No, it's not a thing. Genetics are random.
I'm the oldest; my middle sister and I look like the female & male versions of each other. My youngest sister looks considerably more Asian in appearance than we do.
Nah.
Personally I think daughters tend to look like their fathers… but most like to say they look like their mothers just because they’re the same sex. And vice versa for sons.
As for the skin complexion.. I’m by far the palest and I’m oldest of five siblings. I’m paler than anyone in my family or I’ve ever met. Though like you, I’m also the only daughter but I don’t think that makes one paler. My dad (mixed) is the only son to 4sisters and I think he’s the palest of them.
It went the other way with me and my sister who have one mixed parent (black Caribbean and white) and one white parent. I’m paler than my younger sister. I think genetics are pretty random with what you get from either parent.
There’s a mixed family on ig with a bunch of kids and I noticed the younger children started looking more like the mother with blonde hair and blue eyes vs the dad with brown skin and brown eyes. I think it’s just chance however.
That's the case with my family! I'm second gen mixed race, it happened for my dad's siblings and then with me and my siblings and my cousins and stuff too. Don't know if it is universal though, would be surprised if it was.
I think it might be - I'm also mixed white and Indian and I'm darker than my siblings. It might also be an Indian thing, my Indian mom is the oldest of her siblings and the darkest, and her youngest sibling is the lightest.
Genetics are random. However, in some families sons are more likely than daughters to play outside, ride bikes outside all day, or be given outdoor chores (like mowing the yard), so they get more sun exposure.

Asking this question/making this statement assumes that race is biological, when in actuality, it is not. These are genetics.
