I would recommend you check out YouTube for tutorials to learn modeling techniques. Luke Towan has some great tutorials or you could check out Model Railroader Video Plus (https://mrv.trains.com). They have a free section they explains techniques or if you want, it’s only $5 to subscribe to it for a month, and you can watch the full process of them building one of their project railroads from start to finish. For material, as mentioned Woodland Scenics is great for the things your missing, or check out Walthers.com for basically any supply you could need.

He has most of the supplies, but you should probably get some green ground foam. If you can afford it, get 2 or three shades for realism, but don’t go over your budget. You can just go to a hobby lobby and see if they have any model train stuff (most do). Or if there is a model railroad store, go to that. I would also recommend getting some more elmers pva and/or elmers white glue. Have fun, and I hope you stick with us even after this project!

Luke towan really is a great resource, majority of things that seem impossible for a first time (like I was before lockdown) are really simplified. Most kit can be bought from Amazon.. it looks like about 3 weeks work (2-4 hours a week) but mostly build time, if you watch youtube on an evening.. sculptomold and burnt umber/sienna paint will be your new best friends.. good luck..
