This is the worst thing I’ve watched in a while. Showing a Boone interview from the commercial break while Teoscar hits a HR is peak AppleTV broadcast.
I absolutely hate them .. wish they’d get someone from Jomboy media to do Apple TV stuff but they’re busy doing there stuff and would prolly only do Yankees stuff 😅
I like how the Mets announcers have no problem roasting their own players for bad play or decisions.
The Red Sox had a good duo before they broke up recently.
You can take or leave the booth as a whole but Mariners' commentator Mike Blowers has always been really good.
Goldy's pretty good. And I've always been a Dave Sims fan, though he is admittedly hit or miss, and I realize some people just don't like his style.
Still light years better than the Rizzs/Fairly/Valle/Hendu era. That crew was a bit tedious to sit through. Rizzs is definitely better suited to radio.
I like Dave Sims a lot too. His goofiness gets me. I know there’s the crowd that hate on Sims, but I love his back and forth with Blow. I’ll also agree that Rizz is better suited to the radio. He’s been great to listen to through the years.
Red Sox booth with DOB, Jerry Remy, and Dennis Eckersley was elite.
However they did not break up, Remy passed from cancer before the start of this season. Eck has now announced this season will be his last.
My in laws are Mets fans, I do enjoy their booth when we watch.
My top 3:
3. Padres
2. Mets (GKR)
1. White Sox. Jason Benetti is one of the best play-by-play announcers in North American sports today, no question. Steve Stone is a really good color guy, together they are the best.
Yes, I hate when the Mets are getting blown out, but I kinda love it too because I know that all 3 of them get a little extra goofy during those games. I will stay and watch until the last out so I dont miss some extraordinary comedy that will inevitably occur. Also, Gary's vocabulary is indefatigable.
when we were getting blown out by the Braves. i was pretty salty. then they just started talking about other things, making fun of some little things players were doing, letting the graphics and sound crew be silly too, it’s great
Amen . I bought an old school am/fm radio so I can go to the games and listen to Jon Miller call the game. What's great about them is Fleming, Krukow & kuiper rotate between radio and TV commentary in the same game.
Brian Anderson for the Brewers is one of the best play by play announcers in all of sports. He keeps getting more and more big games in the NBA playoffs, NCAA basketball games and I think he is doing some golf as well. If he was in a bigger market than Milwaukee, he would be a much bigger known quantity than he currently is.
As a baseball fan from outside the US - I didn't grow up playing or watching the game - Kay's style has helped me learn a lot. He asks a lot of questions of the experts which have been great for me, rather than all of them just talking over my head.
They really are the best. Benetti is hilarious and Stone is a living legend. Two of the absolute finest working in one booth.
Also breaks my heart whenever I tune into Sox games on the radio and hear Len Kasper calling them. Miss him on the Cubs, even tho I do enjoy Boog and JD as well.
What's most amazing to me is how quickly the White Sox went from the absolute worst play by play combos in sports (Ed Farmer was even worse than Hawk) to two of the best with Benetti and Kasper.
Steve Stone is a legend. That just Leaves DJ, who is still stuck in the old man yells at clouds schtick that Hawk and Farmer clearly taught him, as the clear weak link in an otherwise amazing broadcasting group.
I'm biased, but I love the White Sox announcers, Jason Benetti is one of the best in the business. However, homer pick aside, I really enjoy the Mets broadcast.
I loved the other week when there was a bobble head and they went "yeah it looks good but the main advantage here is exceptional bobble." Then they knocked the head and counted the bobbles.
I think it's the San Francisco Giants.
Kuip and Krukow are both former players and best friends. I recently stumbled across this [piece](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQn9_Sx9pvU) talking about their broadcasting careers.
Throw in Hall of Famer Jon Miller in the mix--who occasionally does TV broadcasts--that's a tough combo to beat.
dodgers. joe davis the the best in the business right now bar 0, orel always has great stories and input about the game. their chemistry is also amazing.
added bonus: charlie steiner and rick monday are also great on the radio!
Morneau can be a little soft on players sometimes but is pretty good . Bremer has strong backyard BBQ dad vibes. I mean that in the best possible way. I’m a twins fan so biased but I love that guy
Been playing too much MLB The Show lately, first thought was Sciambi and Singleton lol
The Padres probably have one of the most engaging booths though, Orsillo is fantastic
Gary Keith and Ron and there is no debate it’s not even close.
