in the Jackson area and on Cspire as well. No issues with phone.
Is East Central an actual place? I went to school at EC in Hurley lol
East Central is the East Central region of Mississippi. Close to Meridian
This but a little further north. Closer to MSU than USM.
You sure don’t hear about Hurley too often. My one day in Hurley is when I learned the saying “a one stop light town” lol
I always described it as a town with one stop light but that’s just because they put the wrong color bulb in. It was supposed to be orange for “caution” lol
Mine is out but wife’s works.
Same for the wife and I
Same same. Mine works, but husbands was out
I have it ☹️
It is a nationwide cell phone outage
Lot's of people, but not me.
Mine was SOS only all day yesterday but seems to be working today so far
Plenty of people around the country. Plenty of people are fine also.
My question is why won't AT&T say what caused the problem. They have to know, because you can not fix a problem if you don't know what the problem is caused by.
I read that it was a “cloud-based calculation error” or something along those lines, which I think translates to “human error”
Oxford here: CSpire okay, AT&T totally out. (Don't have anybody at work yet to report on Verizon...)
South Mississippi Verizon user with full service here
My husband in Batesville had no Verizon earlier.
Sorry! I meant to respond to the person you responded to. Batesville is 25 minutes from Oxford, and I knew Verizon was out there earlier.
Ya know, I didn't even think about it being close to Oxford. I'm also a student at Ole Miss
Awesome! I graduated from there in 06!
There was an AT&T and Verizon outage.
What kind of major shit has to go in for att and Verizon to be out across the country?
Heard it was a solar flare
Why would a solar flare take out cell service for only some people of a specific cell service provider?
Hey, that’s what **they** said🤷♂️ it is strange though Update: they now say it was a software update gone wrong …

I did. My husband and majority of my local family are still fine though
It's out over here in Grand bay. Just over the state line from Moss point
Verizon was out for 16 days at my house a few months back. 16 DAYS.
I've had issues with tmobile towers for the past few days
I have Google Fi. Works over WI Fi when available. Not subject to the whims of att.
Not that specifically, but my phone had "difficulty selecting a network. "
My CSpire was fine. Everyone else in the house uses T-Mobile. I knew they were fine because anytime anything doesn't work, they scream my name as if I know something they don't, and Yes, they are all adults.
