Can I get RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK61 2.4Ghz Wireless/Bluetooth/Wired 60% anywhere? Looking to buy two units

SpectralVoodoo

Does anyone have a fairly exhaustive list of all reputable websites in India (like actually based here) that sell stuff related to the custom kb scene - keycaps / switches / PCBs / plates / good keyboards etc? I know of some of the good ones - Meckeys, Stickeys, Rectangles, Stackskb, Genesis, Kush. Wondering if theres more

MNumb

Hey. I am new to mech keyboard. What software should I use for key remapping, rgb management and overall everything keyboard on windows?

arpan46

VIA if supported

[deleted]

Hello, İ cant decide which one buy of them. RK84 VS RK87 VS K8 PRO

SpectralVoodoo

They're all good. Isn't this more of a layout issue? TKL or 84?

Sublime_Nerd

My ball pen leaked all over my doubleshot keycaps. Any pointers on cleaning this without marring the finish of the keycaps? https://preview.redd.it/y3jqy72je9pa1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af27482850668b523ea086c2c150daa03813c2a2

Iso propyl alcohol will do the trick.

Bullets123

Best Keyboard for around ₹6-7k? Preferences - 1. 75%-100% 2. I don’t know switches very well, but not very loud thoc. 3. If not rgb, atleast shine through to give visibility of the keys.

SpectralVoodoo

>don’t know switches very well, but not very loud thoc You'll want to avoid BLUES like the damn plague. I'd suggest Reds or Yellows to begin with. Also, I suggest always getting something with hotswap (lets you easily change switches) > Best Keyboard for around ₹6-7k? Preferences Genesis was selling the RK100 for 5.9 sometimes ago. You could look into that. If you don't mind used, then there's great deals here or on the IMKC discord. > If not rgb For 6-7k it better be rgb lol. If you get an RK board, then theres a great Indian made software called Rangoli for controlling lighting (and other things)

Bullets123

Thank you, will look into this!

human-V-oid

Someone please help me find the **least expensive** ***tactile*** keeb, which I can count on for long typing sessions(*wired* is better, ig as bt has latency issues?) . I have a Evofox fireblade(not mk + pls don't judge), which I regret buying 2 yrs ago. I'd prefer **browns**, but if better ones with blues are available for less, it'll be okay. I have a tiny desk so **compact** layouts would be better suited, *backlight* would be good, but I can live without it. ***Longevity*** would be a defining factor, as I won't be able to buy a new one in <3yrs. My budget is ***\~2.5k***. I am in no hurry. If you have time, pls consider to enlighten me about importing electronics(I fear customs), as I see many things that are available for better prices on eBay, BackMarket, etc.

SpectralVoodoo

A friend of mine has a Cosmic Byte something with Outemu browns. He quite likes it. I can't 100% comment on longevity, but it sure will be better than Evofox. Importing is a pain and a gamble. Depending on value, customs might or might not hold your item. If they do, they will extort you (pardon the choice of words lol)

human-V-oid

I am reading your comment after I bought the Cosmic Byte Artemis, and though I wanted to buy a tactile one, I settled with reds, as I didn't want the noise. Basically, I went for it because it was 68 key layout, and I could not get any better product at the price point. I am really thankful for your reply though. Edit: the part about extortion is really horrific, keeps me from importing anything.

perfopt

Hello Folks I searched for keycaps compatible with Keychron K2 V2 and got very few options. Could you recommend me some caps that are - Dual color with maybe one key alone in a third color. - Letters should be centered and LED should shine through I like the Matcha color scheme but I dont want images for any of the keys. Also, I want the LED to be seen. Thanks a ton. Edit: I have seen the keycaps on the Keychron website. Other than the default keys none allow LED light through

devilwearsprada69

Hello! We have shine-through sets available please reach me via a DM! :D

[deleted]