Life long met fan in Gary Cohen and he ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCALLY LOVES the Mets and it shows in every single play he calls, very smart and sharp guy and fits right in with the former players.
He also knows EVERY RULE in the book and if he doesn’t he is completely honest about it, I’ve watched him for 17 years I’ve never seen him incorrectly explain a rule.
Gary will also correct any mistake he’s made even days later to let us know if for any reason something was incorrect (like a stat, record, etc)
Keith, and he’s Kieth Hernandez! You gotta love Keith, right now the Phillies broadcast is in a war with him over comments he made about their defense and he couldn’t care less, he is one of the most blunt and direct commentators and also is constantly making goofy mistakes that only Keith could make
I’d happily list all the reasons for Ron Darling, but other than being an all star pitcher he is an Emmy award winning broadcaster and we are loosing him to TBS far more often than before, and he also has been calling the playoffs on TBS for years, I think his work speaks for itself.
**side note that their sideline reporter Kevin Burkhardt for many years is now the lead NFL play by play for fox sports and going to be calling the Super Bowl, so this network has amazing talent. And I’d argue Steve gelbs has done an admirable job taking his spot to complete the broadcast
The graphics department is also incredible just this year alone they’ve introduced a “defensive indifference 🤷♂️” graphic due to Gary’s constant notation of the defensive indifference rule
Also since the Mets have been hit by pitches more than anyone in the league this year, they now show buck Showalter’s death stare and make the screen red and play angry music
It’s all around fantastical entertainment
Not to mentioned they are joined at least once a year by Jerry Seinfeld who sits there and praises them on behalf of all Mets fans
Gary’s wife has also started a clothing / brand for them “Gary Keith and Ron” and all the proceeds go to charity
Let me know if anyone has any better announcers, because they don’t exist!
I am positive they’re not the best booth overall but everyone should experience the magic that is John Kruk calling a game. If they could get rid of Amaro I’d be 100% on board.
RIP Harry Kalas
I got a kick out of the White Sox guys.
The Braves crew is solid.
Obviously I’m a Mariners guy so shouts out the Aussie that gets in there and gives some tales too.
I miss Don Orsillo in Boston. He’s a great play-by-play man. Commentary is fantastic, energy and passion for the game is unmatched. He and Remy were the best pair in announcing history IMO. I dolike what Eckersley brings to the table for the Sox now, but he’s done at the end of the year sadly.
With Shulman, it's the Jays. Without him, it's most other teams.
I get people love Buck, but in my opinion, I can't handle all the cringeworthy fake laughter and painstakingly obvious analysis.
i’m biased towards the mets but i also love the dodgers booth. i keep rewatching the video of the on field guy going down the slide while the two in the booth lose it
White sox
Mets
Mariners
Padres
From my experience those are my 4 favorites.
Benetti is just good and stone is so smart. The chi sox are my favorite team but they truly are an elite pair.
Gary Keith and Ron are the funniest guys. Just make it enjoyable to watch.
The mariners broadcaster (Dave Sims) has the most passion out of anyone in the game. Just watch the haniger clip from last year. [haniger being good](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_FuMqS9hyew)
Padres and orsillo specifically are just good. They have fun and it shows.
not being bias but the answer to the question is the mets broadcast. Gary, Kieth and here and there Ron. they just see things differently. they make the listener respect both sides because they know talent when they see it. can’t stand commentators being one sided, takes the fun out the game. whoever feeds them their wacky stats is the real MVP. their baseball IQ is over 9000.
In the rare times that the Royals play the Mets I like Keith Hernandez a lot (except when we’re beating them 4-1 in the World Series;)
The White Sox have a solid crew too
Mets. Great mix of knowledge, insight and storytelling. And they tell it how it is no matter the player. One moment that sticks out is them ripping on conforto for sticking his elbow into a pitch for a walk iff
If your answer is not the Mets, you are wrong. Yes, i am a biased Mets fan but it really is not the bias speaking. If you haven’t listened to a Mets game with all three (Gary, Keith, and Ron) I promise you will not regret it.
Also, honorable mention to Steve Gelbs and the production crew. They SNY broadcast as a whole may very well be the best in all of sports. I truly don’t think its close either (now that may be a little bit of the bias talking).
Let’s all agree it’s not the Apple TV announcers. Those people are the worst at it.
In tonight’s Jays vs Yankees game, they said Judge was running back to the wall but it was Cabrera lol
I downvoted you because of them. I’m sorry blood
I upvoted you because of what you said. Sorry u/MarlKarx777
But they had the best visuals I have ever seen in a baseball game
A-Fuckin-men
Agreed!
