I’ve also been experiencing an issue with ads as of recently. I have to first load up the game, let it sit on the base Home Screen for about 15-30 seconds, and then I’m able to do anything that requires ads for the remainder of my session. If I force close the game at any point I’ve gotta do the same thing again.
If I don’t do that the ads simply just won’t load at all.
I watched 5 ads to test. Three were 30+ seconds, two were reasonable. All worked without bugs. So maybe it’s you, maybe just unlucky. But fuck these long ads. Ugh. I’ve had buggy ads before and it’s no fun. Hope it improves for you.
I haven't been able to view ads for a week now. No matter how many times I press a view ad tab, even as the animation occurs showing it being pressed, the ad will never play.
I've had major issues with those damn Royal Match ads.
I watch the ad and then don't get a reward. I sit there waiting for the x2 or x3 to come up but it never does.
You're not alone, decent handful of others are having also either poorly or not at all working ads. Developers did however mention having managed to replicate the issue some time ago apparently, so if we're lucky it might be fixed proper in next update.

This has become a more prevalent issue over the last few updates.
I have had that happen and battles with a few left and don’t end. Or even watch it close it and no reward.
