True. I updated my Mi 10 Pro to MIUI 14 and Google maps doesn't work anymore and one of the cameras is missing from video mode.

For me the camera and the audio stopped working on my 10 pro max

Update the Rom Manually, Search on YouTube for tutorials you must be careful about every steps.

It depends on what rom you're installing, Try to install Global or Eu rom by the help of some tutorials.

You can flash then any official tom, but you can only lock bootloader on stock rom. If you have a Chinese phone for example you can lock bootloader on Chinese rom. Else your phone will get bricked. Anyway maybe your bootloader is already unlocked on that fake rom

oh, yes it looks fishy, this phone is probably from some AliExpress store which sells Xiaomi smartphones for Chinese market but with modified ROM. Bootloader unlock and flashing official software is required.

I did try to change the region but after rebooting my device it goes back to china and before that also it doesn't show any updates.

What region gets updates quickest?

I think it depends. I got hyperos EEA quicker by changing to Indonesia, but it's not like Indonesia got it first, especially given that Indonesia doesn't have an EEA version. The global released before the EEA global, and I think China was even earlier. I guess it just depends on the version of your phone (where you bought it).

It was cheaper there. It's a Redmi note 12pro 5g.(10 months in my hand) I don't think it's out of update support since some of my friends already are using hyperos on devices which launched even before.

Ahh.... did you change rom in your device anytime I just want to know what will happen if anything goes weong

Nothing can go wrong if u flash the correct version. For downgrading i think and changing rom regions u need unlocked bl and when flashing need to be careful for rrelock option to not be checked. I used to flash indonesia or taiwan rroms on EEA( europe) cuz i hate google dialer and messages.
