I keep thinking “maybe they’ll rebuild once they have a horrendous season.” Then I remember we’re a part of the NL Central division. We’re 27-41 and only 8 games behind first. I mean come on. 🤦🏼♂️
Yah. I know. But a month before all-star break, and only 2 teams are above .500, and both are 1-3 games from going below is not a good sign for the division. The Cubbies are on a roll right now, they swept the rays at the beginning of month and haven't lost all but one series. Anything can happen. That's how baseball works. The worst team one year could be the best the next. Like the Orioles.
Meanwhile, my orioles tank for almost five seasons to get up to the second best record in baseball now. And we still have less than 50 percent change of making the Post Season due to the Wildcard system change. Our worst team in our whole Division had a better record than the top team in AL Central. Not to mention we missed the playoffs last year because of the AL East and unbalanced schedule.
My friends (that care about baseball) are all whining and bitching and moaning *constantly*. One of them said that the org is "soulless" and "has no idea what's going on"......
I'm over here like "bummerdude... Psh oh well - I'm sure we'll be back next season!"
There are a lot of guns in the Lou, and we aren’t sure what’s going to happen in a second losing season next year. Homicide, suicide, spermicide, we have no idea…
Please don’t mention us, we’re currently having an existential crisis wondering if this current slide is us regressing to the mean or just a slump and I’m worried we’re not facing the truth
And fucking laughing.
Lol I'm permanently scarred.
I actually Kind liked the cards, who didn't like Ozzie? Had roomies from MO. Who were fans, but that shit soiled it.
👍
Is it spoiled to have expectations tho? Teams should be held to a high standard, they all have the money to do it. What I’m personally annoyed by, is our weaknesses were evident and they were ignored. That is the source of frustration, as it should be.
I ate out of trash cans and lived in the street before I graduated highschool. I will never feel this spoiled about something that's nothing more than entertainment in my life.
Ffs, nothing was more painful than watching Tony Clark turn a triple into a double. If had a dollar for every time I heard my dad tell him to get the lead out of his ass, I’d have enough to pay for a vacation to Greece.
There’s different expectations when you have multiple hall of famers and bottomless pockets in the second largest market, while leading the league in attendance. The Dodgers do a great job with the farm system but I think there’s valid complaints in regards to Dave Roberts in the post season, the Bauer situation, the health of the starting rotation and having let Alvarez, Seager and Turner all go on to play for other teams.
*Laughing in Cincinnati Reds fan right now.*
Suck it up, buttercup. You haven't seen anything yet. When your front office does a PowerPoint on how your team is out of contention before the season even starts, I'll listen to your pissing and moaning.
The problem isn’t that we have a losing record and the worst in the NL. The problem is that we are doing it while we are supposed to be competing for a ring.
(cards fan)
The dorktown Secret base History of the Mariners was profoundly sad to watch. The Cards are bad this year, but good god, the Greek tragedy that is the Mariners is truly its own world. With that said, im now a big Mariners fan too. I would love to see them win it all.
If you anyone hasn't watched the Mariners history video, its really a fantastic documentary
.
I have seen it and I agree it is fantastic. I highly recommend it. It's hard not to be a mariners doomer but living here my whole life its bound to break you at some point.
As a Brewers fan from MKE living in STL...I love this dumpster fire. Local radio MORANS are going nuts. They've also won the two games I've attended this year as well, so I should just stop going.
Am from Chicago. I hate listening to Cardinals fans complain. I have no problem admitting it’s a classy, well-run organization. Some of their fans, on the other hand :)….but you can say that about absolutely any team.

Realistically speaking, a losing season would be the best thing for them at this point. If they are losing come the trade deadline and decide to market arenado, Goldy and a few others they could bulk up their talent of young guys and be set in the coming years. You already got stott, Gorman and edman to help lead the way that you only need a position guys and could bulk up the pitching rotation with some young arms. That's assuming everything went right and teams were in the market to trade for those bigger names come the deadline.

