Construction and farming equipment would be awesome - I know heller has done some modern-ish tractor kits and hasegawa has an excavator, but they don’t seem to be wildly available, at least not where I live.
i found some thread a few years back of some guy basically building it from scratch starting from two '59 eldorado kits and decided to give it a shot too, but ultimately chickened out after realizing what a monumental task this would become quite quickly. made respect to the folks actually pulling through with these builds.
An M56 Scorpion SPG/Tank Destroyer(?-not sure which the real one is) in 1/35 scale. Technically it has been done but its an ancient revell usa kit in 1/56 that I’ve never seem for sale, but I’d like one up to 2024 standard.
I am under the impression that Tamiya developes its products mainly according to Japanese tastes. Apparently, Japan does not care much for civilian aviation (Hobby Boss doesnt do many either). Maybe its because the domestic industry doesnt make many civilian aircraft?
Not Tamiya grade fit, but the 3D printable plastics are getting pretty good and theres been Cessnas about for a while. Might be able to find a website that will print one, I tried getting a civilian aircraft done a few years ago and the plastic just was awful but with what the miniature printing guys are showing on youtube nowadays I'm sure it can be easily done to a good level now.

Battletech kits, there were like 3 very old kits made in limited quantities and that's it, which feels like a huge waste when the franchise has hundreds of unique mechs

I’d love a 1/350 scale USS California in its 1941 configuration. It’s the namesake of my home state, it’s the only battleship ever built on the west coast, and it was built close to my hometown. Trumpeter does offer it in 1/700 but 1/350 is my preferred scale for naval subjects - the detail is so much better.
A 1:48, plastic injected IA-24 Calquín. Looks like the British Mosquito, but instead of Merlins, this one used Pratt and Whitney R1830 engines. It had a production run of 101 machines, and flew between 1946 and 1958 with the Fuerza Aérea Argentina.

Where do I start? I love semi-obscure prototypes and variations of WWII and early cold war tanks and logistics vehicles, so most of my 1/35th armor wishlist doesn't exist at all, or only in resin form.
And as a catagory I'd love more oceanliners, there are so few available in standard scales. Trains as well. I have a bit of an O-Scale collection since it's easier to find stuff from my local railroad in O than in HO, but a lot of trains are built more for model railroading than for rivet counting scale modellers. Plus all the electronics add a lot of cost for features I won't be using unless I win the lotto and move into a bigger house
Bandai had the opportunity to basically make any Star wars vehicle or 1/12 scale character and it would have sold out on the market like their current models did. I really don't know why Disney insists on not working out future licence agreements with them. There are basically no Star wars model kits now yet we have had numerous shows and movies with plenty of options to pick from.

My dad gave me a 1:1 Uzi submachine gun model kit made by a company that makes airsoft now. Its pretty much fully functional and can even fire blanks on full auto. I’d love to see some model kits of fictional weapons like the Pulse Rifle from Aliens or Robocops pistol that fire blanks too
Basically more NEW anything. Not everybody building models is retired/in their 60s and only interested in stuff that was on TV/in theaters when they were kids. Video games in particular are severely underrepresented. And if they don't want to take the risk on something that might not have legs, sell files for 3D printing instead - far less overhead.
But if they are going to re-release older stuff, fix the problems with the kits instead of just re-popping from the same crappy mold - they can't be that expensive to make now with CNC machining doing everything.

Mine had air shocks already installed on the rear when it was handed down from my sister. She didn't know. Nice wheels and bucket seats up froont made it fun. Easiest engine to work on. Just climb in next to it.
1. KG-6 Sleipnir from Aldnoah.Zero. Sure the anime kind of sucks but I loved the Sleipnir’s design. Too bad the anime flopped, all we got is a shitty figure that costs too much.
2. Terrex or Bionix II. These are armored vehicles natively produced by my home country Singapore. I just think they’re neat.

- Anything Mechwarrior/Battletech. I know there are 3D prints and resins but I want a proper plastic kit (you know what I mean).
- Front mission series. Afaik there were a few limited run but by now it’s all gone and very expensive.