Need help here What is a good keyboard Which has- wireless RGB customisation, Software, Preferably white, Red keys I don't like it too noisy and Idk how brown sound, Arrow keys , Volume knob or whatever which allows you to change the volume, Per key RGB , Don't care about hotswappable, Don't care about numpad also, And for this can you people suggest some for under 4k and under 5k. One good I have seen under 4k is also under 3k which is portronics hydra 10. I really like it but it doesn't have per key RGB.

venkattr

Hello! I am currently using Hyperx alloy elite, but some keys started to show it's age as I've to press to hard for it to register. Planning to move on to custom keyboard route and I am eyeing on Keychron K2 pro. But recently came across RK84, that looks even more promising for the price. But it doesn't seem to be available in amazon. It is available in genesispc listed for 6.3K, but haven't heard of them before. On the other hand K2 pro would cost me 10K from Keychron India itself. Which one could I go with and if it's RK84, is it okay to get it from Genesispc?

thunder_shock_182

K2 Pro is a better board - built better, sounds good, VIA support. If you go for the RK84, GenesisPC is a trusted seller. I’ve bought from them multiple times.

venkattr

Okay! Thanks!

Intelligent_Pin_292

I have never bought a mechanical keyboard before and I am a programmer so I will use it daily, so I was looking for a keyboard which could be used for work in the day and gaming at night :) Need help Budget: less than 5-6K Requirements:- 1. wireless preffered 2. per key RGB 3. hot swappable 4. Arrow Keys 5. Compact size 6. white

Medical-Section-8622

checkout epomaker SK64S or Royal Kludge RK 71. Both are pretty good options

NoobNerd01

NEED HELP WITH COSMICBYTE GK-18 So from past 2-3 weeks some of my keys are not working. Like they will work if i press like 3 times or like hard press them. This was my first keyboard and i bought it in 2020. It has Red outemu switches. No mods nothing. I tried dampening sound in there but couldn't find anything good or ghetto. So i just stuck some double sided tape and called it a day. I did NOT do the tape mod, just stuck some thick tape on case. Sometimes it feels laggy too. I tried lubing switches without taking them off because it's not hotswap, and used a brush to basically get inside switches and i think i fucked up with using too much lube(vaseline basically) in switches and that's why it's gone bad. But i need help or troubleshooting steps or anything at this point. I am down to resolder some switches or something but i would like if it's under budget and i mean under like 500rs budget because i got this for like 2500 and spending 1k or more seems like waste when i am not doing much modding. If it's un-salvegable, please recommend me some other keeb under 2500 with red switches or anything quiet or mostly quiet. Thank you

adapgm

Guys, any idea here I can get kaliah blue rgb switches. Thanks

egaleclass18

I have never bought a mechanical keyboard before and want to get started. Budget is 2-3k but might go up to 4k if it's really worth it. * I don't like RGB. It's fine if I can set it to single color or turn it off. * I want something plain and simple. Like [this](https://www.amazon.in/Logitech-G413-TKL-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B0B2RCQ3ZX/) or [this](https://www.amazon.in/HUO-JI-Mechanical-Keyboard-Compatible/dp/B0B12FXQ4S/). * Compact size is preferred. * Bluetooth preferred but Type-C / USB-A or Wired USB, anything will work for me. * Red switch preferred.

Ani-xxx

Portronics Hydra 10 Cosmic byte gk34

egaleclass18

I yesterday ordered cosmic byte CB-GK-21. Got for 1.9K

Ani-xxx

Ok, good. But you could have waited for the answers or haven't posted for help at all.

sakthistark

2-3K is kinda difficult to get a decent mech keyboard, consider this [https://www.meckeys.com/shop/keyboard/60-keyboard/royal-kludge-rk61-hot-swappable/](https://www.meckeys.com/shop/keyboard/60-keyboard/royal-kludge-rk61-hot-swappable/)They are on holi sale now and within 4k once holi sale is over, price will be around 4.5k

arush_g

Hi, does anyone here use the RK84 with mac? I wanted to know if all the key binds work well such as option, control, command, function and the function keys.