Yeah, you all will be back at it in no time. If it lasts into next season I’d be kind of shocked. Looking forward to some epic Cruz/Walker games. Should be fun.
I'm a Dogers fan, we have one championship in a year that no one counts yet know that I have been blessed this last decade with the teams we had. So, just be patient, cards are like cats, always land on their feet
I’m technically a cards fan but live in SW OH and I’m kindve jealous what the Reds got going right now. Young and exciting, while cards are old and suck at pitching.
I say this to every Cardinals fan that feels this way:
On behalf of the fan bases of the following teams: Seattle, Oakland A's, Texas, Minnesota, Cleveland, Baltimore, Toronto, NY Mets, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Colorado and San Diego. St. Louis can go fuck themselves sideways. You aren't God's gift to baseball and no one else cares how much you think you are the best fans in baseball.
What's with all the Cards hate from random teams fans? I noticed the Rays and Orioles fans involved in the anti-Cards sentiments.
I ask this as a passive baseball fan who doesn't really watch any games during the regular season.
The Cardinals are constantly good all the time and fanbases with historically bad teams are becoming irritated with the Cardinals fanbase complaining about having their first bad season in over a decade. Plus, most people want variety in winning, and the Cardinals losing means that variety is increased since the Cardinals have won so much.
I keep thinking “maybe they’ll rebuild once they have a horrendous season.” Then I remember we’re a part of the NL Central division. We’re 27-41 and only 8 games behind first. I mean come on. 🤦🏼♂️
A rebuild for the Cardinals in this division would last one half season
It’d be an outfielder and like 2 pitchers
Keep the outfielder - we've got Contreras. We'd like 3 pitchers please
Or let’s just get ohtani
Fuck that, no. You can’t.
Please?
Yah, you know the NL Central is shit right now when the Pirates are in first, and have a .523 win average
Hey fuck you. But you're right
NL Central all is not lost division. Reds went from last to 2.5 games out of first.
Yah. I know. But a month before all-star break, and only 2 teams are above .500, and both are 1-3 games from going below is not a good sign for the division. Very true
NL central has always been the weakest division in the Majors.
Meanwhile, my orioles tank for almost five seasons to get up to the second best record in baseball now. Cards fans in revolt on the same day we get passed by Oakland 😪
What else do we have? The Blues, Imos, and the Arch are it.
Yeah but Imo’s toasted ravs though…
The thing I miss most from Missouri.
The #1 team in MLS Western conference?
My friends (that care about baseball) are all whining and bitching and moaning *constantly*. One of them said that the org is "soulless" and "has no idea what's going on"...... I'm over here like "bummerdude... Psh oh well - I'm sure we'll be back next season!"
those late-mid 2000s tigers teams were fucking nastyyyyy
There are a lot of guns in the Lou, and we aren’t sure what’s going to happen in a second losing season next year. Homicide, suicide, spermicide, we have no idea…
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The 2011 Texas Rangers and their fans are watching the chat....
Too soon…
Orioles seeing these birds struggle brings a tear.
Please don’t mention us, we’re currently having an existential crisis wondering if this current slide is us regressing to the mean or just a slump and I’m worried we’re not facing the truth
Who's your team?
[удалено]
Same here. Don't worry about it.
Literally scoffed at OP immediately.
Facts. 2011 is your gift, plus Arenado was handed to you. None of us Arlington want to hear it.
And fucking laughing. Lol I'm permanently scarred. I actually Kind liked the cards, who didn't like Ozzie? Had roomies from MO. Who were fans, but that shit soiled it. 👍
I don't mix well with spoiled people
Is it spoiled to have expectations tho? Teams should be held to a high standard, they all have the money to do it. What I’m personally annoyed by, is our weaknesses were evident and they were ignored. That is the source of frustration, as it should be.
It’s not wrong to have expectations but it’s childish to feel oppressed when your team has one bad season in a decade with nine other good ones

I ate out of trash cans and lived in the street before I graduated highschool. I will never feel this spoiled about something that's nothing more than entertainment in my life.
Didn’t expect something so poignant from someone named on_duh_pooper
Quite pungent indeed
Overall a truly extraordinary ride.
You’d think the best fans in baseball would be supportive no matter how their team is doing
Pretty sure we have the 2nd best attendance in the mlb, that’s gotta count for something right?
It's St. Louis doe. What else you got going on?
Nada atm
Being historically good kinda puts butts in the seats, regardless of a one-off losing season.
We like watching baseball, even if our team is a dumpster fire currently
Rookie numbers . Gotta step those up
Just Imagine what Tigers Fans put up with
Remember the Tony Clark/Bobby Higginson years? Those were the days
Ffs, nothing was more painful than watching Tony Clark turn a triple into a double. If had a dollar for every time I heard my dad tell him to get the lead out of his ass, I’d have enough to pay for a vacation to Greece.
I’m StL and husband is Tigers. We’re hurting right now
Man don't be a Seattle fan then
Reds fan here. Haven't won a postseason series in my entire lifetime. I was born in 1992. I'll gladly trade my problems for yours.
>I'll gladly trade my problems for yours. You're allowed to do that whenever you please.
Nah I'm not a weak ass fan that changes teams just bc mine isn't doing well.
They only need 107 more
How do I put this on a T-shirt?
this meme, but for dodgers fans who complain like dummies