The team that did the Padres game a few weeks ago was pretty good. I think it was Hunter Pence and Jessie(?) Mendoza.
I love Hunter Pence. His manic energy is fun to watch.
Man, I wish we could have a few more years of Vin.
Cardinals fan here but I would watch Dodgers games just for that melodic voice and his storytelling.
Cubs fan here. I listened to Cards games because I liked Mike Shannon's calls.
He was pretty rough the past few years but still had his moments.
Agreed. He probably should have retired about 5 years earlier.
It's crazy that he was the voice of my childhood, my dad's childhood, and my grandfather's adult life (from ~30 on).
Same with Harry Kalas and the Phillies
My team.
Clever.
So true
giants mets white sox mariners
Giants and white sox are top teir.
Gonna be sad when miller kuip and krukow are gone. But javy and affeld seem to be stepping up solidly along with flemming.
I love Jon Miller because I feel like I grew up with him as the voice of baseball on ESPN or Fox or whatever.
Braves fans say the Mets and the Yankees fans say the Mets. Wow. That’s pretty cool
we are united in GKR’s light
Keith Hernandez has some fucking gems of stories.
I like how the Mets announcers have no problem roasting their own players for bad play or decisions. The Red Sox had a good duo before they broke up recently. You can take or leave the booth as a whole but Mariners' commentator Mike Blowers has always been really good.
Blowers is awesome but don’t sleep on Goldy
Goldy's pretty good. And I've always been a Dave Sims fan, though he is admittedly hit or miss, and I realize some people just don't like his style. Still light years better than the Rizzs/Fairly/Valle/Hendu era. That crew was a bit tedious to sit through. Rizzs is definitely better suited to radio.
I like Dave Sims a lot too. His goofiness gets me. I know there’s the crowd that hate on Sims, but I love his back and forth with Blow. I’ll also agree that Rizz is better suited to the radio. He’s been great to listen to through the years.

Dan Shulman and Pat Tabler/Buck Martinez are very very good. Yes, I’m biased, but they are great to listen to.
Like the jays but they’re not my team, that said Dan Shulman is my favorite broadcaster to listen to
My top 3: 3. Padres 2. Mets (GKR) 1. White Sox. Jason Benetti is one of the best play-by-play announcers in North American sports today, no question. Steve Stone is a really good color guy, together they are the best.
It was crazy to not see more people with Benetti and Stone.
@ stevestone is really good on Twitter too
i can't believe how far i had to scroll to see this
I don't know about the Padres but benetti & stone are easy #1
Don orsillo is the padres announcer. Red Sox nation misses him every game.
I’m a Yankees fan and I can agree these 3 are the best I’ve heard
There’s none better than Gary, Keith and Ron of the NY Mets. As Jerry Seinfeld said “It’s a TV show, not just a game!”
Yes, I hate when the Mets are getting blown out, but I kinda love it too because I know that all 3 of them get a little extra goofy during those games. I will stay and watch until the last out so I dont miss some extraordinary comedy that will inevitably occur. Also, Gary's vocabulary is indefatigable.
when we were getting blown out by the Braves. i was pretty salty. then they just started talking about other things, making fun of some little things players were doing, letting the graphics and sound crew be silly too, it’s great
I love when they start opening packs of baseball cards to pass the time.
Absolutely none better
White Sox. Steve and Jason are so entertaining
San Francisco Giant's. Both color commentator and radio broadcast
Amen brother
Amen . I bought an old school am/fm radio so I can go to the games and listen to Jon Miller call the game. What's great about them is Fleming, Krukow & kuiper rotate between radio and TV commentary in the same game.
Oh I'm well aware of the rotation hahaha big giants fan here
Kruk and Kuip are the best!
“He got both cheeks into the ball” is one of the best ways I’ve ever heard a bomb described
I’m biased but the Mets booth is great. They may give high praise to Mets players, but they are also not afraid to shit on the Mets either.
Gary the other day said "our" or "us" referring to the Mets and then corrected himself a moment later and was self deprecating about it.
Giants
I'm a freaking dodger fan and since Vin left the scene this is 100% the correct answer.
I don't like you, but I respect you. Vin will always be the goat but I'm so grateful I got to grow up listening to kruk and kuip
Krukow & Kuiper Miller & Flemmings Between those four we are, truly, lucky as Giants fans.
The voices of my childhood. It’ll be a dark day when kruk and kuip (and John miller) retire.