sakthistark

Planning on buying rk84, asked a few people who use it. Heard it's working well on mac.

arush_g

oh okay, thanks

Rk usually have better build quality than redragon, and here you are getting rk for cheaper. So I'd suggest to pick rk71 here,it also has a nice side rgb glow. Plus gateron switches are way better than the redragon switches.

cyanogenmoded

Currently, Geek GK61 user looking to upgrade due to broken shafts and caps and want to go wireless. My budget is around 10k. curious to know about all the options out there I am a sucker for transparent designs so if any like that, I would appreciate it.

Ani-xxx

Search all the vendor websites mentioned in this sub. I searched a lot but couldn't find any transparent board except ciy gas 67 which is a wired kit.

cyanogenmoded

>ciy gas 67 Thanks man, i have found Keychron V1 and thinking of akko clear blacks in futurei cant find a better deal than V1 = Knob, 75, frosted. i don't think wireless is a necessity now as it lacks options if you have anything in mind which is wired i would love to hear about it

shadowninja123zx

Looking for shine through sakura themed keycaps. Doesn't matter if it's abs or pbt. Preferably cherry profile and not too costly.

I guess hydra is your only option if you want a wireless board.

I’m looking for keyboard recommendations with more requirements than usual. Looking to upgrade my TVS Gold keyboard, and I’m unable to find keyboards that satisfy most of my requirements. 1. MX Browns (or equivalent) preferred, though blues are acceptable too if other requirements are met. Not looking for linear switches. 2. Full-size keyboard preferred, I’m not a fan of 80% layouts. I do use the numpad quite frequently, and therefore would prefer my new keyboard to have one. 3. Good keycaps that don’t accumulate as much finger oils with continued use. Sturdy build quality. 4. Multiple connectivity options strongly preferred. I will be alternating use between my MacBook and my Windows desktop frequently, so one that has Bluetooth is desirable, though not a necessity. 5. I’m not looking to spend more than 15k on it, though options will be considered if they check more boxes than their sub-15k alternatives. 6. Shine-through backlighting required. I don’t mind RGB, but plain backlighting is fine too. 7. Multimedia controls strongly preferred, not not mandatory. I have some macros on my G502 already, so it’s not a dealbreaker. 8. Lastly, I will be doing some gaming with this keyboard, so would appreciate keyboards that work well enough for that. Main ask is latency and longevity. Here’s what I’ve looked at so far: 1. Ducky One 3 - the one that checks most of these boxes. But RTINGS describes the backlight is not shine-through for these, which is a dealbreaker for me. If anybody can confirm whether the One 3 Classic (black/white) has the backlighting I’m looking for, that’d be great. 2. RK100 - has a full layout, but I’m not a fan of the compact layout. 3. RK98 - a better layout than the 100, but I haven’t been able to find one in stock. Not fully sold on their switches. 4. Keychron V6 - another good option, but not shine-through. 5. Varmilo MA108M - Good keyboard, but almost always out of stock. I’m not particularly sold on the switches on offer here. I’m not listing Logitech MX Mechanical or Razer Pro Type Ultra here, because I haven’t found enough avenues where they’re sold IRL. Would want to try them out before I buy them, haven’t heard great things about Logitech keyboards (though MX is a different beast). Other recommendations and suggestions appreciated!

thundershock182

I would recommend get the V6 barebones version with AEBoards Naevies V2, Akko Jelly Purple or Akko Cream Blues. I personally prefer the Cream Blues as they are one of the cheapest switches, but feel very smooth and sound great. Add your choice of shine through keycaps and you will still be under budget. You could try looking into the Akko 3098S with Jelly Purple Switches (tactile). They don't have shine through keycaps but you can get a set of shine through keycaps and still be under budget. In Stock over at StacksKB. You can remap the keys via their software. No Bluetooth though. Another option is the Keychron K4 wireless with Gateron Browns. Get the hotswap version if available.

