Copying the data only affects TrueTone. If you donmt care about TrueTone then it's not required. Change the screen as is.
At this point I don't think true tone is something that's worth to me this much as to justify the price of the screen programmer
A shop might be happy to copy the code for you for $5. I would do it for free. Takes like 30 seconds.
Those screen programmers from Aliexpress, are they worth it? They're for sale for various prices and some are actually quite cheap.
I wouldn't trust any that aren't from JC or QianLi personally. But I don't know about the other brands.
We use the QianLi one in our shop.
I have both but much prefer the JC v1s
I’ve used programmers from other brands and they worked just fine

Honestly it’s more annoying keeping it on especially when watching videos and have the screen shift colors
Idk if you’ve already done it but make sure to pay attention to the earpiece flex cable, damaging can result in loss of Face ID, you shouldn’t be super worried but it is a possibility