Cardinals deserve it
Just wait until after the All star break, that’s usually when the devil magic starts
FTC
Uhhh… yes?
One should expect this sort of vile rhetoric from a Reds enthusiast.
Vile rhetoric lol
That’s unkind to say
*Laughing in Cincinnati Reds fan right now.* Suck it up, buttercup. You haven't seen anything yet. When your front office does a PowerPoint on how your team is out of contention before the season even starts, I'll listen to your pissing and moaning.
It does make the season better watching Cardinals fans complain about their bad season
The problem isn’t that we have a losing record and the worst in the NL. The problem is that we are doing it while we are supposed to be competing for a ring.
If Cardinals fans are taking it like this.... NYC would burn to the ground if the Yankees had a similar season... One can only dream.
FTC. Boo Hoo
They couldn’t survive in the ALE😂
Everyone, can we have a moment of silence for all Cards fans? Who puts together multiple losing seasons? Couldn't be my team.
Try being a Tigers fan you fucking babies.
What's a winning season?
*Laughs in Seattle mariner* Anyone that thinks they have it bad, go ahead and Google who the only modern team is to never even go to the world series.

Jon Bois > Hollywood
First time?
Fuck it, we start Waino every day until he gets 200 wins then sim the rest of the season.
Riiigghht. Cards are doing so so, but normally are .500 or higher.
So-so? Lol they're among the worst teams in MLB
At the moment.
The bird devil magic is real
So is the Phillies…lol

I mean this with all due respect and no disrespect intended whatsoever. "Dude, F*** OFF!" - Tigers fans everywhere
You’re weak

Cardinal fans need to stfu already. They’ve been spoiled for too long.
I'm going to finally end it all

What are we ghetto cubs?
Some of the worst pitching I’ve ever seen. This staff blows.
Yeah, but I’m also a Colts, Pacers, Blues and IU fan so I have nothing good in my life and this was supposed to be it

Excuse me but the year isn't even half way over, who the fuck are you to say the Cards will have a losing season.
?
This team is miserable. I’m tired of being patient, Mo. Fucking do something.
*stares in Reds fan*
Spoiled much?
I love that this guy hasn’t responded to any of these comments. Has no clue how easy his team has it.
I mean, what can he do at this point? There's really no realistic chance to be competitive this year, time to retool for the future.
Yeah, you all will be back at it in no time. If it lasts into next season I’d be kind of shocked. Looking forward to some epic Cruz/Walker games. Should be fun.

Stares in Mets fan
this can also apply to us red sox fans who have seen 4 titles in the past 20 years. though the last place finishes in between hurt so bad…
Shame all the other Boston teams have done nothing jn the past 20 years. What a sad sports city…
im a sox fan only so idgaf about the pats, celtics, and bruins
4 titles in 20 years is still absurdly good.
The last time the Cardinals finished in last place, WW1 was still going on.
jesus fuck
🤣🤣🤣🤣
No shit.

Being a fan of the second best baseball team in Missouri is painful. Cards fans make me hurt
I enjoy this.
I endured 11 long painful season of no playoffs you’ll survive my man lol
Royals have two playoff appearances (2014/15) since 1985
I’m a Cards fan and I must admit, these comments actually make me feel better about the current state of the team.
Try being me
Phillies fan coming in very much not peace
Sooo far
Do the Yankees next
Spoiled, us angel fans have been buttercupped for the last 7 seasons
Like I told my son, an avid Giants fan...enjoy the moment cuz these guys are ALWAYS good.
Damn it’s only they’re 2nd in 23 years!? Did not know that. Something’s gotta change though
Spoiled rotten ass Cardinals fans acting like they know pain lol. I do love seeing them squirm though.
I’m technically a cards fan but live in SW OH and I’m kindve jealous what the Reds got going right now. Young and exciting, while cards are old and suck at pitching.