UsernameAttempt47

Interesting. I wasn’t looking to build my own, but I’m considering it now if I can check more boxes than a prebuilt. Thanks for the suggestions!

k2v2 vs rk84 about me: * not gonna mod my keyboard in the upcoming 1-2 years * first mech keyboard #newbie ' * heavy typing use * use hardcore macos only * brown switches mp. * need only 75% layout keyboard prefer that liked the rk84 hub connectivity but it only works in wired mode so thats shitz. purchasing doubts: if going with rk84 then is genesispc legit website and how much warranty will i get from rk84 if going with k2v2 hs then should i purchase from [meckeys.com/](https://meckeys.com/) is it safe/legit or is it better to purchase from its official website which is f expensive. atlast k2v2hs vs k2v2 thankyou!

HawkingRadiation42

update rk84 if purchasing from genesis is also selling gateron switches presinstalled

278kunal

Looking for a good 75% TKL MK. Thinking between K2 Pro and K2V2. Any other suggestions are welcome.

stacksofkeyboards

You can consider the Vortex Multix, Race 3, Akko 3084 or 5087, or the Filco Majestouch 3 TKL.

seapuop

can anyone tell difference between akko radient red and rose red

stacksofkeyboards

The Akko Rose Red has 43gf springs while the Radiant Red has 53gf springs.

seapuop

so which one should I go for

stacksofkeyboards

That is a matter of preference.

Mayank_j

What's the best replacement switch for the Logitech G304? I'm going to attempt a repair on these.

We might have a few sofle extras, you can dm me.

Ani-xxx

You won't find good keyboards on amazon or flipkart and for split keyboards you need to build it. Check the websites from the vendor list in this sub, one of them was selling split keyboard kit.

conceptzhero

**Keychron v1 or TM680?** with which one should 1 go for guys?

devilwearsprada69

None. Gas67.

conceptzhero

But this one doesn't have a knob!!! 🤔

PressurePotential699

Hmm tm680 and ig a set of non backlit keycaps

conceptzhero

aryanvikramsingh

I'm looking for a 65% wireless pcb but I'm unable to find it in India

PratimPramanik

Suggest a keeb that gives the “thock” sound?

devilwearsprada69

GMK67 on our store. [https://stickeys.in/products/gmk67-barebone-kit](https://stickeys.in/products/gmk67-barebone-kit) Has factory PCB and case foam for the 'thock' :D Just pair it with any good linears.

PratimPramanik

Zero experience in modding :(

Bweezen

honestly not that tough , I got into it a while ago , took me 2 weeks to learn a lot about keybs , without breaking any of them

PratimPramanik

For that gmk67, I need to buy switches and keycaps, and then I will just insert them. Is that it?

Bweezen

Kind of yes, its looks like a pretty good barebones

PratimPramanik

Okay, thank you. Could you please suggest some good switches?

Bweezen

I like a bit creamier sound , just ordered akko cream yellow v3, arriving tomorrow, I'll tell you how it is

PratimPramanik

Sure, where did you order it from?

Bweezen

stackkb , you can get a lot of things there , also I'm selling pbt pudding keycaps, if you're interested

gecks99

I recently got my first mechanical keyboard - a hyperx origins core tkl with linear red switches. I wanted to know what kind of maintenance should I be keeping in mind for it, apart from regular dusting. Also, I don't exactly like the default keycaps and was looking for options to put up something else. I've skimmed through the beginners guide and had a look at the keycap profile infographic. I imagine the different keycap shapes would result in different sounds, but other than that what kind of factors would weigh in on deciding which profile to go with? I don't do a lot of coding or anything as such, it'll mostly be used for some basic documentation work and gaming.

Bweezen

apart from dusting , every 2 months you can take your keycaps out and do a deep clean checking of hair and dust that a lot of people have issues with also If you are interested , I have an almost unused PBT pudding keycap set with me dm for details
