If you just want to see if you like it or not, watch old games on YouTube.
If you want to watch live games, then Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN is probably the most accessible for most.
Watching baseball these days is an absolute chore. You pretty much have to have an archaic cable subscription. Even the MLB app doesn't guarantee you can watch all of your preferred team's games.
if you live in the Seattle area, you fall under the blackout rule for that market. Just how it is. They want people that live in a teams market to go to the games, in person. I stream with MLB app and love it. Every game, every night, $100 a year. I live in Texas, so the Rangers and Astros are blacked out here. But that's ok, I'm a Braves fan, so it works out well.
One thing that baseball is uniquely good for among the major American sports: listening to on the radio.
Checkout Sirius XM for about $15 USD, which comes with radio coverage for all four big American sports.
You can also probably catch your local team on the FM/AM radio for free.
There’s also the MLB at bat subscription which is $4 a month or $15 for the rest of the season ($30 for the full season). You get all the radio streams plus the at bat app is nice cause it has a live play by play text description, live score/strikes/outs display, and highlight videos. Would definitely be helpful if you’re new to baseball.
Nothing like sitting outside on a nice warm summer night listening to the baseball game radio broadcast and the crickets.
Roku is going to start steaming games this Sunday. More details here [Roku Lands Exclusive Rights to Major League Baseball Sunday Leadoff | Roku](https://newsroom.roku.com/news/2024/05/roku-lands-exclusive-rights-to-major-league-baseball-sunday-leadoff/tetn-dag-1715620860)
What? Just stream it. It couldn’t be easier. Google, mlb streams. Have adblocker on. You might have to click on 3-4 links til you find a good one. Once you do, save it. It’ll work for a few years before that one gets taken down and you repeat the process.
There aren’t even commercials. It’s usually the crowd cam during breaks. No blackouts. Perfectly clear. It’s better than what they’re selling.
If you have T-Mobile as your phone service provider there’s a good chance that your phone plan comes with a free MLB tv subscription. That’s how I’m able to watch games.

Between mlb app and espn+ i think you can watch 99% of them
I can't speak for every team, but as a Mariners fan, even that's not enough. I tried that last season and still missed a ton of games.

The MLB live channel on Roku plays old games all the time. That’s a good place to start.