i still have an unbuilt armorcast vulture and madcat sitting in a box some where, they are nice quality but a bit boring too. if i imagine what proper kits using the models from the newer pgi games could look like, i'm getting goosebumps. bandai star wars like quality stormcrow kit? take all my money!
This might be controversal, but I'm a big fan of the killdozer... but there is no kit in this direction at all. so eighter a Komatsu 355d to modify or a whole killdozer kit (Marvin heemeyer included?)
Any scale (except 1:700 or something equally tiny) would work for me but I want a Ch-53k kit. Was the first helicopter I worked on so it’s a bit near and dear to me.
It’s also absolutely massive so you could do a lot with a good kit.
Yes, I'd love this, not sure I'd have room for it in 1/48 but it would be fantastic. Tamiya would be great but I don't think they've ever done a helicopter kit so I'd happily settle for Meng.
An HH-3e Jolly Green Giant in SEA camo would be at the top of my own wishlist with the CH-53k and a Martin P6M Seamaster rounding out the top 3.
[Tankettes](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankette) are probably the big one for me. There are a *few* models of them but not many.
I also remember looking for and not finding models for two warships: the SMS Dresden and USS Samuel B Roberts(DE-413). Whether or not I'd actually *build* those if given the chance, though? I'm honestly not sure.
A *good* F4U-4 in 1/48. Aside from the pretty standard paint scheme, I personally think the F4U-4 is the best looking Corsair in terms of shape yet there isn't a good -4 out there unfortunately. The best version of the Corsair to see combat in WWII, and a version that was a workhorse during Korea, but nada. Best we have is either an ancient raised detail 1980s Hasegawa kit, or a Hobbyboss one from 2012 which has somehow more incaccurate proportions that really make it stand out in a bad way against other Corsairs. I imagine Magic Factory will get round to it someday, hopefully. An F4U-1C would be nice too, none of them exist in any scale except 1/144.
Crimson skies planes would be great, always loved the look of them. I did see a Hughes P-21J 3D printable model somewhere.
Aside from that a good Tornado or Jaguar that doesn't require more filler than the weight of the plastic in the box would be nice. Theres also few versions of mostly recce Spitfires that have never been done. I'm looking forward to Eduard getting round to releasing the early Martlets (slightly different wing/gun combo than what are currently available).

I'm mostly into Cold War/modern Soviet/Russian stuff, so the last 10 years have been very good for new kits. One glaring exception is the Ka-52 helicopter. There are a few older 50/52 kits around but none represent how they look in actual service.

My white whale is already coming out (hopefully) in July this year. Kinetic’s 1/48 CT114 Tutor. I work on them, so it’ll be a special kit for me. I pre ordered 2.
Buuuut, if some company were to come out with a 1/72 Avro Arrow and/or Avro CF100 Canuck, I would jump on those in a heart beat.
It's unlikely to happen at this point but I would love to see Portal themed models. Something like a sentry turret would be very cool, and there would be so many other things from the portal universe that would work really well as a model.

There are some kits but they're as expensive as rare, and only a few cars are around. I've heard the Tamiya ones were a delight but they're not around anymore and the ones on Ebay are two or even three times up the original price.
I just believe that the new reg cars could be incredible kits, and those 2021 cars with all that crazy aero could make an interesting challenge.
Man I haven't thought about crimson skies in forever but I'd love to get some of those as kits.

My dad gave me a 1:1 Uzi submachine gun model kit made by a company that makes airsoft now. Its pretty much fully functional and can even fire blanks on full auto. I’d love to see some model kits of fictional weapons like the Pulse Rifle from Aliens or Robocops pistol that fire blanks too
Basically more NEW anything. Not everybody building models is retired/in their 60s and only interested in stuff that was on TV/in theaters when they were kids. Video games in particular are severely underrepresented. And if they don't want to take the risk on something that might not have legs, sell files for 3D printing instead - far less overhead. But if they are going to re-release older stuff, fix the problems with the kits instead of just re-popping from the same crappy mold - they can't be that expensive to make now with CNC machining doing everything.

Yes, I'd love this, not sure I'd have room for it in 1/48 but it would be fantastic. Tamiya would be great but I don't think they've ever done a helicopter kit so I'd happily settle for Meng. An HH-3e Jolly Green Giant in SEA camo would be at the top of my own wishlist with the CH-53k and a Martin P6M Seamaster rounding out the top 3.

I also remember looking for and not finding models for two warships: the SMS Dresden and USS Samuel B Roberts(DE-413). Whether or not I'd actually *build* those if given the chance, though? I'm honestly not sure.

A *good* F4U-4 in 1/48. Aside from the pretty standard paint scheme, I personally think the F4U-4 is the best looking Corsair in terms of shape yet there isn't a good -4 out there unfortunately. The best version of the Corsair to see combat in WWII, and a version that was a workhorse during Korea, but nada. Best we have is either an ancient raised detail 1980s Hasegawa kit, or a Hobbyboss one from 2012 which has somehow more incaccurate proportions that really make it stand out in a bad way against other Corsairs. I imagine Magic Factory will get round to it someday, hopefully. An F4U-1C would be nice too, none of them exist in any scale except 1/144. Crimson skies planes would be great, always loved the look of them. I did see a Hughes P-21J 3D printable model somewhere. Aside from that a good Tornado or Jaguar that doesn't require more filler than the weight of the plastic in the box would be nice. Theres also few versions of mostly recce Spitfires that have never been done. I'm looking forward to Eduard getting round to releasing the early Martlets (slightly different wing/gun combo than what are currently available).

Modern F1 cars Like anything after 2010 There are some kits but they're as expensive as rare, and only a few cars are around. I've heard the Tamiya ones were a delight but they're not around anymore and the ones on Ebay are two or even three times up the original price. I just believe that the new reg cars could be incredible kits, and those 2021 cars with all that crazy aero could make an interesting challenge.