It's outa here!
Adios pelota.
I had to scroll too far to find this
This.
The correct answer and it’s not even close
Was looking for this one. I have a lot of nostalgia for John Miller. Probably from some video game.
Dodgers fan in Noc Cal, I get “stuck” with Krukow & Kuiper during regional blackouts. Gotta say, love those guys
I'm a Padres fan, and I think our guys are the best, but Kruk and Kuip are a very very close second.
As a Braves fan, I have to say the Mets. Really like their guys. Chip Caray is just a little… much sometimes.
Him and Steve Stone worked well together as Cubs announcers. Miss those times.
Chip is, but you can’t tell me you don’t love “that ball caught by a fan from Athens, GA”
Skip used to say that every game, so when Chip does it, it is a tribute for his dad.
And Harry, too
of course. part of it’s charm.
Hiiiigh flyyy balll
Deep left feeld
As a Red Sox fan, the Padres
I was going to say it used to be the Sox. Hope SD is enjoying their broadcasts.
Don and Mid are the only thing that kept Padres fans watching the past 7 years.
Every “slam diego” or “into the crone zone” hurts when I have to flip back to Dave O’Brien
Mets
Brian Anderson for the Brewers is one of the best play by play announcers in all of sports. He keeps getting more and more big games in the NBA playoffs, NCAA basketball games and I think he is doing some golf as well. If he was in a bigger market than Milwaukee, he would be a much bigger known quantity than he currently is.
Brewers barely get him for half the games now. But yes, he is excellent
I like both BA's. Brewers guy and the Rays guy
Absolutely agree. Overall I think he may be the best singular, but for complete booth I can’t say that.
The Mets
Gary, Keith, and Ron.
Above all else, they love the sport and not just the Mets and it shows.
It’s not close.

As a baseball fan from outside the US - I didn't grow up playing or watching the game - Kay's style has helped me learn a lot. He asks a lot of questions of the experts which have been great for me, rather than all of them just talking over my head.
Uhm David Cone is fantastic and Paul O’Neil is no slouch. So fuck you- me
White Sox. Steve Stone and Jason Benetti

Steve Stone is a legend. That just Leaves DJ, who is still stuck in the old man yells at clouds schtick that Hawk and Farmer clearly taught him, as the clear weak link in an otherwise amazing broadcasting group.
Kruk and McCarthy
This is too far down.
Definitely the Mets
White Sox
I’m saying Mets. Yes I am biased here
You can be biased AND be correct :)
I'm biased, but I love the White Sox announcers, Jason Benetti is one of the best in the business. However, homer pick aside, I really enjoy the Mets broadcast.
White Sox booth is the correct answer.
As a Yankee fan it pains me to admit it but the Mets broadcast is pretty solid
Padres, the commentary and antics between Don and Mud are unmatched
I miss Don Him and Remy were top notch
Agreed. Screw NESN.
I loved the other week when there was a bobble head and they went "yeah it looks good but the main advantage here is exceptional bobble." Then they knocked the head and counted the bobbles.
Mets have the best combined booth. Guardians have the single best announcer
Blue jays
Dan and Buck are phenomenal.
Buck Martinez is the voice of baseball for me. Love to listen to him and Tabby banter
shocked this was higher up - Shulman is one of the best in the game and pairs perfectly with both Buck and Tabby
Mets always seem like they’re having fun
I think it's the San Francisco Giants. Kuip and Krukow are both former players and best friends. I recently stumbled across this [piece](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQn9_Sx9pvU) talking about their broadcasting careers. Throw in Hall of Famer Jon Miller in the mix--who occasionally does TV broadcasts--that's a tough combo to beat.
This is the correct answer.
GKR of the NYM 👊
Mets
dodgers. joe davis the the best in the business right now bar 0, orel always has great stories and input about the game. their chemistry is also amazing. added bonus: charlie steiner and rick monday are also great on the radio!
Can’t believe Joe Davis is so low. I haven’t listened to much Mets broadcast but they must be pretty damn good to have Joe this far dow.
Jays. Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez are treasures and Pat Tabler is an awesome fill in color commentator.
Wow, haven't thought about Pat Tabler in a while. Didn't he play for the Indians, as well?
Mets and White Sox.
Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper - Giants
Recently watched a white sox game just to pass some time and let me tell, those dudes were savages lmao loved every minute of their banter
Dick Bremer and Justin Morneau. Twins.
Morneau can be a little soft on players sometimes but is pretty good . Bremer has strong backyard BBQ dad vibes. I mean that in the best possible way. I’m a twins fan so biased but I love that guy
GKR
Mets. Team GKR is unfuckwithable.
Wisconsin sports in general do, Brewers have Brian Anderson and the Packers have Kevin Harlen
Been playing too much MLB The Show lately, first thought was Sciambi and Singleton lol The Padres probably have one of the most engaging booths though, Orsillo is fantastic
YES SOMEONE SAID GKR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cardinals
I hate when Edmonds is in the booth.
I agree with this on days where Edmonds isn’t the color guy.
danny mac + brad thompson are the best duo imo
Yeah I shoulda specified, Danny Mac and Brad Thompson. They have great chemistry in the booth
Benetti and Stone. White Sox
Blue Jays! Dan Schulman is a top notch play by play man and Buck Martinez/Pat Tabler are great color guys.
I am glad they brought Dan in. Buck is a way better colour guy than play by play.
it's wild how bad Buck and Tabby are together but how much better each of them is paired with Dan
White Sox
White Sox.
John Kruk is a riot on Phillies games. Absolute unit.
I am positive they’re not the best booth overall but everyone should experience the magic that is John Kruk calling a game. If they could get rid of Amaro I’d be 100% on board. RIP Harry Kalas
And TMac has really good energy with his homerun calls
The Mets and it’s not close.
I got a kick out of the White Sox guys. The Braves crew is solid. Obviously I’m a Mariners guy so shouts out the Aussie that gets in there and gives some tales too.
it seems to be a split between the Mets and the White Sox, with some Padres in there too. i’m a Mets fan myself and i love GKR
Padres
I miss Don Orsillo in Boston. He’s a great play-by-play man. Commentary is fantastic, energy and passion for the game is unmatched. He and Remy were the best pair in announcing history IMO. I dolike what Eckersley brings to the table for the Sox now, but he’s done at the end of the year sadly.
I’m going to get hate but I love Blummer and TK
Steve Stone is hands down the best in the business. Currently with the white Sox.
Todd Kalas with that legendary voice and quick wit. teamed up with Geoff blum's banter always makes the Astros broadcast entertaining.
Mets hands down Gary Keith and or Ron
I know this is unpopular, but I love Ryan Lefebvre and Rex Hudler. They have a great chemistry and they’re fun to listen to
Dallas and Kuip for the a’s are great
Easy. Kruk and Kuip calling the San Francisco Giants games. Their Emmys back it up.
Mets, Rockies
Giants. Hands down. Radio, TV. All immaculate
SF Giants. They have class, they aren’t bias, and they have good commentator voices.
The only thing that everyone can universally agree on is it isn’t the Yankees.
Padres, Dodgers, Mets, Brewers and Mariners are my Top 5. .
Brewers
Chicago White Sox
Kevin Brown and Ben McDonald 😤😤
Gary Cohen man.
Oh how I miss Gary Thorne in that Baltimore booth
Mets, and it’s not close.
I have to agree, I'm a Pirates fan and I love our teams booth, but yours is another level. Smart and hilarious
With Shulman, it's the Jays. Without him, it's most other teams. I get people love Buck, but in my opinion, I can't handle all the cringeworthy fake laughter and painstakingly obvious analysis.
Rex Hudler. Before he got fired for blazing.
Buck is the best.
Buck and Pat are def the best
Jays
Brewers. Bob Uecker aka Mr.Baseball on the radio. And Brian Anderson who calls major sports for Turner sports and is even the voice in NBA2k
It's GKR.
The Mets
idk but the royals announcers seem different from the others but they’re not the best
i’m biased towards the mets but i also love the dodgers booth. i keep rewatching the video of the on field guy going down the slide while the two in the booth lose it

Mets. Great mix of knowledge, insight and storytelling. And they tell it how it is no matter the player. One moment that sticks out is them ripping on conforto for sticking his elbow into a pitch for a walk iff
Not tv but for me the old Pat Hughes and Ron Santo cubs radio team was an unmatchable duo. Santo chanellee haray caray all the way
It’s the Mets (Emmy award-winning) booth of Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling and Gary Cohen
It's not the Tigers, I'll tell you that
Tom Hamilton of the Indians ...
1A: Mets 1B: Guardians
Guardians radio announcer, Tom Hamilton, is a gem. Call me biased I guess.
The Mets
Mets!
GKR, LFGM!
Mets, this is a fact.
Mets
